Pk Shiu : Takes a bit getting used to but works well for sealing food for sous vide
I tried the dry food option on a bagel and it squeezed so hard the bagel is compressed into a rock! I think the dry option is only good for truly dry hard food.
Also when using the machine, make sure you align the top of the bag at those two tabs, not beyond it. Finally, make sure you press both left and right side to lock the machine.
Overall, for the price, it is a great machine. Do not need to pay for the brand name types.
John Werner : inexpensive But Not Really A Value
This was supposed to be a one touch vacuum sealer, it is not. You also have to manually seal using a second button.. I also have not had good success with using it to pressurize marinades and that is just as important to me. I know it's cheap and it will vacuum seal, but I'd say it is wise to look further possibliy spending at least a bit more.

It nice and simple machine, definitely could satisfied family needed!
I use this machine and the bag comes with it to vacuum and seal my coffee beans. As shown in the photo, it seals pretty nice and tight!
Also, use the seal model to seal the snake package. it works much better than the original 'hair straightener' I used before. I can use it to seal multiple packages quickly.
I love this product and will purchase more vacuum sealer bags to work with it!
