I got a replacement set and they did the same thing. The pump is fine but in my opinion the bags are not a good buy at all because they do nor seal after the first use.

Answer: It would depend on if u are freezing or refrigerating I would assume. I am freezing items, putting in cooler with ice and bringing it camping. I’m also using the food within a week and haven’t had an issue. Hope that helps.

Answer: No, just the bags. While effective to create a vaccine for the bags, the size/volume of a container would be more than the unit could handle.

Answer: I don't think so. The description says the bags are good up to 190 F. Microwave temps would be way beyond that.
Answer: I prefer no microwave. Because most of the time you warm any food inside plastic containers. The plastic will melt into your food and your containers will be ruining. If you want save food and stay healthy, I prefer you to remove items from containers, put inside bowl or plate to warm it up in microwave when you at work. The best is re-cook in the pot when you at home. Hope it is help. Stay happy and healthy.

Answer: Soap is a disinfectant, so soap and water, rinse well. I put mine over a clean empty glass jar (keeps it open to air) to dry.

Answer: It depends on what you are putting in them. I haven't used them for meat products. I'd be comfortable washing them with Dawn and hot water and drying the inside with a paper towel. If I was putting meat in them I'd probably turn them inside out.

Answer: I have reused the bags as many as 3-4 times. It really depends on what you are putting into the bags. The vacuum makes sharp edges dig into the plastic bags so smoother food products will make the bags last longer.

Answer: As far as I can tell, this is a pretty universal sealer, so you should be able to get larger bags that would fit. However, I would recommend a dedicated vacuum sealer with a roll of bags like the one from Nesco. I have both. I use this little one for sandwiches and avocados (the best thing for avocados), and the big one for freezing and resealing other plastic bags, like chip or pasta bags.

Good presentation box with all the necessary items. The bags are very sturdy and the valve and seal closure keep on holding the vacuum after many uses. The vacuum pump is very high quality and gets recharged by a USB cable in a very short time. I stored fruit, cheese, vegetables, sliced meat and many more items for a longer time than usual and all kept perfectly fresh. I am going to get more bags.

I am loving this thing. I order pizza about once a week and share it with my roommates. Unfortunately for Pizza it doesn't store for crap in the fridge and is usually not all that delicious after 2 days. I have been sealing the left overs using this device and the pizza still tastes great and fresh after a full week in the fridge!!! Same has been true for many other products such as potato wedges, Cheese bread, salads, etc. The only downside is cleaning the bags. I love that they are cleanable but cleaning corners is a real nightmare. I wish someone would design a bag with a rounded bottom to make it easier to clean. Either way I am loving this product!

I used manual pump before. It broke after a moth of use. It also required some efforts. This one is so easy to use. Just push the button and the suction is done in seconds. I keep it on my countertop plugged all the time. I seal almost all my leftovers or fresh pre-cuts. I also like to use reusable bags and thus this pump is just great. Highly recommend.

The picture says it all. I bought this because as careful as I was about tightly covering avocado, I would still have brown spots the next day. Oxygen, although all living creature need it, is your enemy. This nice little machine will keep that from happening. Will the avocado last forever? No, because naturally occurring bacteria will break it down, but at least they won't be aided by oxygen.

I don't recommend using other bags as I've tried others and they don't hold the seal and slowly let in air. Had to replace the old one so bought two different new ones. One of them just didn't suck out the air at all so it's junk. This VMSTR one works very well. It charged up within an hour or so. The one problem I had since it doesn't say anything about this in my manual was I could not get the push top to push. Finally decided to pull the rubber semi-ring and out it came and the thing start working when pushed--I don't generally just rip away rubber gaskets since usually they are needed. i couldn't get the other vacuum I bought at the same time to take out the air so it's junk. Luckily, this one uses the exact same bags as our previous vacuum sealer and the dysfunctional vacuum sealer, and it works wonderfully. Seals up left over sauce (put it in a real Ziplock so the liquid would stay away from the bag "nipple") and just now sealed up some leftover pretzels we didn't want going stale and the vacuum worked so well the pretzels started to make breakage sounds so we figured that's enough suction. We don't sous vide but I think this would work quite well for that too. They sell so many things in supersize only these days--and our family unit is swindling with everyone going off following their own pursuits so we can't use a whole jar of sauce or a huge bag of snacks so this vacuum sealing comes in handy.

I’m trying to freeze more meals that I can just pop into an instant pot when I’m lazy. This sealer helps make that happen and prevents freezer burn. You can’t put anything that has too much liquid (it says so) but it’s okay. I’m also using it to preserve my coffee. It has great suction and works really well in keeping things air tight.
