2. Do not use the appliance on wet or hot surfaces, or close to a heat source.
3. Ensure the bag is dry. It will be difficult to make a tight seal if the bag is wet.

Answer: The large bags don't work so well. I use the medium and small bags the seem to work better. I have notbhad my machine take a break yet. It was a strong machine great buy. Sealing take up to 20 seconds

Answer: It is fairly noisy but it only takes like 30 seconds.

I always buy meat and end up having to throw it away because I don’t eat much and it’s a waste so now I buy meat break it into small portions and freeze it. I haven’t had it to long but have already used it a lot. I’m looking forward to not having freezer burn on my meat since before I would just put it in those vegetable bags from the grocery store this is much better.

I really really love how small this little vacuum sealer is! I have an old one that is as big as a microwave, and I’m so glad to not only replace it, but to gain back that extra counter space I was wasting, because this little guy fits in any drawer I choose! I can also attest that as soon as I heard this machine run, I knew it was much stronger than my old one because the suction is audibly stronger and i was right because it finished in about half the time it normally takes. I normally expect 30-60 seconds, but this one was vacuumed and sealed in less than 20 seconds. I also love the fact that the cutter is built in. Nothing to keep up with, nothing to lose! They also include an extra foam gasket for free, so I’m confident this unit will operate efficiently for quite a while. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. I compared this model with a couple others before I made a decision, but I went with this brand because I have purchased a few other KOIOS (a blender, food scale, and an air purifier) products in the last few years and they are all still operating today, so I will trust them yet again as long as they keep making these durable products. If you’re looking for a cheap sealer that isn’t cheap quality, I feel you’re looking at the right one!

This food sealer has become an instant kitchen staple. Being able to preserve food is a crucial step in reducing kitchen waste and I felt hesitant about getting an appliance for it but the Koios 85Kpa really proved its worth.
To seal your food up, just stuff the food in question into one of the vacuum seal bags and then place it inside of the sealer. The top opens to receive a bag when side buttons on the unit's body are pressed simultaneously (it's compatible with generic bags so you can save plenty on the accessories). Then you simply press a button to start sealing the bag. When it seals, the unit first vacuums all of the air in the bag and then heat-seals the bag shut.
Food is easily staying fresh for longer due to these bags. There are also some interesting recipes that involve vacuum sealed food that I can try out now.
This food sealer is well priced for how powerful it is. The costs of ownership are also very low when you consider that it is compatible with generic vacuum food sealer bags (you can even but ROLLS of them like I did for about $20). Finally, the sealer has a special attachment to vacuous seal food containers so you can start using reusable air-tight containers to store your food.

We've owned a larger well known brand vacuum sealer for years, and wanted one for a vacation home. I was really surprised by the performance. This compact sealer does as well as the larger more expensive one at a lot less cost (and takes up a lot less space, which is always a plus in the kitchen!). Tried it out on both just the seal option as well as vacuum and seal and both worked perfectly. Noise level is about the same as the other one we own, but just runs for a few seconds so noise is not really an issue. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a less expensive compact sealer.

You can spend more for a vacuum sealer, but you don't need to. This is really nice. Seals faster, easier to store and to clean. Great for storing freezer meals and meats. Makes it very easy to package up large meals or single servings.
