Or lose it to a pike lol

fishing user avatarfrogflogger reply :

Twice in my time - 50yrs apart - I've seen a bass jump and take a red-winged blackbird out of the air.

fishing user avatarYeajray231 reply :

That'd be awesome

fishing user avatarbagofdonuts reply :

Cool. That's not even that big of a bass.

fishing user avatarYeajray231 reply :

I was thinking maybe 4-5 lbs. Hard to tell really.

fishing user avatarVAHunter reply :

That's awesome.  I caught a bass last year the regurgitated a muskrat in my live well.  That was a first for me.

fishing user avatarrazor6570 reply :

Never saw that before. That is awesome!

fishing user avatardavecon reply :

Cool !

I have bass fished all my life - 65 years but now fish for snook more often. An example of why is on a video you can google showing a snook trying to eat a 5 lb. bass. It's pretty neat.

fishing user avatarNYWayfarer reply :

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...

If Bass grew any bigger I would stop swimming in lakes.

fishing user avatarScarborough817 reply :

that fish is probably only 3 or 4 lbs

fishing user avatargeo g reply :

I have personally seen a baby duck taken by a big bass in a neighborhood lake.  The mother had 6 baby ducks when I first saw her.  Two weeks later she only had two left.  I'm sure some big bass find an easy meal with a baby duck.

fishing user avatareverythingthatswims reply :

My little brother watched a blue cat take out a gosling

fishing user avatarLooking for the big one reply :

although not a bass, this video is really tempting me to buy that duck.

fishing user avatarYakalong reply :

Had to watch that one a couple times, wow great vid :occasion14:

fishing user avatarwdp reply :

I've never seen a bass eat a duckling live, only in videos. But I have seen bass try to eat a few water moccasins. And not just little ones, like 4 footers! ?

fishing user avatarYeajray231 reply :

Yea that catfish video is BA!! Alot of people in my area are nuts about the catfish. Not bass.

Dang! How much ya'll think that catfish weighed?

fishing user avatarscaleface reply :

Ive seen a bullfog eat a sparrow .

Once I saw some sort of water bird out in the middle of a lake go under and never resurface  . I dont know what got it .

fishing user avatarlonnie g reply :

I have witnessed this as well. including  a bat that fell from under a bridge. it is something to see  mother nature in action.  p.s. thats why I don't swim with sharks!!

fishing user avatarWannabe bass angler reply :

Since we're talking about fish eating videos, how about fish eaten videos? My wife recorded a Cormorant sucking down a 6-8" catfish. I guess the eating part isn't much, but getting it on her cell phone was pretty cool!

fishing user avatargimruis reply :

I've seen a red tail hawk take out a stray cat.  Made my day.

fishing user avatarsamwise2u reply :

I've seen a Hawk carry off a snake!

fishing user avatarslonezp reply :

Tastes like chicken

fishing user avatarBankbeater reply :

It happened so fast I missed it the first time I watched it.  Had to watch it a second time.

fishing user avatarPaul Roberts reply :

Neat. Always amazing to see bass hunt.

I'm guessing though, that that bass was a fed/trained fish. The duck being alone was odd; it didn't act like a wild duckling.

I have seen that video before, that bass was very beat up from the looks of it. How big you think that Snook was? The +40 inchers I have caught had a mouth big enough to eat a 2-3 pound bass, not sure if a low/mid 40's Snook can swallow a +20 inch, 5 pound bass.

The bass does look like a well trained pet bass since it eagerly ate the baby duck. There's a lake I fish where I have seen bass eat baby ducks, but I have only seen bass eat baby ducks 2 times in this lake. Have heard big splashes at night time and notice less baby ducks the next couple days in this lake, so something must be eating them.

I saw it once on the lake and it was pretty amazing to see.The duck was injured. Not sure if the bass had been hitting it to mess it up but the next thing was a splash and do more duckling.

fishing user avatarclh121787 reply :

I wonDer if that duckling got put there. Never have I ever seen a baby duck swim that far away from the rest of the brood and mother

Lightning fast.

Tip: hit the gear in the bottom right corner, you can change the speed to 25% of normal speed, and it's STILL almost too fast to see.

fishing user avatarBrett's_daddy reply :

I saw bullfrogs eat baby ducks in my Grandfather's pond all the time growing up. If we caught them we'd usually beat the frog until he spit out the duck and nurse the duckling back to health (my Grandfather loved the ducks). But after seeing this video I so want to try that Savage Gear Suicide Duck...lol.

fishing user avatarCybrSlydr reply :

I thought you were talking about this video.

So do snapping turtles.  I've seen them many times lying in wait in the shallows for them to pass overhead.  Never actually saw them take one but I know darn well what they were doing there.

fishing user avatarBigSkyBasser reply :

I've seen what I think was a 4 lb smallie take a 9-12  inch snake off the surface before. Was shocking to say the least!

Much like the Sunfish from Live Target, this duck bait looks like something I could throw until I need a new shoulder without a single bite. I'm dubious to say the least.

fishing user avatarGundog reply :

I've seen a 16 inch bass "try" to eat a 9 inch trout. The bass tried to swallow the trout head first. He swam away with the tail of the trout sticking out of his mouth.
