Answer: It is for one unit but it has 2 pieces that just clip together easily. Love mine and use it all the time.

Can this be used for store bought salad in bag?

Answer: Initially I wasn’t too happy with the results but my husband discovered I had not used fresh batteries. Once he replaced the batteries it has worked like a charm....on soft plastic bags for store bought salad and harder cellophane for snacks.

Answer: I have used it for popcorn I bought at the store, which is thick. Also in many other items.

This sealer is small, easy to handle and not cumbersome. Heats instantly and seals with a fine line so I can seal even if I don't have much room.

UPDATE: This has seemed to peter out pretty quickly. Takes forever to heat up and doesn't seal anymore.

This product worked okay but it has a magnet that barely works and so one day it fell off my fridge and fell and shattered. So, if you buy this definitely do not use the magnet and honestly it's probably worth spending a little bit more for a nicer one.

I purchased this because we are on the road a lot, and once the kids open a snack it either gets spilled everywhere or goes stale. This is a perfect solution and saves us from going through Ziploc bags. We just reseal our snacks and they are kept fresh and in their package the whole car trip, or sports tournament. It even works to reseal pop-tart packets if you only eat one out of the package. It did take a little practice to get used to using it, but once we got the hang of it, we love it.

Once you get use to sliding the cover back to heat up it’s pretty straight forward and easy to use! Comes in handy for packaged spinach, salads, etc as well as chips.

At first I was Skeptic of using this product but it really does work it’s seals any bags you want to seal except Ziploc baggies but like big potato chip bags cookie bags it keeps the people from stealing your stuff and it proves whoever followed you that they did it because they have to re-open the bag to get to it

It does not get hot, the battery gets hot but it doesn't seal the items or even a bag of chips. I would like to send it back and buy a better one.

This bag sealer really works. It is small, light way and easy to handle. It uses 2xAA batteries (not included) and it has a security feature in which you need to slide the middle part to allow the heated part to get hot and in contact with the bag. If you use this sliding it quickly, it will re-seal the plastic bag and if you slide it slowly it will cut and seal the plastic bag. It also has a little hidden knife. Additionally it has a magnet in the back part which allows to keep it on the refrigerator door. I like it!

I bought thinking it would be a easy tool that would get the job done. NO I was wrong. For me, I didn’t like it. I have small hands and it seems to small to hold. It didn’t really come with instructions. And so I had no idea how to operate it. Also you have to take a plastic piece off to even use it. So it shows the batteries. Also it makes holes in the bag. Like when you are sealing it it seems to burning through the bag. I think it needs some work. I would to return it.
