Can this be used with liquids?
Answer: Hello! No, it is for food in non-liquid form
Answer: I've dried caramel syrup (medium consistency) and maraschino syrup (much thinner) on a sheet of parchment paper cut to fit the tray. They both worked, although the thinner syrup took a VERY long time, and both remain slightly tacky. You could not dry something as fluid as milk to make your own powdered milk, for example. But if you're thinking of something like marinade on beef jerky, yes, that will dry.

Answer: Yes you can spray the trays with non sticking spray, but be sure to add non-flavored cooking spray.
Answer: I suppose you could spray the trays, but then you might have a challenge cleaning them well. I've used the dehydrater for tomatoes, okra, peppers, onions, apples and herbs so far. Nothing has stuck yet: no mess.

Answer: First the machine starting normally then after 15 seconds show ER on the screen. I have trying to turn off and on many times but still machine show same thing

Answer: This cannot be fixed. It is a manufacturing fault. I rated my purchase with a 1* rating and complaint. The manufacturer contacted me and offered an immediate replacement or refund. Customer service could not be better or quicker.

Got this in July and was very happy with it. Twice made beef jerky and once salmon jerky. Then I dehydrated bananas and was bragging about my new found talent and toy. So last night, I started a nice selection of fruits and sometime during the night the machine stopped and I have an er code (error) in the window. Nothing in the instructions about this or online and no satisfactory answer here at the Amazon site. And I'm beyond the return window? Used it four times and beyond pissed off.
Credit where it's due. Very impressed that the manufacturer responded to me so quickly and apologized, accepted a fault in the product and offered a replacement or refund. Plus, told me to dispose of the defective one and not bother with the hassle of returning. As I was more than happy with it before the 'Er' problem, why not go with it again, safe in the knowledge that I'm dealing with somebody who stands by their product AND customer service. No longer pissed off.
So as promised, the replacement arrived and I'm happily back to dehydrating. Seems like there may just be a defective part that will presumably be sorted but knowing that the company will stand behind the product, and more importantly the customer, is awesome. True to their word. Purchase with confidence.

Works like a champ, I have dehydrated mushrooms, hot peppers, dried out pepper mash, cucumbers even, made beef jerky to name a few. What I like about this unit is the simple easy to use time and temperature adjustment. Its surprisingly quiet for what it does. When I dried out pepper mash (a bunch of fermented finely chopped peppers) I put the wet mash on parchment paper. Threw that right into the dehydrator, and the next day morning it was ready to grind. Its simple design allow you to be creative.

I recently purchased theis dehydrator and loved it. We dehydrated a ton of veggies from the garden this summer; it ran for hours. After a month of dehydrating, it started getting an "ER" message that I could not resolve. I loved it so much, I ordered another, and had to stop the shipment of it right away. Such a disappointment because it did a great job when it was working.

I have dehydrated 30 meals for backpacking. Total costs; including food and dehydrator was around $150. If I had bought the meals from the store I would have paid over $300 just for the meals. Plus, I know what is in my meals. Yes, this dehydrator was worth every penny. I highly recommend it.

I upgraded from my Harbor Freight dehydrator. (which isnt saying much. A light bulb in a shoe box would have matched that). Im doing herbs mostly and into a second batch. Love the timer and heat settings and will take some experimenting to get the right setting but it works perfectly. Easy to clean with the solid base you can just wipe up and trays that can go in a dishwasher after a load of jerky. The fan circulation is a plus as I dont have to move trays around like with the HF.
Update: Terrific unit. You can really fine turn the temp and time in case your keeping records and want to improve or tweak the results. There is a cap on one of the trays that when on top, distributes the air flow to the other 4. It doesnt hurt to twist the trays every so often for herbs but otherwise if youve kept track of settings, its a set and forget unit. Ill be buying another as a gift.

I bought this about a month ago and noticed that the fan is taking longer and longer to start blowing air. At the beginning it was like a hair drier and started instantly. Now, there is something not right because it takes more than a min for the fan to slowlyyyyy start blowing full speed, no doubt if I want this to work next week I'll have to take it apart to see what's wrong. :(
