7.5" in black slays bass just about anywhere. i prefer it over a 5" senko in pressured water or w/ spooky fish b/c it has a lighter splash down, larger profile and slower rate of fall.

Yep, I have a pack of 7 1/2 inch in purple June bug color. It's my preferred choice when t-rigging a worm.

I also use there incredi-craws in the se color

2 colors in 6inch for me. BLACK and MOCASSIN BROWN. I currently have about 50 new packs of each,i bought at 1.00 a bag per 15 each. Because they werent gonna sell 6inch anymore. So i took all they had in stock.........

Actually trying them out for the first time, myself.

Bought Fire & Ice at Walmart the other day. I normally don't go for such colors, but it came up in a lot of reviews, solo. Nada so far, but certainly not giving up.

I used to get caught up in color reviews all the time. i've come to realize that each lake has it's own 'personality'/preferred color. i fish several different lakes where the fish key in on a different color and size soft plastic.

I don't buy all the color craze, either. Walmart only had a few colors and that happened to be one of them, so why not... it coincided with reviews, too. Totally agree on lake personality. What works at one place may/may not work elsewhere.

7.5" ribbontail Culprit worms and Trickworms are the worms I fish with 80% of the time i fish with soft plastics. AS mentioned, it does seem that fish in certain lakes prefer certain colors, in my everyday lake it´s black shad, red shad and tequila shad what bass like, fire and ice doesn´t get any attention, however it´s a killer color in another lake i go to, go figure.

Nope, but I used to kill on them, back in the 90s. When Berkley Powerworms came out, I switched. These days, I've been tossing the Recon Worms and big Anacondas. Caught a bunch of nice fish last night, fan casting a Sammy, and picking apart productive areas with a Recon Worm. I have no doubt a Culprit would have worked just as well - they're great baits too, the standard that most ribbon tails are built to.

So far for me the black shad, electric blue and the green shad have been productive but i haven't tried the other colors yet. I think since the fall season actually starts on 9/22 Sunday and the fall bite is on I my throw some 12"/10" culprits next.

I used to fish 7.5" fire and ice all the time. Don't use them anymore but they're still a good bait.

They're my pic when I want a ribbon tailed worm and the tail section can be used as a spinnerbait trailer when the nose gets torn up.

I have a box full of them in both 7.5in and 10in and they always seem to produce atleast a few fish no matter what the conditions. I've had the best luck with junebug/grape shad, red shad, pumpkinseed, and fire & ice.

I was thinking the culprit worms were being discontinued but there just sold out because there a hot bait. I went to the culprit website to find all the worm color and sizes I wanted. Thank God another one of my favorite baits didn't get discontinued this year.

I find a lot of my hotter crankbait colors sold out lately. The Bomber Fat A's were discontinued in the older colors. I been scrambling to purchase what I could of the Fat A's in all the discontinued colors. Every time it's slow I put on a Bomber Fat A and I get action most of the time. This tells me the older colors still work and catch fish.

I contacted one lure manufacturer about discontinuing certain model of there lures and they said when the demand and sales drop off they will discontinue it. That's like pulling the rug out from under me when I lose such a hot fish catching lure.

I've got a bag full of the trusty ol' culprits in 7.5, 10, and 12 inch. Favorite by far is a 7.5" grape/fire tail. The bass seem to love that color around here. My other go to color is/was bluegill. Seeing as they discontinued them the few I have left better last me for a long time.

I been building up a big stash of culprit worms in all sizes and colors too. I notice there are worms called "old monster" too. I believe there 10" long. Does anyone use these?

Black shad was always my favortie color in the 7.5 inch...love those worms

bigbill - I looked all over the culprit website and never did see the 7.5" worm in bluegill color. Gotta a link by chance?
