Answer: That's what the clips are for. Sous Vide cooking is cooking food placed in a plastic bag suspended in water. The clips hold the bags in place on the edge of the container.
Answer: There are to clip the sides of the bag to some container so water doesn’t get inside the bag when you warming something. I haven’t used that ‘feature’ yet.

Answer: It helps to use the little white clips to help slide the seals closed. And if that fails, return them. It's always possible you got a bad batch of bags.

Answer: No. They do not have pleats at the bottom. But neither do FoodSaver bags, of course. (Good idea though..!!) If you don't need the vacuum capability and only looking to use with sous vide cooking, you can use regular, large Ziplock bags which do have pleats. Don't seal the zip all the way until submerging into the water which will force most all the air out, then zip the top closed. Works fine for Sous Vide cooking.

Answer: Sometimes when I need to charge the vacuum it doesn't have enough suction, or I initially leave to much air in before I start. Make sure your bag is sealed use the little white sealer not just your fingers.

Due to limited space, I decided on these bags instead of getting a vacuum food sealer and I’m so glad I did! The bags are durable, seal nicely, and the rechargeable vacuum sealer that comes with it does it’s job. I like it that these bags are reusable. I have only used 3 bags so far to seal and store leftover turkey. I will update on how these bags hold up in the freezer and the freshness of the food once thawed.

I love this product! I have been wanting to purchase a food saver machine but have been putting off spending that much money. This product sucks the air right out of the bags. I added some freezer tape over the seal just in case to keep it sealed. The only disadvantage is if the food you are sealing has some liquid in it will come out through the seal during sealing. I wish they made a size smaller in the bags.

It worked fine for the time I used it. The suction was ok even tho it does take a while. I used it a total of four times when I purchase meats in quantity to freeze. The next time I tried to use it, it did not work after a full charge. I wonder if this is common should last longer than six month and with little use.

For freezer storage, removing the air reduces frost formation and freezer burn. Frozen meats taste much better, more like fresh. The same applies to frozen vegetables. Just need to be mindful of veggies that could be crushed by the vacuum.
Vacuum storage of cheese reduces mold growth when done in conjunction with safe handling practices. The large blocks of cheese from Costco now stay good until the last bite.

I had high expectation for the product. I made sous vide quite often and like the idea of inexpensive vacuum bags. However, I found the vacuum pump hard to use. I had to move around the pump until it hit the exact sweet spot for the vacuuming to start. Sometimes it takes me several minutes to my great frustration. I am much better off just using the water method for zip lock bags. Washing the sous vide bags after each use is also a pain in the a**. I cleaned them by hand and then put them in dishwasher, and I still can't get rid of the remnants at the corner of the bags. Not worth the money and effort! Stick with the old fashioned zip lock bags or invest in a real food vacuum sealer.

I bought this product December 2020 and used it probably less than 20 times. The food didn’t stay fresh when frozen for longer than 3 months. Also, the part where the charger is inserted broke off so I can’t charge the device and now I just have the bag. The quality is low but I’m assuming it comes with paying a low price. It was ok while it lasted. It wasn’t always easy to suction the air out of the bags.

I ordered these bags two weeks ago and already the electric vacuum pump has completely stopped working. In the time I've had these bags I've used them 4 times for sous vide cooking. The first 3 times the bags worked great, the pump sucked out all the air and everything I cooked came out great. A little tricky to get the pump to begin vacuum sealing, but after adjusting its position a few times it would always end up working.
But yesterday the electric pump decided to die rendering the bags no more useful than normal ziplock bags that I paid more for. Tried charging it all night and it's still useless and doesn't function anymore. Not sure what could have caused it to give out so quick, I have only been cooking with dry rubs/seasoning. I'd recommend if your going to get a bag set like this rather than an actual vacuum sealer to stick with a product that uses a hand pump over an electric one. As soon as the pump dies your just left with a bunch of ziplock bags.

Picked these up as I start the adventure of cooking sous vide. Liked the idea of re-using the bags instead of creating more waste. However, I don't find these easy to clean at all. I find myself jusy treating it as trash to be far easier. Maybe I am just impatient. Otherwise, works great.

I have ordered 2 sets of these. The first came with no directions and the loose parts were just tossed in the box. It wasnt rocket science to figure it out. The second one came this week. It was nicely packaged with the bags in a protective plastic bag and the parts were neatly corralled in a nice little bag, along with the instructions this time. I think the first one must have either been a return/damaged unit, as the charger didnt quite fit right and the suction cup was loose fitting. It still did a great job of vacuum sealing all the bags except one. The second unit charges fine and the suction cup fits snuggly. All in all, I will order this again. For me, it is fine to get the full set each time. I like the convenience of having one in the kitchen and one in the rv

I wanted this vacuum sealer to seal and keep dehydrated foods (nothing sharp) for longer storage. I had a hard time getting the bag to seal at first, but then finally got it to work. Great...but then hours later, the bag was unsealed. I have not tried any others to date, but will try something else to see how that works. I like the fact the sealer can be charged by a usb cord and not batteries. It’s easy to use and small enough to store anywhere. If I find it works better with some other foods, I will update my review.

