Can this be washed in a dishwasher?

Answer: Stainless steel...I don't see why you couldn't run it through a dishwasher...

Answer: Yes, but why? It is a smoke tube, you typically do not wash the inside of your grill.

Does one come with a lighter?

Answer: It does not come with a lighter. What I have found to be most efficient is a propane torch. It will have it lit and smoking in under a minute.

Answer: No. These do not come with a lighter.

Answer: Nope. I use a propane torch that you can find anywhere cheap

Answer: Ours did not.

The pellet smoker that I use does a great job of maintaining a consistent temperature but doesn’t feed pellets often enough for the amount of smoke that I prefer. The smoke tube is perfect and foolproof to add the extra smoke that all meat deserves. I fill it, lite it with a propane torch and put it inside. It needs no checking or maintenance and will produce a consistent smoke cloud for around 5 hours. It has made my smoker perfect!

Used over the holiday weekend on a 14 hour brisket and worked well. Refilled the tube with both pellets and hickory chips and felt like it really helped with smoke. Only minor complaint is it would be nice if a metal cap was included so it could be completely filled. Laying horizontally limits the amount that can be filled without falling out.

Gives you some extra smoke in your pellet smoker. I have nothing bad to say, as a product it is well made and does the job it was made for. Adds some extra smoke for your pellet smoker. This is a good product, my personal opinion is, however, is that pellet smokers are a novelty item at best. As someone who has a BBQ catering business, I use wood smokers all the time, got a Treager for home/family use, but it's not the same, not even close, the smoke flavor is very weak.
Sorry to rant, this is a good product, it's pellet smokers in general I dislike. I might buy another one of these to see if it helps in infusing a better smoke flavor.

Using a small torch dose work allot better then a lighter. Just light the one end. It will catch on to the rest. As I read up on smoking things the first 3 hours are the most important in smoking. This tube for sure smoke for a least 6 hours with allot of smoke. But the brush is almost like using a bottle brush. Its not very stiff it should be allot harder. Make sure that you put the tube away from food. No need to refill this thing at all. Used this only once for cold smoke for cheese. Found out to much pellets will get to warm for cheeses. Will causes cheeses to melt. But never got the smoke I wanted. Hope to cook some fish here soon. But remember this will smoke good for 6 hours as I timed it.

Couch : Genius! Why didn't I buy one sooner?

Adds a ton of great smoke flavor without (much) heat. Super easy to use. Fill with pellets, light, wait a few minutes, then blow it out and lay it down. Smolders for 4-5 hours. I made smoked white cheddar in the video...you can see how much smoke the cheese absorbed by the color. (Note I didn't actually turn the pellet grill on, just placed the cheese inside with the smoke tube). Great for cold smoking cheese, fish, bacon. I will also use it to add smoke when making brisket or ribs just because I like smoky flavor and my grill doesn't have an extra smoke setting. Would highly recommend. Also included a cleaning brush, silicone basting brush, and metal S hook for hanging the tube instead of laying it down.

After a few recommendations I decided to buy one of these pellet smoke tubes for my smoker and it added so much extra smoke. Filling the tube full of pellets it burned for 5 plus hours. Totally impressed!!!

Does just what I wanted it to do with my pellet grill. Used it while making smoked beef jerky (which I smoke about 180 degrees) and it added just the right amount of smoke flavor. Easy to light with a simple propane torch and a full pellet load kept smoking over five hours.
