Whats everyones Favorite Dropshot bait?
Which bait has been most productive For dropshotting?
Which has been least productive for dropshotting?
Personally I dont really know if I have a Favorite,I do have confidence in a few:
3 Inch Berkley Dropshot worm(looks like a mini Senko) nowhere near as thick, just a tiny little worm.
3 Inch Berkley Ringworm specifically for Dropshotting
4.5 inch Kinami Cut tail Worm
4 inch Tiemco Skunk Series PDL Swimbait/dropshot (A japanese made bait)
Ive run out of all the above,so now im into using a Lunker City Rascal Worm. Havent had many bites on it,but one bite came like a clap of thunder. Just hit it like a freight train. Just about doubled my rod over, and it turned out to be a dink. I think I may have been caught in the rocks when that fish struck.
The cut tail worms,Lunker City Rascals and The JDM bait have all been used with Megastrike and though I havent caught any HUGE fish(largest being about 4.5#'s) Ive caught good numbers every outing.
The only thing a use a lizard for... Baby brush hog and tubes produce for me as well.
#1 Roboworm FX Sculpin
#2 Jackall Cross Tail Shad
#3 Berkley Power Bait Hand Poured Worm
#4 Jackall Flick Shake Worm 4.8"
If I cant get them to bite any of those, there will be no more drop-shotting that day.
#1 Dichoso Baits Nightcrawler
#2 Dichoso Baits Ringworm
#3 GYCB 4" Cut Tail
Although after seeing these posts I will probably try a few new ones.
1. Sniper snub in sandstone
2. robo worm
3. tiny fluke
whatever i grab out of my used baits bag.

4" lizard

4.5" straight tail roboworm
4 1/2 and 6" Roboworm straight tail and fat straight tail worms
Roboworm flat tail worm
*** and Zoom finesse worms
Yamamoto 4" kut tail
3" Berkley Gulp Minnow
Berkley Ripple Shad
Gene Larew Long John
and like someone else said, anything I pull out of the used baits bag.
3.5 Lake Fork Magic Shad in Tilapia (Ridiculous drop shot lure)
Zoom Meathead or Swamp Crawler in Green Weenie
Wacky Rigged Senko
Bass Magic Shakey Tail in Silver Shad
Berkely Gulp minnow for numbers, but my biggest drop shot bass came on the back half of a broken trick worm.
My all time favorite is a 4" GYCB cut tail in red. It's probably one of my biggest producers for the simple fact that it works wonders in any water clarity; especially clear water.
Reaction Innovations Flirt Tail worm in Okeechobee Craw color.

This year, my best drop shot bait has been some kind of a senko imitator. A Berkley Gulp sinking minnow, or a Bass Pro Sticko, or a Dinger or a Chompers. Something like a senko, but not as fragile.
I've experimented with numerous rod & reel set ups this year - spinning and bait casting. The most productive by far has been the Bubba drop shot rig - a flipping stick - 20 lb fluorocarbon line and a half ounce weight.
I've not had nearly as much success when I've tried to go lighter in line or rod action or weight.

Nose, flat side down.
The same 3" Berkley DS worms you are using. They are discontinued so I constantly look for them on ebay.

I was able to find them a few years ago in a 100ct bag. They were packaged as "seconds" from ffo.com. I should have stocked up. Man I miss those worms. I think the Berkley Powerbait Trout worms are the same thing.
Jackall Flickshake Worm, 4.8" and 5.8", nose and wacky
Roboworm Straight Tail
small beaver
A live shad, I Just tried that for the first time in my life last w/end and it won't be the last
I was using Stalker 4" green or black, but the bait shop ran out.
I bought Zoom Meatheads instead, now I won't be going back.
DO NOT USE A ZOOM FINESE WORM!!!!
Zoom Shakey Head Worm
Roboworm Straight Tail Worm
Poor Boy's DS Darter
4.5 roboworm morning dawn
3 inch jackall cross tail shad
4 inch gycb shad shape worm
3 inch gycb senko
What colors do you guys use for the straight tail worms? I always wondered what these worms are supposed to imitate: worm or baitfish?
Can't go wrong with any of the roboworms stuff and also I love the zoom tiny brush hog. This year I have experimented with drop shotting bigger worms and have done well with the zoom trick worm
4" senko wacky style
Well I guess I'm the only weirdo that dropshots a craw. The ragetail baby craw has been my most productive dropshot bait by far. A cut-tail thumper is pretty good too.

I don't think the color is as important as the action these baits give. 2 of my favs are the Senko and the Zoom Trick Worm, the senko looks best if you can get it falling vertically as often as possible with little or no weight added and the trick worm is tough to beat on a shaky head.

Primarily a baitfish mimic.
Colors:
Light, medium, dark. I don't get too specific with colors. Just use something in one of the three primary shades and you should be fine.
4 inch Renegade curly tail worm with the tail cut off wacky rigged has been by far my most productive drop shot bait this year. Bought from Walmart a couple of years ago and never threw them until about a month ago. Glad I opened them up!