I don’t know how long it will last but so far, it’s the best thing I’ve bought in a good while. The bags alone are worth the cost, but the little unit charges fast, and you won’t believe the suction! It gets all the air out. Only had it a few days so I’ll see how long they stay sealed and check back in. Buy!

This thing is amazing! Reusable bags are a Hugh Plus! Works better than I expected. I am no longer loosing food! Put cut avacados in a bag and 3 days later they were just as fresh as the day i cut them! They didn't get riper or mushy, the color was still perfect and they tasted amazing! If you are an avacado eater you know how quickly those go bad! Everything I've sealed from fruits to cheeses to meats in the freezer are maintaining their freshness way longer than just bagging them. And unlike sealing machines you can open these and take out part of what you've saved and seal it right back up! Hiw cool is that!! In case you didn't already know, I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!

Works ok, but does let air in after about a week for non-flat items. For example, my avocado lasted so much longer in the fridge with this but after about 6 days, there was air in the bag. Didn't matter too horribly since you should use your avocado w/in that amount of time, but does make a little worried for freezer items.

I wish I had just bought the Anova sealer. These bags are very difficult to open. The valves leak. If you try to vacuum seal anything with juice, the juice ends up in the vacuum. Raw meat juice? Gross.
If you use any oil in the bag, just throw it away when you’re done. It’s not coming clean. Same with paprika or other red spices.
I will continue to use these until they are gone, but I don’t recommend them at all.

REA : Not as advertised pump failure
Have owned it for several months. The little pump does not create that good of a vacuum. Mine certainly does not suck out the the way it shows in the video. So if I had to buy it again ? No ! Not good enough. The bags are pretty good
Here is a follow up. The pump has failed. The Connection on the pump that allows it to be charged has broken off. No way to replace the pump, since it can not be sold separately. Buyer beware.

So I searched everywhere for a resealable vacuum bag with a large enough opening to fit an 8”x 2.75” round spool of filament. I finally found these!
The actual opening of the largest bag is 10-9/16”. My spool is actually still in its original vacuum sealed bag it came in. I was able to fit it into the large bag!
The pump that came with it didn’t seem to produce enough suction power. Fortunately I have a FoodSaver MealSaver vacuum. It is compatible with these bags. Another plus!
I might have tried harder to use the vacuum sealer that came with it had I not already have the one I used.
And for those who say that the large bag is like a gallon zip up bag - it’s a bit larger.
In my picture I overlaid a gallon bag on top of the large bag - offsetting the gallon bag to the actual area that this large souse vide bag would hold content.

This was a massive let down. First the directions were a little hard to navigate and badly translated, but the product is pretty easy to figure out. Bought this to sous vide with. First sous vide attempt of my life was ruined by this product when one of the quart bags took on water making the steak less It was fully sealed and when I tilted the bag after pulling it out of the water there was a drip coming from the sealed corner! I double and triple checked it and used the clip to get a better seal. Still leaking. Worthless. Don't waste your money.

This set of sous vide bags and supplies is one of the best bundles I have purchased since I started to cook with my new device. The items are packaged within an unmarked brown which can also serve as a statute container for the bags, clips, and pumps. This is the first set of bags I have purchased that provide additional blue circle suction stickers for the bags. The pump is a small handheld size that charges using standard micro usb cord. I use these bags to not only prep and use in my sous vide pot but also to preserve food for a few days after items are cooked.

I gave a 5 star to bags,they are great. Buut,the vacumn pump is a little weak. Also you have to play around with(too much IMO),to get it to suck,(that sucks),once you find the sweet spot, it does a good job sealing. I don't really see much advantage of the portability over the regular seal a meal. But the bags are great. ! MATT

I have used several types of vacuum sealer food bags over the years. The first one (a very l-o-n-g time ago) worked great but it was eventually discontinued along with the bags. Then I tried a counter top version which also worked well but there was an excessive amount of plastic waste. Then I tried a manual version that I liked and was available at the grocery store for several years but the bags - which could be reused - were discontinued and the plastic sealing device eventually pooped out and couldn't be replaced. So far,
this one looks like a winner. The bags are substantial and can be reused and the sealing device is easy
to use and does a good job. I think I'll be happy with it - the owner's manual is full of typos but not a problem because it's easy to figure out and there's a video online.

I purchased these bags/vacuum for a Sous Vide unit I had recently purchased. I didn't use until 3 months after receiving. The bags seem of high quality; however, I could not get the vacuum pump to work. It arrived in 3 pieces so assumed I had to assemble. There was no way that the silicone part would fit on the unit. At closer look, it appears that the area with the red arrow is broken. I searched YouTube and Googled instructions and all videos showed it as one complete unit. Since I'm past the return period, I'm stuck with the bags but cannot use the vacuum. I purchased another vacuum unit locally but it does not work on the bags.
If you purchase this unit, be aware if it arrives in 3 separate pieces (a plastic adapter was also included but there is no picture to share - it fits inside the silicone part.
I only gave 2 stars because the bags are nice but the vacuum is unusable.

