Use the included solid sheet to make Fruit rolls snack, tasty chewy fruit leather made from pureed fruit. Fruit rolls are easy to make and cost less than those bought at the store.

Favorite Jerky

Jerky is a favorite protein-rich snack for home, school, and on the hike, It is made by seasoning lean, raw meat in a salt mixture, then drying it without cooking. Jerky also makes a delicious broth for soups and stews

Suggested Drying Temperature

Fruits, fruit rolls and vegetables: from 130ºF to 140ºF, this temperature range will help preserve vitamins A and C.
Nuts and seeds: best temperature is from 95ºF to 105ºF
Meats and fish: should be dried on the highest temperature setting. Higher temperatures will keep bacteria and other spoilage micro-organisms, to a minimum during the drying process.
Herbs and spices: from 95ºF to 105ºF, Try using fresh Herbs and spices before they begin to blossom. Make sure not to load trays too heavily as this will prolong the drying process.

We send our old patio furniture to china, and they return it to us in the shape of a food drier. This thing is exactly what one would expect from a large hair drier hooked up to a plastic box. The "premium" stainless steel trays have all the rust fighting powers of raw iron. Luckily, you can dry them in the drier to fight corrosion!????
You too can turn delicious fresh fruit into chewy, sour nuggets with a mere 12 hours of cooktime!
Honestly tho, consider the plastic trays. These cheap metal ones bend like a crooked politician and don't fit into the rails easily.

DO NOT BUY! There is warning on the side that says "WARNING: Cancer and reproductive harm- P65Warnings” I bought this because I thought the whole thing was metal, but only the trays are. The rest is made of plastic and clearly NOT a safe one!!

I love the product. I’ve been feeding my kid freeze dried fruit lately but thought I’d try drying fruit instead freeze dried fruit has chemicals in it. Used this dehydrater to make apple chips and banana chips. Works like a charm every time. The best part is it automatically shuts off when it’s done drying. Therefore I usually dry my produce overnight and don’t need to worry about it ‘till the morning. Delivery was fast and came as advertised. Great product!

Yes, it is quiet, has all the features, performs very well. I have to rotate the top to the bottom once during a full rack session. Using parchment paper for fruit leather probably interferes with air flow. Leathers are huge hit with extended family. Trying something of everything. Cherries, potatoes, apples, plums, old canned applesauce I had made a few years ago. Frozen fruits work well. No advice whatsoever from the company included with the dehydrator. Use the Internet, it helps a lot.

This is a nice dehydrator. Takes around 10 hrs for most things like apples etc. It’s not to noisy.

Very nice dehydrator. Used it for many foraged and garden grown foods. Quiet operation, but we kept it out in the garage because your house will smell like whatever you are drying. Spicy peppers = spicy air!
Sometimes it is a little clunky to move the racks in and out and add/check food. Just have a clean surface in front of the unit so you can collect any items that fall through the racks.
