They cling and don't move around and no little pieces fall thru. This is very quiet. Nic S. : Too much money, not enough options.
I like this dehydrator but it’s not my favorite. I think for the price it should have a lot more options and should be a little more user friendly. It beeps really loud, multiple times when it is finished. You can’t turn off the beeping, there should be a feature to be able to turn it off. The temperature control only lets you do certain temperatures. You can’t choose your own temp, it’s one that is preprogrammed like 113 degrees. Such an odd temperature, I have yet to find a recipe that says 113 degrees. The other thing I don’t like is that the trays are a little too long and they hit the fan cover and push it inward in order to close the door. The trays are also not exactly square and can only go in on a certain side. The dehydrator is square, the trays should be square as well so you don’t have to turn three trays when you are trying to load them and they have food on them. This dehydrator does a nice job dehydrating food and liquids but the above features make this so I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

This machine is so badass I can’t even believe it! We made our first and second batch of Beef jerky. Let me give you the back story, we drive back from the mountains and always stop at the jerky stand and have been buying jerky for years.
We are like why we don’t make our own jerky, so we did the research and found this machine. I know it does so much more than make jerky, but this is the main reason we bought it. We are doing research on other stuff like fruits, roll-ups, etc. The machine is easy almost like a microwave to use. Has the timer, is very compact for how many racks it holds. It says it’s not commercial but makes sooooo much!
Our first and second rounds of making jerky came out amazing and the machine works great takes about 10 hours to do the jerky perfectly. And the digital readout is great and allows you to have multiple heat settings when dehydrating, that is key. It was super easy to clean every-time just wipe it with a wet cloth or dish washer and you are good to go.
A little advice on jerky is the meat, cutting it and the marinade. The best type of meat (Round roast is mine ) but is at your discretion, the slicing is the big thing too keep it thin as you can. And marinade it for hours 12 hours.
Updating with a video once we try our third batch but pineapple juice is key in the jerkey marinade! Our kids eat it up. Looking forward to buying more fruits and vegetables in the discount section to dehydrate. Easy peezy and easy to use is my style!

Have only used twice so far, did an excellent job. So far, appears durable and I expect it to last. I looked for certain features--this one had them (wattage, rear fan, side opening door). Concerned I cannot find any "warranty" information. Hopefully it'll last and that won't be an issue.