Took a few minutes to figure it out but this item works perfectly. The key is to make sure the bag is tightly closed. The suction is perfect and I can say with certainty after almost a week a head of lettuce is as fresh today as the day I purchased. This will return the cost in a month and will save me a ton of money over the year. When the unit dies I'll buy it again and highly recommend to anyone. By the way the bags work great and keep their seal.

I would have given it a 5 stars but, it is hard to find the right spot when you put the vacuum over the valve it takes a few tries and hovering over it till starts sucking up all the air. I mostly use it for chesses and it has saved me pounds of them, I use it on imitation crab meat it kept it fresh, HAM! I buy it fresh slice and with in a couple of days starts to spoil NOT any more this vacuum really keeps them fresh longer and I use it to freeze thigs too.

Ordered the KOSBON 47 PCS Electric Vacuum Sealer & Reusable Vacuum Food Storage Bags, and I’m glad I did. I have the Ziploc brand vacuum hand sealer. It’s only for freezing food. But, so often when I get food out of my freezer, the bag has failed and lost it’s seal. So, I decided to try this KOSBON system. Boy am I happy I did. This is so, so much better! It came with a lot of extras. Just love the little gadget to make sure your bag is ready to seal (5 of them) and the bags are great too. I had a problem with the vacuum sealer not being able to seal more than 5 bags at a time, it had a little defect. I contacted the seller and they immediately responded back. They were awesome and apologetic about my sealer. They really care about their customers and sent me a newer and better pump! Now, who does that? They did. It is a newer model that they will eventually make available. It worked right out of the box without needing a charge. This is a complete system and they thought of everything. You certainly could pay much more for all the things included with this unit. Another plus is they are reusable and the quality of their bags is very good, much better than what I had. I’ve saved so much space in my fridge using these bags on vegetables, deli cheese and meats and left overs. I’ve used some in my pantry to keep almonds fresh, rice, brown sugar, and other items. I’m just sorry I didn’t buy this sooner. I know when I have to order more bags I will get the KOSBON bags, and that may be pretty soon. This company has excellent customer service and responds quickly. They value their customers and that is wonderful. Thank you KOSBON, you’ve earned my respect and a new customer in the future.

The device failed to remove any air besides. Would ask for a replacement, but, it didn't work before the piece broke off, so what's the point?

I was hesitant to order these, almost went for a traditional vacuum sealer. This setup has been amazing. My food prep is more efficient, food lasts longer than ziploc or Tupperware, and the bags are washable and reusable. You can't beat this system for the price. Wish I had this years ago.

Deborah Dixon : A greener option to disposable sous vide bags.
I'm new to Sous Vide, and had concerns about using the disposable plastic bags or vacuum packs, so I was pleased to find these. I like having several sizes and am happy they are reusable (greener!). They seal very easily. Having them reusable/sealable is especially good for a newby like me. I forgot to place the herbs in something I was making the other day. Rather than opening and trashing a disposable bag, I just opened this up, added the herbs, resealed and started cooking. When I'm finished, I fill them with hot soapy water and let them sit for awhile which makes them easy to clean.

This is a really good, complete system for the price. Much better than expected. Nice selection of bag sizes and the pump is actually stronger than expected. I just sealed some bella mushrooms and I think it will really extend the lifetime. Give this system a try.
Hunting Gear Products : works great but...
While I really like having a vacuum sealer that is portable and does a great job. What it did to disclose is the difficulty of cleaning the bags once you have stored meat in them. I use dish soap, ran them in the dishwasher and also ran them through the washing machine to get the smell and residue of the meat product out. I even tried bleach to get the smell out after using the bags and of course, running them in the sous vide. It's a great concept, going forward I will be using a vacuum sealer machine which will cost less out of pocket than these bags, and no clean up needed.

Can’t exactly reuse these as stated. The bags get gross after using. Suction device sucks up juice from the bags from fish or beef and the clear piece doesn’t come off to clean inside of it. Not thrilled

I'm changing my review again because I found the correct cord and it has a longer male end which actually does allow the unit to be recharged. It was my error. I apologize for my previous complaint.
Ive changed my opinion. I cant recharge it because the insides has shifted just enough so the charger cant be inserted far enough to recharge. I will hope to receive a replacement. Until then i cannot recommend this product as i see from other posts it is a common problem with this unit.
I have a little problem sealing the bags before removing the air but that is because I have very bad arthritis. I found that the wooden handle on my spatulas does a fine job of helping. I'm mostly using the bags for seasonal things like fresh strawberries (that I freeze on cookie sheets first), nuts, whole grains, anything that can become rancid quickly, and leftovers. The suction is not as strong as my bigger machine but it is more than adequate for the small daily jobs. And it is easier to store in the kitchen so my big machine can stay in the pantry until I have bigger jobs to do.

Darci Xiong : Does it’s job
Due to limited space, I decided on these bags instead of getting a vacuum food sealer and I’m so glad I did! The bags are durable, seal nicely, and the rechargeable vacuum sealer that comes with it does it’s job. I like it that these bags are reusable. I have only used 3 bags so far to seal and store leftover turkey. I will update on how these bags hold up in the freezer and the freshness of the food once thawed.
