I was driving through a nice neighborhood near my house and saw and strange white cardboard sign. It said "HE LEFT ME AND ISNT COMING BACK, SALE!!" So passed by and turned around and turned down the street and saw two tables full of clothes, tools, and some camo hunting gear and several fishing rods she had sitting in a barrell.
there were already several men grabbing stuff.
I ended up with 5 pair of carhart jjeans 34/32- 30 bucks
4 Abu Garcia C4 reels (1-4600, 2-5600, 1 6600) 80 bucks
4 Ugly Sticks Cat Fish rods 40 bucks
1 G Loomis Inshore Rod (the old green ones) 50 bucks
And a tote FULL of hard baits and Soft baits (lots of Rapala DTs, SK cranks, Sebile Hard baits
and the rest is mainly Zoom and strike king soft pastics) 30bucks
Landing net 5bucks
Kobalt 153 piece socket/ratchet set 20bucks.
I gave her 260 for all that stuff!!
I actually had o get her to hold the stuff and ran to the ATM, i thought of writing a check, but then i thought "So dont leave a paper trail with your name on it"
She said that she made over 600 before i came through. She said that she had already sold all of the rods and reels that he had kept in the house earliersomehow in thethe morning Wow. Evidently her husband left her just before Christmas and hadnt been back to get his gear.
Let this be a lesson to you guys...take your stuff with you.
wow...good find there.
Hopefully the stuff you bought doesn't have any bad mojo associated with it
What a steal. Nice! I need to keep my eyes open for those types of signs.
That's like the divorce cases you hear about when the wife sells the hubby's brand new $80,000 Mercedes for $5,000 to spite him.
Smart to not leave a paper trail with a check.
Darren, one of my friends here in town bought his first Gambler boat that way. In 2008 he found a2000 21ft Gamber with a 225 Merc for 11k on ebay. He messaged the seller because that didnt sound right to him and found out that she got it in the divorce and that 10k was the payoff amount..needless to say, he drove to florida to pick it up!
Evidently he isn't familiar with "Brad Paisley"

I never seem to be in the right place at the right time for deals like that. Maybe it's a good thing, because I'd probably have left a paper trail!
Except for my boat, ive never really found good deals (when i have the extra dough)
That sounds like a good deal. . . . BUT . . .All I've got to say about that is Karma, Karma, Karma. Me, I wouldn't want any part of the feud between that nameless guy and that woman. All you know is her side of the story. There are two sides, and many times more than two, to every story. Not to say that the dude doesn't deserve it, but, I wouldn't touch any of that gear, just wouldn't, that's just me.
If I knew the guy, I might buy it all and then call him up later and offer it all back for cost. I don't know, it would really depend on how much spare money I had that particular week.
I spent a decade as a police officer, getting in other peoples business that i didnt wana be in. I can really care less at this point. I do know for a fact that her story is legit. And theres nothing criminally wrong with what she did. Its a CIVIL matter.
I dont believe in mojo or Karma. I believe that people make choices and then theres things that happen as result of those choices.
I know OF them, but i dont actually know the guy on a personal level. The guy is my dads age and his new girlfriend is my wifes age. LMAO
Haha the stuff was hardly show worthy...except for the pants, the stuff is WELL worn. The reels have pretty rough boat rash and need to be cleaned and oiled. There were a couple cranks in the package but most of it has been used...most of the plastics are open and missing a bait or two.
The Abu Garcias were no good?
That's Cool ~
So is selling off your spouses stuff dirt cheap a woman thing ?
We rarely hear of a Dude having a "She left me so I'm selling all her hand bags and Shoes" Sale.
Maybe it does happen but darn it, I just seem to keep missing them . . . . .

My buddy went thru a nasty divorce a few years ago and his ex-wife was driving around in a nice Mercedes with a vanity plate "My Half".
A couple of years later he bought a really nice boat and called it "The Other Half"...LMAO
Classic!

Nooo. They are fine. But they arent new and i call see that they havent been cleaned in a while. They do have some cosmetic scratches and rash associated with regular use and from the looks of them, they need to be stripped down and cleaned and i can tell that they need to be oiled.

Could it be he now does not have the energy to go fishing, or even care about it, for that matter?

My wife has shoes, hand bags, and clothes going to Goodwill if you're interested. She wears size six clothes, and 7 1/2 wide for shoes. Handbags are one size fits all.

All Mojos are bad, they're tip heavy.....lol
Hootie
My mom is driving around in a 2009 Nissan Rogue she bought for 10K off of some woman in her church who was getting divorced.
Moral of the story, never get married, just keep fishing.
Now that lesbians can get married and adopt children (in some states anyway), if they later get divorced there's going to be a heck of a dilemna in the courts over which one to screw over.
Bitter? Moi?
