Is this an adjustable elastic belt??

Answer: The belt is adjustable but not elastic.

how small can it be adjusted

Answer: Down to about 28" waist.

Should I pass this up? My waist is 25” I’m a petite girl

Answer: I believe it is 42" total. Your waist is 25". You should have no problem. When you cut it, cauterize the end with a flame of some sort. It won't fray or unravel. However, try it on with whatever you're wearing first and leave an inch or two more. I'm not sure about this one, but mine had an adjuster like a rifle strap. Didn't need to cut it.

What single rod holder can I purchase and where that will work with this belt?

I need it pretty snug to keep water out. My waist is probably 31. Can i make it so its pretty tight around my waist?

Answer: Yes, it's adjustable by measuring the largest you need and leave a few inches before cutting it. Then cauterize it with a flame to keep it trimmed.

Does it fit 45 waist

Answer: Not sure I am 38 and it fits

Okay, so it’s the single most important safety device every person should use whenever wading but what does it do?

Answer: If you fall into a deep fast moving river your waders will fill up with water and drag you down

Why is this considered safety equipment?

Answer: Apparently, the belt prevents your waders from quickly filling up with water if you slip or are caught by a wave in the surf.

Answer: Because if you are surf fishing and you get hit by a rouge wave your waders won't fill up with water.

Answer: If you slip and fall in the water is restricted to the upper part and you won't drown-hopefully

What is the difference between this and the belt that comes with your wader? I ask due to hearing about wearing a pfd and wading belt when fishing.

Answer: There is no difference; however, some waders do not come with a wading belt. Something you should know about this product is that the belt is not elastic and does not fit tight like a wading belt should.

Answer: It’s just a replacement for the original I had. Works as good as any other wader belt.

Bought two; one for son who immediately used it for fly fishing in the Green River, Utah. It worked beautifully. Son is a big guy and the fit adjusts just perfectly. His friend was a wiry dude, a bit on the thin side and again, it adjusted perfectly' This is a must have for those who fish, use waders, use a pontoon (hubby's float of choice). It keeps water from building up if a person falls in the water or tips over. Will be ordering more for gifts! GREAT PRODUCT; AFFORDABLE! Highly recommend this product.

EXCELLENT BELT FOR THE MONEY

Matthew Leo : This is not a rocket engine.

Because it's not rocket science: this is just a plain old bylon webbing belt with a quick release buckle for cinching in your waders so you won't drown if you fall into the water. It has a quick release buckle in case you have to bail out of your waders in a hurry. The belt also handy for hanging stuff on. I keep an ammo pouch for tackle, an icepick for killing fish I'm not releasing, a pair of forceps for removing hooks, and a pair of stainless kitchen sheers for cutting line and such on the belt. In fact it's so useful for keeping all those geegaws handy that I wear it even when I've left the waders at home.

But it's just a webbing belt. You could probably save a buck or so by going to the climbing counter of your local outdoor outfitter and buying the requisite webbing ans fastex. Or you could just buy this and be happy.
