If you had to go to one site to find all your "hard to find" or "go to" baits and tackle warehouse weren't an option what would it be? I only ask because it seems like whenever I go to TW to order some baits they are out of what I am looking for. I am not a big fan of Cabelas or Bass Pro because it seems like they only cary the mainstream baits. What are some other good sites out there. thanks!
im stumped, TW is my go to!!!!!!
im highly interested in the responses to this one as well.
I don't want anyone to think I am bashing TW because they have always been great to deal with. I guess they are just so popular its hard for them to keep up with demand sometimes.
TW is my go-to tackle site. But I will sometimes use anglersupply as a back up, especially since I use a lot of Zoom plastics
basstackledepot.com I've never ordered from them because TW has always had what I needed but they do carry some things TW does not.
It wouldn't let me type out the actual site, is there something wrong with it? :-?
fisher mans warehouse . com <---- all one word
histacklebox.com
I too have the same problem with TW! They NEVER have anything i want/need! The only other site i use is BPS.
Brannan's Bait Shop, Powderly, TX
They carry some hard-to-find tackle.

Somebody already mention bass tackle depot...
so I'll mention tackle expert.com

BPS is good and all, but don't you feel that their prices are always slightly inflated as compared to others around?
and i will agree, TW does have the prob. of being out of the gear i want!!!

i do like on the BPS site how you can read all the reviews of the products though......
thats a major plus in my books!!!!
There is really no inflation in their prices. They just sale them at MSRP and not a penny less. TW has SOME products under MSRP but not everything. BPS has great customer service, fast shipping and a no questions asked return policy. TW would be my number one just for the free shipping if they kept things in stock more. For example, a couple weeks back i wanted to order another Powell rod, out of stock. Than some more Spro Bronzeye frogs, out of stock in the colors i needed. Okay, maybe a couple Falcon rods, yup you guessed it, out of stock! Than i look at many other sites and they do have those items in stock so what the heck!!!!!
yea i have to agree that TW is my go to but they do have a problem with keeping itemss in stock. Its not really there fault.. everyone loves them so they order there and they just can't keep up with demand.. i suppose its a fact of life haha

If TW is backordered on an item, go ahead and order it. You'll get it when they get it. They aren't like BPS, where if an item is backordered, you may or may not get it in 3-4 months. Or your order will be canceled without notification.
Tackle Warehouse is without a doubt the absolute best online tackle merchandiser.
TW is always my first option but I did recently buy a Shimano Stradic MG for $129 at Monster Fishing Tackle .com...one word. TW had the same promotion but sold out of the size I wanted before I could get my order placed. I opted for the free ground shipping and still received it to my door in two days. Not bad given it was shipped from CA to TX.

I had a Powell 705C on backorder from TW for over 2 months! I finally called Keith at Powell and he hooked me up! BPS always emails me to let me know when the item will be in stock. I have even got free items from them when they take too long or free shipping. My personal experience with BPS has been great! As is true with TW, im just saying though!!!!!! GEEEEEEEZ
Any item that is out of stock at TW will have a restock date listed.
basstackledepot.com...has alot of items and they shipped to us from California to FL in 2 days on standard shipping. I was amazed.
what?
buytackle.com is ok but not as good as TW

To each his own I guess :-/
The one and only time i've ever been, or ever will go, to a BPS, I went with my dad to see what all the fuss was over. I needed an 8" huddleston. Went to their swimbait section and there was the one I needed, 8" ROF0 in Trout. SWEET!!! But wait, the price tag said $34.99.... Ken lowered the MSRP on his baits to $25 4 months prior. I argued with the fishing manager, even pulled out my phone and loaded up huddleston's website to show him. The manager was a complete "male organ" and refused to acknowledge that they were overcharging people by $10.
I also noticed that their 4" Tru Tungsten "swimbaits" were all 24.99 when you can get them at TW for 19.99.
So yea, I guess your right, not a penny less than MSRP, but $$$$ more.
And for the "no questions asked return policy"... they sure asked me a lot of questions when I tried returning waders where they sent me the wrong size. Took me about 15 minutes and 3 employees to finally talk them into letting me return them.
TW has much better customer service IMO. I ordered a Gloomis swimbait rod that got slightly damaged during transit. I didn't notice until about 10pm. So I called up expecting to leave a message only to find that a guy was still working. I told him what happened, he packaged up a new rod that night, along with a G-Loomis sweatshirt and sent it out at the next morning. When I got home the next day, it was sitting on my door. He had expidited the shipping. Friggin sweet customer service if you asked me. Try getting that from BPS.
But back to the original post, I must say it's pretty sweet that a majority of the websites mentioned on this thread are from Cali 8-) . It's great beacuse most of these places will have my package at my doorstep the next day. ;D
Oh yea, hooked up tackle . com (all one word) is another great place. They also cary some hard to find swimbaits, including BR's very own 2X4
Basstackledepot. Awesome site, used to be USACproshop...
Great responses folks! I appreciate all your imput...keep it coming! If it were a perfect world TW would always have what I want in stock because I really do like dealing with them and one thing I really like is that when I talk to someone with TW on the phone they are actually fisherman...now BPS on the otherhand...not so much.

The purchase I made yesterday actually said the item was in stock when I clicked add to cart. Once I got to my check out it then informed me that it was out of stock. I have also yet to have a restock date be entirely accurate. It even states that those are given by the manufacturer and subject to change.
BPS is my go to site, TW second only because of its prices (does have good selection though). As I stated in the other thread, TW is terrible about out of stock and in MY instances it has been 3 to 1 in favor of BPS for stocking. BPS has a very good reputation for returns and any other customer issues. I havn't had any problems with TW on that though either.
I like how BPS gives rewards points as well, they actually add up over time to buy something you need. Im not sure I need 23 TW Tshirts.
I sometimes use Ichiban Tackle for japanese lures, they charge a 16$ fee for shipping so I usually don't bother unless I order at least a 1/2 dozen baits or more. One nice thing is they offer used versions of some of their tackle, most of the ones I've tried have been in good condition.

.
Thats exactly right, because a company cannot publish a false ETA, it can only publish what the manufacturer tells them. Anytime you are dealing with that it is subject to change. I haven not purchased from Tackle Warehouse yet, but from what I have been told and seen, their service is generally much better than BPS. I have had numerous items in the past not be sent back it was backordered, and the website made no mention of it. Also, any item less than $5 at BPS is not placed on a backorder list, just removed from the invoice and charge. I guess those smaller purchases just isn't worth it to BPS to mail to me.

I Love those tackle warehouse shirts!

They have a pretty good selection of stuff and you can send for a catalog. I was in there a couple of weeks ago on my way back from Maine and they have one of the biggest selections of LuckyCraft I've ever seen.
