is this the 1.5 or 2 amp model? EFS or HDEFS?

Answer: It's the EFS 1.5 amp model. Only model I've ever owned. Works great on all freshwater fish as well as saltwater species like red snapper and grouper. I've never been tempted to try another type scaler.

Had to get a second one because my Dad saw the first one I brought and liked it so I gave it to him and brought me another one. Used the first one to scale freshwater, and saltwater fish. Works like a charm removes scales on tough varieties of fish like bream, bass, walleye. Works so good my Wife was scaling while I was gutting and I couldn't keep up. Great product worth the purchase.

I have owned one of these since the mid 80's. Works on all size of scales. Cleans up very easy. Turn it on and spray it with a hose. Best use is outside because it does spray scales a little ways.

I bought this for my dad for Christmas and that afternoon we went and caught a mess of Bluegill so he could try it out. It worked great. It made quick work of scaling and going around all the fins was a breeze. If you bare down too hard it even stops spinning so as not to tear up the skin/flesh. He loved it. Highly recommended.

I really love this thing, I really do. Finally it's made indoor scaling a breeze, without worry of scales flying all over my kitchen. My only gripes with it, is you need to "Hang" it up somewhere, it does not stand up on it's own. If you leave it laying on a counter this black "grease" will start drip out. I will contact the company to see how to remedy this, other that, it's Fantastic!
