what is the inside diameter of the hole?

Answer: Inside diameter is 1.5 inches. Great product for nets and I also have two that I use as tool holders. Holds 2 pliers and 1 scissor or any other combination and they don't bounce out when running. I attach them to Lund sports trac brackets

will they fit a pontoon rail 1 or 1 1/2 inch rail ?

Answer: It should but you will need some bolts or screws to mount it with.

What is the diameter of the opening? Looking at using this for a fishing net on a boat. Thanks in advance!

It works, I used double side tape on mine didnt drill holes. Kind of expensive though.

I haven't had a chance to mount it in the boat yet, but it seems well made. It is sturdy and I expect will perform well.

Holds a fishing net with ease and right amount of room. Mounted it to side of console in boat and used self threading screws. This is a must for all fishermen due to your fumbling around looking for it when the big boy is hooked. Wish I had done it years before. Quality built.
