Just heard from him. He is going in far bypass surgery in the morning. Let's put him in our thoughts.

Went through that two years ago. It takes a year to feel normal. He is in for a couple rough weeks, for sure. Prayers sent.

Update. Surgery was Friday, triple bypass, no heart damage.
He may be going home today.

As someone who worked for years in rehab hospitals, he'll have a rough while getting to where he feels normal again, but I know he can do it! My prayers go out for him having a speedy recovery, and I'm glad all went well in the surgery.

I think all 70,000 of us on this site will pray for his successful and fast recovery.
We could flood him with cards if we had his address but I think sending best wishes to him on this site is enough.

Sam, what a nice idea. After some thought, why don't we just PM him. He won't be doing anything at all for several weeks. One of my best friends went through this a few years back, and for the first eight weeks his world was the bedroom, bathroom, recliner, and the hallway connecting them all he did was rest, and walk the hallway.

Just heard from Rahlow. he's been home since Tuesday, and in his words "doing well but weak as dish water".
