Can this be used with liquids?
Answer: Hello! No, it is for food in non-liquid form
Answer: I've dried caramel syrup (medium consistency) and maraschino syrup (much thinner) on a sheet of parchment paper cut to fit the tray. They both worked, although the thinner syrup took a VERY long time, and both remain slightly tacky. You could not dry something as fluid as milk to make your own powdered milk, for example. But if you're thinking of something like marinade on beef jerky, yes, that will dry.

Answer: Yes you can spray the trays with non sticking spray, but be sure to add non-flavored cooking spray.
Answer: I suppose you could spray the trays, but then you might have a challenge cleaning them well. I've used the dehydrater for tomatoes, okra, peppers, onions, apples and herbs so far. Nothing has stuck yet: no mess.

Answer: This cannot be fixed. It is a manufacturing fault. I rated my purchase with a 1* rating and complaint. The manufacturer contacted me and offered an immediate replacement or refund. Customer service could not be better or quicker.

This is a wonderful dehydrator. Had it now for a month and it has already paid itself off in making amazing beef and pork jerky. The control panel is super easy to use and it is very quiet. We leave it on while we are sleeping and since it has a timer, it shuts off automatically. The trays are nice and sturdy but it is a bit of work to clean if you use a thicker marinade for your jerky. Thinning out the marinade with water or vinegar and patting the meat with paper towels before spreading out on the trays help to keep the drippings to a minimum. Love this dehydrator and highly recommend it for it's simplicity, usefulness, and price! Great product!

I don't know what liners to get to use to dehydrate really small items or make fruit leather: I wish that info had been included or a recommendation was available. I upgraded from my Harbor Freight dehydrator. (which isnt saying much. A light bulb in a shoe box would have matched that). Im doing herbs mostly and into a second batch. Love the timer and heat settings and will take some experimenting to get the right setting but it works perfectly. Easy to clean with the solid base you can just wipe up and trays that can go in a dishwasher after a load of jerky. The fan circulation is a plus as I dont have to move trays around like with the HF.
Update: Terrific unit. You can really fine turn the temp and time in case your keeping records and want to improve or tweak the results. There is a cap on one of the trays that when on top, distributes the air flow to the other 4. It doesnt hurt to twist the trays every so often for herbs but otherwise if youve kept track of settings, its a set and forget unit. Ill be buying another as a gift.

My first dehydrator was similar in design, but had no fan (which makes all the difference). My first one also had no time or temp control. This one does and it makes it so much easier to use. I haven't used it on figs yet or fruit leathers. My old one melted the trays when I made the fig roll-ups. I did make some dried tomatoes and banana chips. Both were pliable because I the timer would shut of the machine and they were not over dried and brittle. The design of the trays is excellent and allows air to blow over each tray evenly.

Works like a champ, I have dehydrated mushrooms, hot peppers, dried out pepper mash, cucumbers even, made beef jerky to name a few. What I like about this unit is the simple easy to use time and temperature adjustment. Its surprisingly quiet for what it does. When I dried out pepper mash (a bunch of fermented finely chopped peppers) I put the wet mash on parchment paper. Threw that right into the dehydrator, and the next day morning it was ready to grind. Its simple design allow you to be creative.
