What's everyone's thoughts on fishing care package vs mystery tackle
Box or lucky tackle box and your experiences with these company's
I have Mystery Tackle Box right now and enjoy it. I haven't had Lucky Tackle Box yet but I've seen plenty of good reviews and I think it's very similar to MTB. STAY AWAY from Fishing Care Package. Go check them out on the Better Business Bureau.
The 6th Sense tackle box has been getting a lot of praise lately and I would check them out as well.
Yea I had to contact the better business Bureau about fishing care package would not respond to any emails and charged my card twice for 2 boxes of the same month the worst company I have ever delt with
I enjoyed Mystery Tacklebox the two years I had it. The only issue I had (which was no big deal) was a package of hooks were supposed to be in one box and they weren’t. I contacted them through this site and in 2-3 days I had my hooks. Great service and a great way to get tackle.
I've gotten the LTB XL box for 4 years now. Thankfully, next month is the last box I'm ever getting. As a beginner angler, they're probably very practical and useful. In fact, for the last 2-3 years I've given basically every one of my boxes to friends and family as gifts to help them out with the sport. However, I've noticed a big decline over the past year or so in terms of name brand products in the boxes. It's become rather sad to see.
I took advantage of some discounts on getting your first box of both Mystery Tackle Box and Lucky Tackle Box during their holiday promos last year. Although I did enjoy getting some baits I probably wouldn't venture to pick up myself, I ultimately decided to just spend the same amount of money on tackle I knew worked. That's just me though. Trying to fish on the cheap.
I got a MTB for Christmas and enjoy it a lot but they do add a lot of their own brand stuff to it which some of their lures are a bit strange.

I subscribed for a couple months last year and this is the main reason I cancelled.
STAY AWAY FROM FISHING CARE PACKAGE!!!
In general, I don’t think tackle subscriptions are an efficient way to acquire tackle.
The value in them comes from the aspect of surprise.
I currently subscribe the the Super 6 Tailored box. I have also received MTB and LTB before. They all have quality tackle. Honestly I have been acquiring a lot of stuff I will likely never use. The variety of tackle sure does look cool though.

x1000 Don’t do it. Been dealing with problems since I tried the $1 first box last month.

MTB Pro box's come with some good stuff. If my kids were a little older I'd totally sign them up because "unboxing" stuff is quite a popular thing these days and they get all excited about mystery items. As a seasoned angler, I can't really get into it because I know like 60% of the box is stuff I wont use more than once because it's it's not products i'm familiar with or have confidence in.
I'd rather have 10 packages of dbombs vs 10 packages of random baits i've never heard of.
I have been doing the 6th Sense box for several months now. Super happy with it. Great lures at a really good price.
Yea I have only did the 1 dollar box with fishing care package so far and it's been one of the worst experience I havever had dealing with a company nothing but issues and really no easy way to cancel u have to email them to cancel which they will not respond plus I don't like my card being charged for no reason at all but I finally got it taken care of as far as the card being charged but still have no baits from them yet to determine the quality of their boxes
Right now currently I have MTB Pro and 6th sense super 6 box. I like having them but I'm starting to get duplicates from MTB. I have received 4 3/8 oz chartreuse catch co spinnerbaits and 2 packs of pegs. The 6th sense box is great. The quality and color schemes on their bait is awesome. For beginning anglers I would say the 6th sense box is a great way to beef up your hard bait and jig selection.
I have tried a few. I do not need the tackle, but love the mystery of it.
MTB elite: best of the popular services, but too many Livetarget baits. Still Happy with contents overall, good variety.
LTB: was the best 2 years ago, but boring boxes since Tournament series came out. Not worth it.
6th Sense tailored: Wow. Great box, but would not need 12 boxes a year. Will definitely be sending a few for gifts.
Bait Crate XL: great smaller brands. Not special value, but always a surprise. Lots of plastics and jigs.

I have seen the same thing.
I did MTB for a little over 3 years, and LTB off-and-on during the same time. I liked both services when they were primarily about giving exposure to small companies and promoting variety and new items, but I thought MTB was the more consistent of the two, particularly with the Pro box.
But over time, the business model seemed to change. The total retail value of the items in the box dropped. I started getting duplicates, which MTB previously had said they would never do, and that they had developed algorithms to avoid. I started seeing more and more close-outs and discontinued items. And then MTB went all-in on their own catch-co brand, and I would get boxes where the majority of items were catch-co or Karl's B&T, except for one or two items that were duplicates of something they sent me months earlier.
Then they changed their name and became a full-blown online tackle retailer, and it became clear that the purpose of the monthly box had shifted to being a promotional system for their own brand items, and for exclusives sold on their site. As a result, the main reasons I had subscribed in the first place no longer applied, and I stopped my subscription.
I've tried both LTB and MTB. I think they're great if you're starting out but believe the value of what they send has dropped a bit.
My oldest son just got into fishing, I've gotten him a year of each over the last two years for Christmas. He loves getting them each month.

I'm about to subscribe to 6th Sense too. Even though I have 40 or so of their cranks, about 10 of their jerkbaits, and about 15 jigs.........lol.
About the only things I still carry from MTB and LTB are the terminal tackle I received and some leftover plastics. The rest have gone to my kids.
I very much disliked mystery tackle box. been getting 6th sense now for a few months. its awesome!
I just signed up for 6th Sense too. Although I already have pretty much every lure they sell! LOL

Cancel your card and get a new one. I’ve had to do it before. Only way to stop the *** charges.

I did the day I discovered it charged my card.you know it's sad when a person has to do that just to get out of a subscription that supposedly you can cancel anytime.I dont see this company being around too much longer and it's better if they aren't
MTB for 2 years now - the wife bought it for me for xmas and hasn't stopped since. Thanks wife! Since she gets the notification of shipping, she makes me open the box in front of her as she loves seeing the stuff too and wants my reaction on it.
I love the mystery of it and it has some things I would never buy it in but it also comes with some stuff I was so impressed with I bought a ton of them during their xmas sale.
Oddly I have used everything they have ever sent in some way and this is a great way to try stuff you would not normally throw cause you have it.
I had mtb for several months. I was never disappointed, I didn’t have much stuff and it was a great way to try new things.
I never have subscribed to a service. I'd rather go out and buy a bait that I know I will use instead of getting something in the mail that will sit on the shelf.

Sounds like there may be a bug in our system. We track products we send you so you should not get any duplicates within the same account. If for some reason you made a new account then we can't track it. Please contact our support team at support@mysterytacklebox.com and they will be able to help replace or credit you for any duplicates.
