When fish are not biting and your in some super clear water, what would be the best finesse fishing presentation. The fineesiest of finesse? Also how about line test? Whats the lowest you will go?
Rage Tail Baby Craw on a split shot rig.
#4 Yo-Zuri Hybrid (green).
8-)
1/32 or 1/16 oz. Gopher Mushroomhead jig with a 3" Stickworm fished with 6lb. Floro on a ML rod.
Skipping a centipede crimped with a 1/32 oz split shot under docks, I like using braid with a florocarbon leader.
I've also been doing well fishing a 1/16 oz. Jackall Flickshake on 6 lb Floro with a ML rod.
Texas rigged Rage Hawg in Watermelon Red Flake
1/8-3/16 oz tungsten weight
4/0 straight shank round bend hook.
Berkeley Trilene Big Game 12#
4" Charlie Brewer smoke slider worm on a 1/16 oz Spider head and Trilene green XL.
4" ZOOM Finesse worm with a small bull shot weight 12-18" above. #2 Gammie EWG, red.
Known in my boat as "The Secret Worm" ;D
Brewer Slider heads & 4" worms. I find 6 lb is optimal, but you can drop down to 4 should you feel you have to. Use a sweep set on bites rather than a snap set. Should you have any of the old Berkley Power Bait Bungee Worms, the smaller size works great on Brewer heads.
2" kalin grub on a small split shot/#1 light wire hook on 6# test line.
Quote4" ZOOM Finesse worm with a small bull shot weight 12-18" above. #2 Gammie EWG, red.Known in my boat as "The Secret Worm" ;D
I fish practically the same set up for finesse.
But lately I have also grown fond of a 1/8oz shakey head with a 4.5" Straight Roboworm attached
my fineese rod with stradtic ci4 with 5 lb shooter
Great responses everybody. I've been using a splitshot rig. I got the Zoom ss+u tail worm and a 2/0 ewg gammy hook. And i place one #6 or #3 splitshot (depending on wind and depth) about 18-24 inches above the worm. I'm catching rock bass, Largemouth, small mouth, and PIKE (although every so often they gnaw through my line). As for line i have some #8 yo-zuri hybrid ultra soft. I would have gotten #6 but they were outta stock.
When somebody finds such a thing as "the perfect all around everytime ultimate fishing technique" I want to be the first to know, meanwhile I 'll keep on split shotting/monkey rigging/d-shotting/ nekoing and such.
my fineese techinque is jackall cross shad
and jackall reaper on jig head its ulimate fineese for me and it never fail for me in clear water

No kidding. zero has 'no shame in his game' ;D
i will be getting rod and reel same as a biley so ;D
A t-rigged 3" senko, or knockoff, with a 1/16 weight and a 1/0 hook. If you don't have a 3" senko just take a 6" bait and cut it in half. Because its more compact it lasts longer and doesn't tear up as easy.

Be sure to post some of your own pictures when you get it.
Rofl. Busted. ;D
All kidding aside, that is one beautiful rod though. I'm not sure if there is an ultimate finesse technique. You can finesse ANY lure if you use it properly. If you want to tie me down to one typically used finesse presentation, it'd be a flick shake. My lake is fairly deep with some pronounced weed edges in 15-25 FOW. Works fantastic when you work it down the drop offs just off the grass.
i will be getting this winter and i will post my pic
Drop shotting a small dill pickle with a 1/16 ounce weight and 4# test P-line CX.
Works exceptionally well in the dead of winter.
I fish in very clear water quite often. And depending on the conditions I will go as low as 4lb test floro. And I Dropshot 4" roboworms, nose hooked, or occasionly I will wacky rig my dropshot. And if the Robo isn't working I will try Senkos, either weightless, or with a flik shake type weighted hook, and almost always wacky rigged when using Senkos, and I down size the Senkos, using either 3" or 4". And just keep trying different colors until you get bit!
