I have a Food Saver vacuum sealer that I use for bulk meat and garden produce. I received this one 3 days ago and have used it for cheese, ground beef and sausage, it is easy to use and so far the vacuum is still good in the bags. I thought tis would be so handy because it is small and I can keep it in a drawer. I have a large vacuum sealer that works great. This one takes forever after you have throughly sealed the bags. When you "think" you have finally got the air out, it fills up again with air the next day. Sometimes doesn't ever take the air out. I sent it back and will continue to use my large vacuum sealer that works great.

Someone put the old one in a sinkful of sudsy water so the battery got killed so we needed a new one. Rather than go back to the old kind, thought we'd try something else, this one. The bags look exactly other vacuum sealer bags of the same ilk (not the FoodSaver type). Charged the vacuum up which took a very several hours, put the food in a bag and ran the clip thingy several times across the zipper to insure it was tightly closed, and tried to have the handheld gizmo suck out the air. Nothing happened except it made what seemed like appropriate sounds. Since I've used a similar gizmo before, I don't think I was doing anything wrong. So tried a different gizmo I'd bought at the same time and it vacuumed out the air just fine. Again today I tried to seal up what remained of the pretzels so they don't go stale and this vacuum didn't suck any air out although it made the right noise. Got out the second different vacuum and it removed enough of the air that the pretzel started to crack. This thing just doesn't work; luckily, the bags work with that other vacuum sealer.

This is amazing. I wanted something that took the air out of refrigerated foods like avacados and this definitely did the job. These photos are after 24 hrs. I needed a way to preserve a lot of just picked strawberries until I could make jam (didn’t want to freeze them) and I couldn’t have asked for a better product. I’m so impressed I’m ordering a second one for my RV. Please know that like the other reviewers I needed to be patient in the beginning and gently work the little nozzle on to the bag receptor with a slight twist & turn motion for it to adhere and vacuum but once it started it work just as well as my big sealer vacuum with way less hassle. Love this thing!
