Ok I have read a few other reviews on this net. And come to my own opinion and we’ll. This is a great net it’s compact light weight and is extremely easy to open and close up not sure why some of the other reviewers posted it’s junk for. Other than they can’t read the instructions that came with the net.
Pretty lame for someone to give a bad review on this NET when it is exactly what is described for the product description I LOVE THIS NET I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IT EXCELLENT PRODUCT LIGHT WEIGHT EASY TO OPEN AND CLOSE FOLDS UP NICELY COMPACT NET.

I got this SF Foldable Fishing Landing Net with Collapsible Telescopic Aluminum Pole Handle,Durable Mesh with Rubber Coating in recently and this works well , l like how compact it is.

The black netting is durable and rubbery. It says it’s hook-proof witch is a good feature to have. The netting also has a waterproof coating on it. This is also good because I plan on keeping this in a sling pack so the net shouldn’t stay wet for long.

Speaking of keeping in my sling pack the way this folds up and has the telescopic poles is awesome. I never thought I would be able to fit a net in my bag until I come across this net. It’s also super easy to extend fully or fold up to store it.

Overall this is a good net however this net seems to only be for medium to smaller fish like crappie. Anything to large and the frame part of the net could bend but I expected that with a foldable net. Just keep that in mind.
I would recommend this net to use with
small-medium fish

This net is not very big, but it is collapsible and quite sturdy.

Size of net is going to decrease if you must have a small, portable net, and this net is not very large. It is surprisingly sturdy. The frame is sturdy aluminum and the net material is rubberized and strong. I suspect this is probably going to be more useful for backcountry trips where light weight and miniature size are at a premium. And it might be able to handle a larger fish than its about twelve-inch depth. It will likely prove more useful than just trying to carefully pull up a large fish at the end of your line. But I think it will be most useful for helping introduce children to fishing, giving them a feel for the process of landing the fish.

The pole is lightweight and easy to maneuver in small cramped areas where you're not fishing off the shore. The net is plastic coated giving it some added durability. The fact that it folds makes it convenient when you're hands are full or in tight spaces. The kids like to use it to catch cray fish from our lake. When we go down to Lake Mead it gets used across all the gentleman to bring in their catches while on the tritoon to keep too many hooks from being aboard while the kids are on deck playing. It works well for our needs and the price is reasonable.

D Velasquez : Convenient net for light fish

I am impressed with this SF foldable net, it collapses into a small enough size to fit in my backpack so I can take it anywhere quickly and with ease. Very simple to open and close, and the pole extends so I can use it with the pole extended or retracted. This is especially useful when I fish from my kayak as smaller is better. This landing that comes with basic instructions on how to unfold and how to store, which are easy to understand. The entirety of the net feels as reliable enough to land light fish such as trout, bass, and panfish. I would not use it for big fish unless it was the only net available at the time. I definitely recommend it for freshwater fishing. For me, optimal use of this net is when fishing from a kayak or a boat. Extremely satisfied with this light and convenient landing net.

Northern Lights : The mesh is softer than string style netting.

The only type of fishing I do anymore is catch and release. Using barbless hooks, most fish are able to get off of my hook without my assistance. On those times when I have to pull a hook out, I try to be as gentle with the fish as I possibly can. Whenever possible, I try to to gently grab a hold of the fish with one hand and use the other hand to remove the hook. Sometimes fish don't cooperate with being grabbed, and netting them becomes another method.
This type of netting material seems to be a lot softer than my old net.
I haven't gotten a chance to actually use this net, but I really like the folding handle, and I'm anxious to try it out when the weather gets a little better for fishing.

I’m a backpacker and often take multi day trips to lakes and rivers. I wanted to get a net that could pack away easy. This net blew away my expectations that it’s super fast to deploy or stowaway. It’s really strong for its size. It’s an aluminum body and heavy rubber net. The only plastic on the net is in the locking latch for the net and the pole. The pole in its shortest length is 12 inches and can double to 24 inches. The net is also 12x12x12 giving you a lot of volume to scoop up your catch. This is definitely a great deal for light weight setups.

I'm so amazed at the quality of engineering these days. This net is so compact when folded, yet expands into a fully functions, well made and easy to use fishing tool. The net is strong and well made. The handle is made out of quality aluminum. The design is easy to use even without instructions.

The folding mechanism feels like it's durable and the belt clip is definitely strong enough to keep this net attached to your bucket or your hip.

This will make an excellent gift for an aspiring fisherman.
