Finally, a decent fish stringer. Well built, easy to use and very reasonably priced. The best stringer I’ve used in a very long time. Definitely not the cheap junk others sell which bend open the first time a pike thrashes.

Considering how much I paid to buy this, I expected a crappy product, which is not the case here. The stringer is actually a very good product. The stainless steel cable is quite long and strong, of smooth wires. The hooks are sturdy and function well. A good purchase.

I’m really impressed with this stringer. The hooks are a lot bigger then the standard fishing stringers. They are easy to open up and are secured so the fish can’t get off. I really like how the cable part is longer so the fish can be in deeper water off the shore.
The floating device is great too because you can see where the stringer is while fishing from afar.
I would recommend this stringer to any fishermen. It’s lightweight and easy to use.

This is a great stringer! It's light weight, so easy to take with me, but is very sturdy and heavy duty. The clip is solid and does a good job at keeping the fish where I want them without worrying about it coming loose. Overall, this is a great, well made stringer set and I love it!

When i first ordered the Hunter's stringer, I was a bit skeptical as it is made out of stainless steel. I thought for sure it would twist and tangle up in a big mess. But once I took it fishing, it worked out great! Nice and sturdy and easy to string your catch and does not tangle. The string is longer than most stringers and can keep fish in the water longer to keep fresh. Great product.

This works, but I think it'snot going to last for long. The materials just have that cheap feel. It has been fine for a couple fishing trips, but next to the old one my grandfather passed down, I don't think it will hold up for long!

The Orange floating ball should prevent fish from swimming to stone bottom and convenient to raise the fish. HECK NO. It doesn’t float! It sponges up water and becomes a weight that causes the whole line to sink straight to the bottom.

I’ll replace the orange thing with a real float.

My husband and boys like to fish but we really didn’t have a way to keep the fish if we didn’t eat them right away. The Hunter's Tail Fish Stringer is a traditional style stringer where you can hook the fish onto and keep them alive hanging in the water. My Dad always had one of these so it brings back fond memories but this one really seems superior because of the stainless steel construction.

My brother is the family fisherman. Initially he was dubious about this stringer but after a fishing trip he came back a believer. It is easy to use, surpringly sturdy and functional. The stainless stelel is strong and durable. He was certain it would be a twited mess that he would have to untangle but there was no twisting or tangling at all. Well designed and well made it truly is a fisherman's friend.

This was a gift to a family fisherman. The fisherman reports: This fish stringer is very smartly designed. It does not tangle and it is strong and apparently durable. It will corral fish of various sizes.

Overall he is very happy with it. We have at least two fishermen in the family, so I must divide the fishing aids between the two. They become very enthusiastic, and more than ready to try out these new contraptions and helpers. 5 stars!

This is a quality fish stringer, and does the job nicely. I took it on a test run earlier when we went bass fishing with crankbait. Locked in a few big fish, it held just fine. You've got a ground support stand with a mountaineering buckle, for the shore. The wire itself is soft stainless steel with a rubber coating. Finally, there's the orange floater, to keep the fish from swimming to the bottom of the river and getting tangled in anything.

When it's all said and done, you're not dealing with a tangled mess. Overall, it's a nice stringer at a good price. Definitely something to add to your tackle box, or get as a gift for any angler you know. They'll appreciate it.

Easy to use. Comes with a spike that secured everything well. The most I've put onto it is about 20 lbs of Blue catfish. The float works well too. The only mild annoyance is it doesn't store well on the plastic spool it comes with.

P. MSakamoto : Heavy Duty stringer with great features

This stringer is heavy duty enough to hang 50 pounds or more of fish on it. It is super overkill for my normal trout fishing. In the photo I upoaded, you can see a four pound trout I hung from it - which is no challenge at all.

I know I could hang a few salmon off of this unit with the only issue being the strength to lift it.

Some of the great features:
1. Stainless steel.
2. Clips are big enough to clear the jaw of a good sized fish and have spring closures that do not necessitate the user having super strong hands to open and close them, as the "safety pin" type clips on lesser units need.
3. The clips slide on the stringer which is great for putting live catch into the water for preservation and staking the other end of the cable onto the shore or tying it off on your boat.
4. There is a small orange float to keep the end in view if it is in the water. It is not buoyant enough to hold up a few pounds weight, though. I think it is more like a way to have something to grab for if it goes over the side accidentally.
5. Doesn't tangle because of the cable vs. chain construction.

I like this a lot and it is my go-to stringer.

This a real good product and a great value. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because the spring latching system is good but I did have a 8 pound catfish pop the latch. Did not loose the fish because the hooks are pretty stout
