To dehydrate more effectively, we recommend the following:
1. When drying more thinly-sliced food items, please use the 0.79-inch height rather than the 1.25-inch stacking.
2. Rotate all trays horizontally after 2-3 hours of drying.
3. Exchange top and bottom trays after 2-3 hours of drying.

Answer: This machine broke as soon as I turned it on. So I didn’t get a chance to find out what it could do. I wouldn’t suggest this one at all.

I used 2 dehydrators this one I bought and one I borrowed. I made ground meat jerky. The one I borrowed was a round one made by nessco it worked way better than the one I had just bought the jerky was done in 6 hours took my new one 10 hours. The new one did hold about 30 more pieces of jerky. Just plan on it taking a considerable amount of time longer

Before I bought the dehydrator, I did not know how easy it iwas to make dry fruit chips. I used to buy them from stores, and it was quite expensive. I also have a dog who loves meat jerky treats, but because of the recalls from a few years ago, so I choose the brand very carefully.
I immediately did the dehydration after I opened the box. I made the seed crackers, and tried to dry them in the oven but usually they just nearly got burn. So I thought I would try finishing them off in a dehydrator.
You can make almost every fruit and meat into jerky, at least you know the real ingredient of it. Slice like 0.5cm if you want them to be crispy. The process takes about 10-15 hours depends, but the result is well worth it. Turned out to be a good plan! The trays can nest tightly, or further apart if you flip them alternately. I thought that was pretty neat. This food dehydrator help my dry out beef pretty good. It easy to use and easy to clean not like other dehydrator that complicated to clean and use.

I had an abundance of Apricots this year and wanted to dry them. I am on Solar and this machine took over 2 days and the quality of the apricots came out poor. Can't really give a fair rating due to solar vs. regular electricity.

I've left it on max settings for about 12 hours now, only filled to half capacity and my beef jerky is only about half way done. Again I have a cheap $30 dehydrator as well, that's loud and flimsy and it could dehydrate all my meat at full capacity in 8 hours, I'm guessing it's going to be 24 hours+ for this one a half capacity, and it was $90 to top it off.
