What are your favorite lures to use for dinks? I have a pond I fish now that's got some big bluegill, but sometimes when they don't play along it's fun to go for some of the bass in there. Problem is, they're only about 6-12" for the most part, with a few fish that have hit around 14-16".
There's plenty of them - so I'm mostly worried about what you think the most FUN lures for these smaller fish are.
Tight lines
Drew
Ned rig. ML/F spinning and you're set.
All the same stuff I use all the time. I catch dinks on everything I use. I even catch dinks at my buddy's pond on the SPRO Rat.
But for numbers, Ned, small stick worm, 4" Zoom Finesse Worm and Rooster Tail will get 'er done. At that same buddy's pond, I'll sometimes tie on a tandem rig of a plain crappie jig in front and a Beetle Spin in back on my ultralight combo and try for bream and bass. It keeps you busy.
Most fun for me would be a fly rod and a top water popper.
Ive been having fun lately with a regular jig head and the tony 2" vibe swimbaits. Mostly perch but the occasional bass and crappy bite them... tons of fun and it's all chuck and wind so you don't get bored watching line.
I had to go look it up. Eurotackle micro finesse b-vibe
These things dropshotted on a size 8 hook, ultralight rod, spinning reel, as light of a line as you feel comfortable with -

In-line spinners, 3 inch stickbait ( “senko” ???? ), mini spinnerbaits, “crappie” crankbaits, 1/4 oz Rat L-trap, 4” grubs, marabou jigs, beetle spins.
Trout worm with split shot on light spinning outfit.
Mini chatterbaits. 2” or 3” Berkley Power Grubs. Strike King BitsyTubes
A Zman jig head with a little Zman TRD on a ML spinning rod and 10 lb test braid is hard to beat. It catches everything. Small bass, large bass, large bluegills, even catfish. Go with a very light jig head. The Zman Elaztech plastics are super durable and stick like glue to the Zman jigs with their wire barbs. Great lure for kids. And adults.
original rapala floating minnow in black silver 07.
Ultralight spinning combo with a small popper. Absolute blast. You'll be able to catch bass and gills
I like the duo cascada bug on 6lb mono on a lite spinning rod.
Rebel Teeny Wee Craw
Road Runner
Some bass fishing is done on small creeks and rivers where small lmb and spots are the norm with a 3 pounder being a monster but are FUN to fish.
Black Creek MS.
Ultralight rod with rooster tails.
floating worm
Mini spinnerbait, grubs, senko, finesse worms 1/8 oz squarebills, and poppers

1/16 oz double-eye jig head with a 1-inch grub with flapping tail. Like a Charlie Bee without the spinning blade.
Zoom super flukes, jerkbaits, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, etc are fun lures to use when the bass bite is on fire in the areas I fish for large numbers of bass.
Small grubs and beetle spins.
Adding in micro sized crankbaits and top waters is always fun and usually highly successful too. A Teeny Torpedo will catch teeny and pond best bass as well
Rooster tails are solid options too.
Any of that on ultralight spinning gear w/ 4lb line will be a ball!
If you haven't fly fished, that is the PERFECT place to get your feet wet with it. Get a cheap combo in like 5/6 weight and some cheap fly poppers. Just practice casting without a lure on first to get the hang of it, lol.
Lelands Trout Magnet Crank. It's a small 1/8 oz crankbait. I can be fished like a jerkbait. Very versatile and lots of species will hit it.
I DO NOT KNOW THIS PERSON...
Mini poppers and Bill Lewis Tiny Traps
2 lures come to mind.....original floating f-3 rapala, charlie brewer slider 3" panfish grub.2-4 lb. test and a lot of fun.

I love my Pop-R mini in silver/black...actually thinking about buying a BFS set up just for that lure.
2” Sassy Shad, or the smallest original floating rapala that you can find. A 3” BPS Sticko on a split shot rig can be killer in the weeds.
Lunkerhunt pocket frog.
My dad has a couple small farm ponds, and in the summer, every bass in there seems to love smashing that thing. Nothing like that topwater hit.
i catch dinks by the dozen with average sized lures .
4 inch Luck E Strike curl tail worm w tiny weight, or Beetle spin
alabama rig, catch two at once

Grab a Pixy off Ebay for ~$150 and a Kuying Teaton off Aliexpress for ~$50 and you are in business. Mine has a DIY spool and HH Air bearings, but the reel travels between a few different light power rods.
Sort of depends on the lake and structure. I really like a senko or weightless plastic like a fluke if fish are shallow. If fish are more related to the bottom it would be hard to beat a drop shot or flick shake (small 1/8 oz or less head with a small wacky rigged worm). I have had more luck on the ned rig for smallmouth than largemouth but that would be another pick. But at the end of the day small fish will eat big fish baits at times and big fish will eat small fish baits at times.
I was having a lot of luck getting dinks and Rock Bass on the Johnson Beetle Spin this weekend.
