I, as well as many others, look forward to this event every year. As of right now, we are 18 days away from it!!
Has anyone received their flyer in the mail yet which shows all the sales that will be going on? Anything worth mentioning?
I very much want ot go to this again this year.......but not sure it will be in my budget......maybe we'll just have ot see.
I love this event. I go every year. I dont always have a huge budget to blow, but it's still fun to go and take in all the activities. Good times
Last year was my first time..........but it was right here in my backyard.....so that made it cheap.
Not planning on buying anything and just wandering around and then 1 weighin......I guestimating would cost me a cool $500........thats alot for me.
But I have done crazier stuff.
um......I think you are referring to the Bassmaster Classic.................not the BPS classic

Duhhhhh. Yep.......you would be correct.
Did I mention I can be a dufus?
And to prove it I will not even delete my posts!
I don't have the budget to go. Im saving my money for a bass boat. Im cheering for Brandon Palaniuk to win the Classic.
What date does it end? I'm going March 8th so I hope it is still going on. I haven't received the flier for the Spring Classic, just an angling catalog about a month ago.
February 28 - March 16TH
Great looks like I'm in luck. Can't wait to spend all my tax return money.
I don't get a flyer and can't find one online. Is it available online?
the flyer will be posted online AFTER the presidents day sale. If not this weekend, look for it next week. Some people are already getting them in the mail.......not I though
I just checked, can't find it online. I hope somebody finds it and posts it soon!
If you get it early it will be your duty to post it for all
Too bad it's not as big as it used to be. When I was in elementary school the Springfield Bass Pro was one of the very few if not the only Bass Pro store in the country. The Spring Fishing Classic was always held sometime around Easter. It was a huge deal! All the big names in bass fishing would show up to work at vendor booths and give seminars. They'd have midnight madness and blue light specials along with other normal sales. A few years they even had the Legends Tournament that all the biggest legends of the sport would compete. The whole experience was super super cool and I wish they'd bring it back. We went 3 or 4 years in a row and we live halfway across the country!
Just got the ad in mid February's bass master magazine. Reel trade in feb 28 - march 5th. Rod trade in March 7 - march 11. Daily specials march 7&8 and 14&15.

How does the Rod and Reel trade in work?
if you give BPS a fully functional reel of any value, they will give you a $ amount off of a new one. the value that they give you is based on the dollar amount of the reel you'd like to buy

Lets say I traded in an Abu Garcia silver max for a Pro Qualifier, how much would the Pro Qualifier cost?
Don't quote me on this but I think you'd get $10 or 15 off. When the flyer comes out, it will tell us in there what the trade values are
Basically you take them any working reel and youll get a new reel at a set price. So the reels have two set prices. The regular price and the trade in price. No matter what reel you bring in the trade in price is the same.
Thats how a BPS employee explained it to me.

You dont want to do that you you wont get any more money for that reel than like a $5 spincaster. In fact they have $5 reel on hand to buy then turn in to get certificate. Theamount off then depends on the price of the new reel purchased. Same deal with rods see structure below in pic I took of an ad mailed to me prior.
Is that this years??? If so Tell me more what goodies await!
Anyone got their flyers yet?
im still impatiently waiting for mine to show up in the mail!!!

It doesn't matter what kind of reel you trade in as long as it works.
The trade in value is dependent on the price of the reel you are buying. The more expensive of a reel you are buying, the more money you get as a trade in credit.
I just received my flyer in the mail today, Feb 20. Read it carefully because everything is not available every day.....dates vary.
So can you trade in a spinning reel and get a bait caster I hope!?
I got my ad in too, yesterday actually.
Nothing really stood out at all. Same sales as years past.
i will take advantage of the reel trade in though
How is it so difficult for people here to understand the reel trade-in process?
It does not matter what reel you trade in, how old it is, how much it cost when you bought it, whether its a spinning reel or a baitcaster, what color it is, etc.
As long as the reel works, as in spins when you crank the handle. You get a discount. The amount of the discount is based on the price of the reel you a purchase. The more expensive the reel you purchase the more of a discount you receive.
This is why people buy a 5$ reel , trade it in, and get a 15-20$ discount. Take some time, do a little critical thinking, read about it, I promise it is not difficult to understand. Good lord. Rant over
So, if I trade in my Ci4 how much is my trade in value?
I live in Washington state which sadly does not have a Bass Pro Shop (yet). Are the prices on the ad good online as well?
