Well just like the title says, is Yum going out of buisness or what? I mean everything on their website is marked down to $2.99 and just about all the retailers are taking stuff off the shelfs or marking it down. I have a hard time believing that a company as big as Yum would shut down, but it's starting to look that way. Maybe their updating to a new scent or type of plastic, but I would think that we would've heard something about that before now. Does anybody know what's going on?
Supposed to be another new line from what I've heard.
Whenver PRADCO decides to refresh or introduce something new to their YUM line they clearance everything. That's exactly what they did when they changed LPT for F2.
Does anybody know what the new line is going to be? Was there anything at ICAST? Was their that much difference between LPT and F2?
YUM is Pradco, which includes Summit, Moultrie, K&H, Code Blue, Rebel, Bomber, Boo-Yah, Lindy, Cotton Cordell, Heddon, Arbogast, Silverthread, Xcalibur, and YUM. They aren't going out of business.

There are those that swear F2 is different to LPT, I swear I see no difference at all, one of the things I really miss are the 3" Dingers, they were discontinued with the change. Man those things were deadly, fortunately for me there´s a guy here that pours them.

There is a difference between the F2 and the old LPT. In the waters I fish, before I found River Rock Baits, there were 2 stick worms that really caught fish, the Senko and the Yum Dinger wer the best, the Yum Dinger didn't come close to a Senko when it came to fall rate or softness but the LPT scent, the fish just ate it and held on, other stick worms were too hard and the fish spit them super fast. When they went to the F2 formula, the Yum Dinger wasn't near as effective which made me go back to Yamamoto until I discovered River Rock, but the F2 is different and anglers around my area will pretty much all agree.
They better not be, i'll make a yum dinger run like all these ole' ladies do for "BREAD AND MILK!" When snow comes in...
Bread and milk!!
I didn't use the LPT much but I will say that fish still hold on to the F2 Dingers. I felt a thump this past summer and just to test how long the fish would hold it i let the fish run around with it before setting the hook. The fish held on a good 30 to 45 seconds before I decided that's enough and hooked him and got him to the boat. Have any of you guys that used the LPT ever do anything similar?

That is exactly what I´m talking about, I got both and I swear I see no difference at all, I´m not much of a stickbait fan, I do fish with them but not to the point that I can say: " oh well, there sure is a difference ! ", what I like about Dingers:
1.- is the fact that they last several fish compared to the 1 or 2 I get out of a GYCB/KInami,
2.- they catch fish consistently
3.- more units to a bag
Notice that I didn´t mention price, to me that doesn´t count much.
I figured that they were too large to close their doors, but I thought maybe Pradco was getting rid of them. Didn't Pradco buy Bandit out too?On 11/14/2014 at 10:38 PM, J Francho said:YUM is Pradco, which includes Summit, Moultrie, K&H, Code Blue, Rebel, Bomber, Boo-Yah, Lindy, Cotton Cordell, Heddon, Arbogast, Silverthread, Xcalibur, and YUM. I feel the same way about the Big Bite Bait's Trick Stick. On 11/15/2014 at 12:35 AM, Raul said:That is exactly what I´m talking about, I got both and I swear I see no difference at all, I´m not much of a stickbait fan, I do fish with them but not to the point that I can say: " oh well, there sure is a difference ! As do I. BBB are my favorite plastics. Quality to price is good.

Yes sir they did. I started buying the old bandits when people started marking them down

OK, why would they get rid of their only full line plastics company? Yeah, they have BooYah, but that isn't nearly the line as YUM. It's winter, many companies sell down before the new year, and also to avoid excess inventory.
My ex-coworkers at BPS informed me that Yum is coming out with a new line of plastics. Hardly anything left in our Cincinnati store. What's left is on clearance.
Hootie
I bought an awful lot of YUM plastics last year, and I really did well with them. If there are clearance deals - grab them. The baits work.
Did that, craw papi, and mighty craw. Right now Field and Stream is running a sale on Zoom plastics. I picked up several packages of tube baits.
Hootie
One of the new Yum soft plastic/jerkbait was featured in BASS Christmas article. New stuff.....just like every year.
2.99 a pack aint bad like others say wait for clearance time walmart will put 1$ on them and they will be gone in a day.great plastics
I bought a bunch of 4" and 5" Dingers at local Cabela's 2 weeks ago.....88 cents a bag. Limited color choices by the time I got to them and most were 4", but still a good deal. Sticks are so popular that most places will have them on sale at some point during the winter. I don't care what brand or color I'm buying as long as I get them cheap. Some of my better deals on these come from Gander every year.
I don't know why they would. That's why I'm asking. On 11/15/2014 at 4:01 AM, J Francho said:OK, why would they get rid of their only full line plastics company?
There's a YUM drop shot bait coming out that looks pretty sweet......
Yeah, walmart clearance deals on the yum baits can be unreal. Stock up for a whole year!
YUM Wooly Bug and Craw Papi are two of my favorite plastics.
Well i just tried to order some craw papi's and noticed that tw doesn't have them at all anymore. I hope yum hasn't discontinued them completely.
I just received my BASS and FLW magazines in the mail both had several new baits 5 from yum
1. Thump in dinger senko with a curly tail 6 inch
2. Swim in dinger basically a swim senko 4 and 5 inch
3. Kill shot a flat grub with a ribbed body and a raised tail ridge it 3 and 3/4 of a inch
4. Warning shot ribbed body with a small and thin tail 3 and 3/4 of a inch
5. Sharp shooter smooth robo worm like body with a spear head tail 4 and 1/2 and 6 inch
So I'm thinking there's some new baits coming out over at yum also TWH only has 4 yum baits
love the Mighty Craw and Big Show instead of the bb cricket
Ok, can anyone tell me why they dropped sponsorship with Bill Dance, Timmy Horton, and Edwin Evers??? They all seemed to have switched over at the same time, just curious because I dont see anyone wearing yum anymore...
