can this be used to dehydrate 3d printer filament. I.e. do the trays come out so I can fit it in there?

Answer: I recently bought one for this exact reason. When you take the trays out, it will hold at least 2 1KG spools of filament.

Answer: The trays are removable. Don’t know how well it will do with 3D printing?

Answer: 3 1kg spools fit across if you stand them up. Works great!

Answer: Food dehydration has been done for thousands of years to preserve meats fish and herbs, it increases their shelf life by weeks or months. There needs to be a high salt content in the foods which can be a problem for people with high blood pressure/ hypertension. Use good techniques and read up more and you will be able to enjoy the process more.

I just got this today and put it right to work. I have 5 lbs of potatoes dehydrating right now.
I wanted a unit that was a good size to dehydrate food for storage. This one is a good large size compared to many others.
The touch screen is responsive and easy to navigate. Very simple.
The fan is large for the size of the unit. It's also quiet. I have heard that some dehydrators are loud. Mine is in the kitchen and you have to go in the kitchen to hear it. You can open the front panel and feel the heat being blown across the food. You do not have to wonder if the fan is blowing.
So, I am very happy with this. Good product, good price, good quality.
