How do you seal only? There is not a button for that.

Answer: Yes, it’s direction #8 in the instruction booklet: For non-vacuum packaging double click the “seal/Vac only” button and press the upper cover with both hands until the LED light changes to red which is the best non-vacuum packaging affect. I was so confused too & all I needed was a “seal only” not a vac only!!

Answer: So confusing isn't it??

Does this product have a good enough seal to dry aging?

Answer: yes seal is good, just make sure not to fill stuff till the top and keep the top of plastic dry, you should be fine.

Can you use Food Saver bags and rolls?

Answer: Yes.

I took it out the box, plugged it up and it won’t come on. Anybody else have this issue?

Answer: yes unplug it and plug it back in mine had all red buttons but worked fine

Answer: The easiest way is to buy a roll of the bag material so you can cut off what you need each time.

Mine wont suck the air out, what am i doing wrong?

Answer: The edge of the bag has to be in the sip and then you press seal. We couldn’t get it to work at first either.

Can you use bags wider than 8 inches?

Answer: Yes ! Have used 6,8, and 11 inch.

The first time this thing sucks up ANY liquid, it will short itself out and fail. This will likely be the first time you seal meat with juice in it. Why anyone thinks you can make a device like this with exposed electronics is beyond me. It also won't vacuum all of the air out even when it is working properly. Very weak pump. It is fairly tedious to get the back aligned just right for it to create any suction at all.

TL;DR: Buy something else.

I ordered this vacuum sealer to preserve dried goods. I was surprised at the low price and wasn't sure if it would actually work but I was pleasently surprised! The suction is very strong and it seals nicely. It was a little confusing to get going at first but once I got the hang of it it works like a charm! I also love that they even included vacuum bags with the order. I am a little hesitant for the future but am hopeful it will hold up despite the price. I would recommend this product so far.

Vacuum sealers are really expensive, so I was happy to see a more budget friendly one. This sealer isn't the best, but it definitely does the job!

*Low suction. Doesn't really "vaccum" the air out and sometimes there are still gaps and air pockets inside

Tips:
*Make sure the tip of the bag goes inside the long hole in the center. That part is the one that sucks the air out.
*Vacuum Seal/Cancel is the button to "seal" the food.

I was very excited about this product given the reviews and price point, but unfortunately it broke the first time we used it. We were able to vacuum seal <5 bags of mushrooms before the product stopped working entirely, and the power function ceased to operate. We suspect it may be due to the moisture in the mushrooms getting somewhere it shouldn't, but the product claims to be compatible with wet sealing. Disappointed.

This is very nice looking. The machine works okay. It is very hard to figure out and seems that some of the buttons are just for show. It was very hard to seal without sucking. When I did get it to work it vacuumed sealed pretty good. The gift card for a review is nice but again, I have been having problems getting that also.
