Steve W. : Functionally Identical to the Name Brand Bags at Half the Price
The first thing I did with these bags was to lay one of them side-by-side with a name brand bag to get a good comparison. The next thing I did was to put them to use in the freezer, sous vide, near boiling water and microwave. After putting these bags through their paces, this is what I think of them:
• Heavy duty – these bags are the same thickness as the name brand bags.
• Air channel design – No problem getting a good vacuum to all parts of the bag.
• Freezer – My freezer fluctuates between -3°F to 8°F. I vacuumed sealed some chicken halves and left them in the freezer for several days; as of now, the seals haven’t failed.
• Boiling – I vacuum sealed a few ears of corn with pats of butter and put them in 200°F water for about 12 minutes or so. The seal held and the corn was awesome!
• Microwave – I cut the bag down to fit in my microwave and sealed some yellow squash, zucchini, onions, and butter in the bag. I cut some small slices in the seal corners to allow the steam to escape and cooked them for 5 minutes on high power (1250W). The bags survived and the squash was amazing!
• Puncture resistant – Using my sous vide circulator, I poached some fresh prawns at 158°F for 10 minutes, and I also cooked some pork blade steaks at 150°F for 12 hours, and none of the sharp tails or bones punctured either of the bags.
• Convenient – Rolls are great for unusual sizes like salmon fillets or racks of ribs, but for normal everyday use, pre-cut bags are the way to go.
• Perfect size for roasts, large steaks or smaller items that will be resealed as they are used. Also, the length is perfect for use in a for sous vide cooking.
• Excellent value – less than half the price of the identical name brand bags.
Overall, I am pleased with these bags. They work well in the freezer as well as multiple cooking methods, they are functionally identical to the name brand bags, but are less than half the price. For these reasons, I recommend this product.

I tested the bags in processing some venison. Since the bags are so large, I used them to store the scraps that I will later bring to the butcher for processing into sausage. The bags are made from safe plastic and I have found no better way to keep meat fresh. Good Product!

Five0retired : Durable , strong and useable in any clamp external vacuum system.
These are strong, durable, and large. I used these bags with my White Dolphin Vacuum Sealer machine. The bags have the rough side(bottom) and Clear side (top). I used the bags to vacuum seal 6 pre-frozen (as recommended) pork chops, for storage in my freezer. The Bags are large enough(11"x16") to hold 2 chops and when vacuum sealed, tough enough to not tear against the hard bone of the pork chops. The 100 bags came in 2, 50 bag pouches for easy storage. That's a lot of Gallon bags for the money.
