Do you burn the grill at the same time?

Answer: You can if your are "grilling" at the same time. We primarily use ours to smoke cheese so you don't want heat in the grill.

After I bought my traeger, I wasn’t getting the smoke I use to. I bought this tube and it helps a lot and is fairly easy to light. It still doesn’t compare to the smokiness of an offset smoker using real wood, but does help!

This device is an ingenious way to get extra smoke while grilling or slow and low cooks on a pellet grill. I love the ease of use on overnight cooks on my pellet grill, but was not getting near the amount of smoke I would traditionally get on a stick burner. The smoke tube works exactly as advertised. It is easy to use and provides the perfect flavor. I started adding some charcoal pellets with the wood pellets...and so far the flavor is even better. Can't wait to do a brisket and taste the difference. I really like the hanging function...I don't know how much it effects the flavor because I have hung it from the top rack every time, but it allows me to use the entire bottom rack for meat or veggies.

Very simple and effective to use...smoke lasts for 5 to 6 hrs. First ribs using the smoker were OUTSTANDING, probably the best I have ever Made or tasted. Would definately purchase this product again but I doubt I will have to because it is so well made.

Best thing I’ve bought on Amazon in a while. Hex design doesn’t roll around.

Using a Traeger smoker, while they provide OK smoke, I wanted more. Blue smoke is cool, I wanted pillows of sweet fluffy gray clouds exiting the unit.

Buy a kitchen torch thing for no more than $10 here. Make sure it comes with butane. You can’t lite this smoker tube with a normal lighter, even if you pour a little gas on the pellets. Which in retrospect was a dumb idea anyway.

This product works great once it’s gets good and smoking but hot pellets will fall out needs a cap. There are others available on Amazon that have caps. But does provide a great smoky flavor.

This is the by far the best item I've ever used to add smoke to food on a gas grill. Wood pellets work very good in it. Wood chips may burn too fast. I will try mixing pellets and chips next time to how that works. Highly recommend.
