How heavy are these nets. Some rubber nets are extremely heavy and I don't want one that is difficult to hold out to net a fish.

Answer: Its not super light, but not that bad. I put it on a long handled salmon net that i had been using for muskies. The bag fit well and it's manageable. Small holes though so there is no scooping as it pushes too much water. Gotta just swim them big girls into it.

Answer: No, I'm not sure how they calculated that measurement. It may be 36" when not attached, but hanging from the frame it is closer to 2 ft. It would not even stretch to 36".

Answer: Yes it is. Very good net I replaced the netting and works flawlessly

Answer: Mostly the only part that hooks got caught on was the seam in the net. We landed 16 King Salmon on Lake Ontario with mine and only had a couple of minor issues removing the hooks.

How would this net work for salmon in the 20 pound class??

Answer: Bought this for my husband. His answer "Works great". His normal size is 15 - 25 lb salmon. He used it with a 30 lb Lingcod this year. This is actually his second identical net. His first was lost by a buddy. He had me go back in the purchase history to order the same one. He said it doesn't snag or tangle hooks or fish.

I replaced my old net after it kept tearing. This is the way to go. It’s affordable. I use it for salmon on the rivers mostly. My hooks don’t get caught in it, the fish I have to release don’t get tore up, and it’s strong. I was worried it wouldn’t be deep enough but it works great. I’ve landed 30” kings with it.

Tried to use one to replace my 42' carp net. Fits well the triangular hoop, but these nets are overly heavy. The thick layer of rubber it's coated it with is absolutely unnecessary - could easily use 1/3 of the amount . I heard the Ranger nets (hoop and handle) are pretty heavy in the first place, so the net weight itself probably doesn't matter so much.

Quality is great..i bought the 30x34x36 size.Fits my 30 x34 diameter net great but what happened to the 36 inch deep..it is only 24 inches deep..reason i upgraded was needing a deeper no tangle net..back where i was with no tangles..wheres the 36 inches at is my question..its not in the depth nor the width..
