Fruit Roll Snack
Use the included solid sheet to make Fruit rolls snack, tasty chewy fruit leather made from pureed fruit. Fruit rolls are easy to make and cost less than those bought at the store.
Favorite Jerky
Jerky is a favorite protein-rich snack for home, school, and on the hike, It is made by seasoning lean, raw meat in a salt mixture, then drying it without cooking. Jerky also makes a delicious broth for soups and stews
Suggested Drying Temperature
- Fruits, fruit rolls and vegetables: from 130ºF to 140ºF, this temperature range will help preserve vitamins A and C.
- Nuts and seeds: best temperature is from 95ºF to 105ºF
- Meats and fish: should be dried on the highest temperature setting. Higher temperatures will keep bacteria and other spoilage micro-organisms, to a minimum during the drying process.
- Herbs and spices: from 95ºF to 105ºF, Try using fresh Herbs and spices before they begin to blossom. Make sure not to load trays too heavily as this will prolong the drying process.

We ordered this dehydrator because it was on sale during the Amazon Prime Days event. Within one day of it's arrival we were making our first batch of beef jerky, which is what I primarily bought this for.
The machine is large and needs a flat, level space near a wall outlet because the cord is not very long. We have it placed on a small kitchen table near our stove. After turning it on, setting the temperature (which is easy to adjust with push buttons on top) it was ready to go - and MUCH quieter than I anticipated. I am presenting sitting our our living room - one room away - and it's running and I can't hear it. The other surprise was that it did not raise the temperature much while it was running, although we do tend to use it in the later part of the day and evening.
Our first batch of jerky utilized all six trays. I set the temperature at the top temperature (158) and let it run for 5 hours. The top round was thin sliced to less than 1/4 inch - I had frozen the meat first to thinly slice and marinate overnight. 5 hours did it, everything was dried with nice cross hatches on the meat from the wire racks. Nice touch! I would recommend, however, lightly greasing the trays before use, because it was hard on a few racks to peel the meet off without losing a piece of the dried meat.
I have yet to dry chicken liver (that is coming next because it will save me a fortune on dog treats) and fruits. It comes with a fruit roll tray so I am looking at recipes now so I can make my own fruit roll up with summer fruit.
I can heartily recommend this dehydrator! Quite, effective, six trays and easy to move out of the way when not in use. It's light enough that I can carry it without asking for my husband's help. It is much lighter than comparable high end machines, but it gets the job done very effectively and in short time. It's my favorite purchase from Prime Days!

We send our old patio furniture to china, and they return it to us in the shape of a food drier. This thing is exactly what one would expect from a large hair drier hooked up to a plastic box. The "premium" stainless steel trays have all the rust fighting powers of raw iron. Luckily, you can dry them in the drier to fight corrosion!????

I love the product. I’ve been feeding my kid freeze dried fruit lately but thought I’d try drying fruit instead freeze dried fruit has chemicals in it. Used this dehydrater to make apple chips and banana chips. Works like a charm every time. The best part is it automatically shuts off when it’s done drying. Therefore I usually dry my produce overnight and don’t need to worry about it ‘till the morning. Delivery was fast and came as advertised. Great product!

I have been using this for months now, and would recommend it to everybody. When you receive it, follow instructions for first use to remove any “new smells”, which weren’t bad at all. The usual. I do jerky in it and it is incredible. Fan isn’t very loud at all. Stainless steel racks fit in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. This is an incredible investment for those that want to make jerky or dehydrate other things. “No cats please” lol. Seriously, if you are not sure, or overwhelmed with the number of dehydrators to choose from, this is it. I just ordered one for a friend too!
