Answer: Durable yes. Of course it has to be installed properly into a net frame. It's virtually the same net as is marketed as ghost net by a major manufacturer. Installed in a nice laminated woodframe, it looks and performs wonderfully, plus it's gentle on the fish allowing for a clean and damage free release.

This net should not be used as a replacement if intended for small stream trout. Fish less than 10 inches (approximately) can easily escape the larger openings in the bottom of the basket, causing tangled leaders and increased difficulty in landing fish using catch and release methods.
