Oh well, The BaitMonkey ( the use of capital letters is mandatory when you mention his name ) is the evil spirit ( like RW said: The Dark Side ) that lives in every person that constantly murmurs, whispers, talks or yells ( depending upon the severity of the case ;D ) at your ear everytime you see something appealing or attractive saying: BUY IT ! 8); it doesn 't matter if you already have it ( there are different colors and sizes ya know ), if you really need it ( who NEEDS 20 rods n 'reels ? ), if you can afford it ( that 's why somebody invented credit cards ), if your 're going to get into trouble for getting it ( instant satisfaction is a must and the most important aspect ). Besides, not only he constantly bugs you, he even takes control of the situation, suddenly the mail man appears at your door with a package ( or two or three ) adressed to you from BPS, Cabela 's, ***, Angler 's Paradise and you can 't remember when you purchased those goodies.

I 'm not The BaitMonkey like RW said, consider me as HIS spokesman, he speaks to all of you through me. :

Well I just had a visit from his older brother the "boat monkey". He is by far meaner and nastier!!! I had to make him leave so I gave in and am buying a 187cx Champion tomorrow. He showed up after I burned another cylinder in my other boat for the second time. I beat him away the first time, but he showed up again this time with a vengance. He won, I lost this fight. Oh well, you can't win them all.

By the way he promised me if I bought this boat, he would keep his younger brother away for awhile. I hope he keeps his word.

watermelon colored jigs for this weekend. :

Well, they had all their fishing rods on sale

I'm over there looking through the rods and my wife (baitmonkey in disguise) comes up and says oooh honey their Falcon lowriders are on sale. Haven't you been wanting one of those??? ???

Yeah I said but I need so much other stuff too, well go ahead and get one you deserve it you work so hard for your money, go ahead and treat yourself. :-/

rebbasser, keep your eyes on Academy the gentleman in the hunting department said they were going to be having one of their 2 for 1 sales sometime this fall but could'nt give me exact dates.

I had a visit from the baitmonkey this morning. I was having trouble getting line onto a spinning reel. My first thought was, "I have to buy a new reel" Sigh......the problem was soon solved. I'll have to find a different excuse to get that new Stradic.

OMG! I put the baitmonkey on hold for a while! I didn't know how I did that! I just walked into my local tackleshop to get some bait and then I saw a bunch of Kreatures, senkos, dingers, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jigs etc that i neeeded. The baitmonkey was whispering in my ear "grab them. you need them badly even though you have a bunch of each already...!!!!! GRAB THEM!" I said NO! and I turned my head and ordered a dozen minnows and 2 dozlen crawlers and painfully walked out!
