Can't really tell how it works, the first one the cover wouldn't latch, so we returned it for replacement, the replacement sealer wouldn't activate the vacuum when the cover was latched, so it was returned also. After two failures we decided to try another brand

Doesn't go into seal mode all the time. Possibly due to learning curve?? Drain tray does not come out for cleaning. The bag compartment could be a little bigger to hold the economy size of the bags. Other than that I think it is a good product.
