I just bought two Booyah Blades in 1/4oz and fished one for the first time yesterday. After losing a BPS spinnerbait, I put on a Blade with a 4" Mister Twister white trailer and caught two fish immediately. The first one on it went about 15", but the second went about 11". After I unhooked him, I looked at my bait, the willow blade, swivel and split ring to attach those to the frame were all gone. I figure a spinnerbait should last more than two fish so I emailed Booyah to see what they say about it. This is frustrating. Have you experienced this?
I bought a Booyah spinnerbait one time, and I had the same issue. I havent even looked anything Booyah since, its way too many bait companies out there who put out quality stuff to mess around with junk IMHO...
I have some booyah frogs, jigs, and buzzbaits. Haven't had any problems out of them, I can't comment on the spinnerbaits as I haven't tried them.
What baits would you recommend? I have War Eagle available relatively locally.
My three favorites are War Eagle, Stanley, and Terminator. Terminator lasts the longest for me.
I don´t know about now because it´s been ages since I purchased a spinnerbait, my favorite brand has been Strike King and I haven´t purchased in ages for a good reason don´t you think ? actually the 4 or 5 spinnerbaits I fish the most have been with me for maybe 20 years or so, the only thing I´ve done is change the skirts.

War Eagle makes a good spinnerbait, I'd avoid the extreme trokar, just because I don't like trokar hooks, but their other spinnerbaits are great.
To the OP what line were you using?
The reason I ask this is because I primarily use Booyah spinnerbaits, and I had a season in where I lost several booyah SB. Around the same time I switched to braid as my main line for all my outfits. As an experiment I switched back to copoly for my SB applications and the problem went away.
I was using P-Line CX 10lb. Ive not had this issue with any other baits. I'm looking to grab a few new baits next weekend when I run to town next.

War Eagle makes great spinnerbaits. Mostly what I use.
I have a booyah pikee spinnerbait that is quality, thick wire with twisted eye, has caught many bass.
the little 3/16 pond magic spinnerbaits are really nice. Sharp hooks, nice swivels, good paint. I used the night model with the big single Colorado and had nothing but problems, though. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was something to do with shoddy split rings.
War Eagle for the win!!!
Yeah, the little pond magic spinnerbait is the only Booyah one I have and I like it quite a bit, never had a problem.
Did the blade arm actually break, or did the wire bend out, or the split ring fail?
I've had that happen with a cheaper luck E strike spinnerbait before, The curve at the bottom wasn't closed all the way and It fell off just when casting. I don't fish spinnerbaits too often, I havent bought one in a long time, my favorite I have ever purchased was a Peppers baits Spinnerbait. They have a great hook, top of the line components, are the perfect size, and most importantly do not have an overly long arm.
My problem with SB's is mostly keeping skirts on them. They just aren't made like they used to be. Where I fish most of the time, SB is not an everyday bait. It seems that every time I really start catching them on it, the skirts fall off. Same with buzzbaits. And replacement skirts seem to be even lower quality.
The split ring failed. That's from junk hardware.
I had the same problem with Stanley wedge spinner baits. They caught a ton of fish but were too fragile.
I love venom Lures hidden head. Been fishing the same one all year. These seem to balance better than any other brand I've tried for a slow roll approach (can still burn like any other spinner).
Full disclosure: I've never tried this ever popular war eagle. I'm gonna grab a couple to try myself.
I use Strike King and War Eagle.Pretty durable baits
Mann's classic twin Indiana gold blades in white for clear to slightly stained water and chartruese for darker water.
The mister twister 4" split double tail trailer is a killer with a trailer hook. I've never used another trailer that had this lifelike swimming action. I do trim the length of the grubs body so it fits the length of the shorter hooks.
Plus the smaller 1/8, 3/16, 1/4oz spinnerbaits in some cases seem balanced better. The 4" split double tail grub adds a wider more full body look to the spinnerbaits.
The Mann's spinnerbaits were called the Hank Parker Classic spinnerbaits but now there just called classic spinnerbaits.
Booyah and Terminator are both serial offenders of the same crime in my boat. I've watched so many blades fly off of both when a fish jumps that I don't buy either anymore.

