The economical way to use these vacuum sealers, which I literally use every day, is to buy 50 foot rolls (usually either 8" or 11" wide) and then cut off the length you need each time. Answer: Yes - I've successfully preserved the soft texture of cookies with vacuum sealing. But you have to be careful. If you use a typical vacuum bag, the cookies will be crushed flat unless you carefully stop in time and leave an incomplete vacuum. The better strategy is to buy a hard-sided vacuum canister that attaches to the accessory port through the included hose. That way, you can suck out all the air without squishing the food inside. J Cook : Built in Scale Helps When Dividing Portions.
The unit is almost completely automatic. We used it without reading the instructions and had no problems. I really like the removable tray that allows you to clean out any liquid that may have entered the tray. The built in scale is very useful for dividing portions. Not sure how to use the included vacuum hose will research and see if accessories are available for this. This unit also includes a built in cutter to cut the bags with, very handy.

I have never used a vacuum sealer before, but I've always wanted to own one. I've had a summer garden for years and I wanted the capability to freeze my vegetables to last longer into the winter months. This sealer by Blusmart is incredibly easy to operate, and I had my first bag of peppers ready in less than a minute.
The box contains pre-cut bags and a roll of bags to cut to the appropriate size using a small, removable cutter attached to the side of the machine. To seal, I simply opened the unit and placed the end on the seal strip, closed it, and hit the "Seal" button. (You won't have to do this with the pre-cut bags.) It's that easy. The seal is perfect. Then I put the peppers in the bag and set the open side into the machine. Once closed, I pressed the "Vac Seal" button. The unit is loud, but you'll see the suctioning of air in a matter of seconds, followed by the second seal. It's done!
As a bonus, Blusmart includes a circular disc to weigh your foods if necessary. I love that the user can choose between grams, kilograms, ounces, and pounds. The possibilities are endless with this machine, and I can't wait to use this on other foods like meats and dry goods.

What I really like about this vacuum sealer is the compact size and light weight. Very easy to use, and to clean. I can just put it anywhere on my counter to use it. The machine runs very smooth, quick, and quiet. I haven’t had any issues with the sealing. The package came with 1 extra roll, 10 pre-cut individual bags, air suction hose for containers. Also come with a small food scale which can be handy when you must measure before sealing, etc. Overall, I think it is a good machine. Help prolong and reducing food waste.

I have used vacuum sealers for decades. And this one, although off-brand, performs excellently. Unlike most sealers this unit gives you a choice of intense or gentle vacuum.

This unit is easily worth the price and has a solid build and very importantly has parts that come out for cleaning.
I did not use the jar vacuum option yet; so I cannot comment on that.
I did not give this unit a five star rating for two reasons: it isn't commercial grade build but it is very robust home grade build. And the second reason is that I was asked to test this unit by the company and thought a five star rating (although deserved) would be a little over the top. Full disclosure: I got the unit free but I would readily pay the asking price.

Re Re Realdeal [real frequent buyer] : Saves the food
I have always wanted a vacuum sealer. I ordered the product and received it in two days. I love this product. My kid's are here sometimes now that they are older. So I tend to waste a lot of food cooking for myself only. Setup was easy and I'm saving food, money and less time going to the grocery store. Oh and there is a scale too!

Also, there are several options to choose if its a dry or moist food; or if you just want to seal or with vaccum seal. There are two suction power (pressure) options too; normal and gentle.
