This pack of 2 leads folks to believe it is for 2 reels however, I ordered this and only received one reel. Amazon is sending a replacement, so we shall see if they get it right this time.
Answer: My husband received 2 complete reels - I assumed it was an error but he got 2. Each in their own separate Abu Garcia box like you get at the store.

I am really enjoying this new reel! First of all, it’s gorgeous. I had to get a new pole just for it to show off how good it really looks! I like that it is low profile, compared to some of my old reels. It makes it less unwieldy and off-balance during cast. I also like that it was easy to set up, without having to read directions, its straight-forward set up had me ready to go in no time.
Some reels just don’t do the job when it comes to some of the lighter lines and lures. This one doesn’t have that problem. It has an accurate and far-reaching cast. The run out is smooth, and braking system superb. The other bonus is that it is super quiet!

Art Cox : Great reel but a bit pricey
I do love the reel. I had very high expectations at this price point. I have not been blown away at all. It does everything you expect. I have put it through the ringer this year. I have 3 - 7lb+ Bass and a 27” pike on it. It didn’t fail but neither have most of my other reels that are significantly less expensive. I have it on a St Croix yak rod. I am only displeased with the price point.

The first note on the reel is that its beautiful. The reel looks like a genius engineer went to work with an artist and made something that is functional, beautiful and moves like a perfect machine. When I took the reel to a store to buy a rod, the man behind the counter called his colleagues out to take a look and said "Best reel in our shop. Do you know how much that reel costs?" Of course I did, and that only made me more ready to go fishing.
I will say that the reel does have a low profile relative to the rod. It sit smoothly and snugly to the rod and doesn't really catch. It also doesn't throw the weight off by much.
Here's the problem...I cast it no less than 20 times and I had 20 snarls. Some of them were easier than others. Some required surgery with my filleting knife to get the snarls out. I adjusted the drag, it did not help. I tightened it, loosened it, did everything I could think of to stop the snarling when I cast and it simply re-snarled on the next cast. I went online and saw this is a problem with high end reels; if its a good reel, apparently you need to be some kind of genius caster to use it. What was needed was someone with the patience and capability of un-knotting endless yards of fishing line...
After watching several videos on my phone, trying every way I could to use the reel successfully, on the 21st snarl, I gave up. I promise you that the reel (and newly purchased rod) will remain in my collection. But I will not likely use it again. I wish I could recommend the reel...but it was not successful for me.