It happens all the time. Call/email them they will send you replacement. It is how the bend the wire to attach the split ring, cannot argue too much they catch fish and have nice blades. Best bang for buck spinnerbait on the market.
I'm a war eagle fan myself although the wire they use does break often but not as often as booyah they are the worst I've found when it comes to this. They do catch fish though so there's the trade off

I emailed them as soon as I got home and opened a Bob's '47 for my liquid refreshment. I'm awaiting a response.
Never used a Booyah spinnerbait but Ihave had worse happen with others . Most recently A Storm Spin Shad . It was catching fish like mad and then one came off. The wire broke and all I had left was a piece of wire and the blade .
Booyah are about the only spinnerbaits I use

If I could find a spinnerbait that I thought was as good as a War Eagle I'd use it but I really don't think it exists. It might, just haven't found it myself. Of course I really don't see the need to look for one. Get some War Eagles and decide for yourself but I think you'll be pleased.
Booyah baits are a tradeoff imo.. I personnal love their stuff
theyre reasonably priced and are built to catch fish
nothing lasts forever getting hammered by big hungry fish constantly
it doesnt last as long as other brands but they are build to catch for sure
and mostly my war eagle sits on its perch cause I've been throwin mostly booyah for the last couple years

Why in the world would you have any reason to dislike Trokar hooks? They might be expensive but they are far superior to most hooks on the market. Awesome sharp profiles that cut into fish.
I only use war eagle, they are quality spinnerbaits at a good price.
I have had some quality control issues with booyah spinnerbaits. Not a lot but some. Lost about a four pounder due to a broken wire. I did catch a lot of bigger fish on that bait prior to the broken wire. Even though I still use them , they are some fish catching SOBs.
I use the jigs quite a bit. Never had any issue with them. I've never used the spinnerbaits though.
Been there done that. Junk IMO. They gave me the breeze. I don't use their stuff anymore.
I have a new one being sent out to replace that one. I sent a picture and immediately received a response asking for my shipping info.
I only throw Terminators or a couple of old Stanley's that I have left.
I threw the T1 baits for a few years. I guess I need to go back.
Love booyah spinnerbaits. .. They just don't last ling.. Especially if you are catching them left and right. Plenty times I have hooked a fish on them and all I reel in is the blades. The hook and head break off with the fish on it. .

You should have kept the Strike King spinnerbaits you gave me. I used the reel you traded me and the bluegill colored spinnerbait to catch this fish Thursday.
I have had this happen to me on the Booyah spinnerbaits that are sold exclusively through Dick's Sporting Goods.

Try the Terminator quick-skirts or the like. They have very few problems with them. They cost more originally, but they last far longer than a rubber band skirt and they also allow you to switch colors easily.
In regards to OP, I've used all sorts of spinnerbaits, and unfortunately you get some every now and then where the blades go flying regardless of manufacturer. I think you'd be fine with using them again as the next one you buy could be in service for years.

I'll do that. And I'll put them on some old Uncle Buck SBs I have that bare still in great shape. I wish BPS had never stopped selling those.
I just read another way to make the skirts last is to twist some light gauge ware around them. Rubber bands are have a short life.

Sounds like a good plan to throw them on there. You can twist wire too, and if you're set on keeping the color that's fine. The best part about the quick skirts for me is I can use one head and change the colors in a matter of seconds. Depending on where you fish that may or may not be a big deal. For me though I've got around 100 different lakes within an hour of my house so I need to be able to adapt depending on where I am that day.
Bragger, just kidding. I'm glad you're enjoying them. I thought about keeping them all, but i just don't throw bigger spinnerbaits. Some of them felt like half ouncers. That is a pig. I've never tried War Eagle but my buddy gave me some nice spinnerbaits made by the Advantage Bait Company and I love them. Problem with them is the price, they are pretty expensive.
Booyah sent me a box with two new Blades in it. I can't gripe I guess.
I have not had a problem with them. I actually like them considering most of my PBs have been broken by them.
I had a couple el cheapo baits do the same thing in the past, but when that happened after two bass, I wasn't thrilled.
If I am throwing spinnerbaits on the Tidal Potomac I usually use a Terminator (with the titanium wire frames). They hold up to the inevitable Northern Snakehead or Blue Catfish that twist other spinnerbaits into pretzels.
