Is his a monofilimant net or is it another material?

Answer: Another. I snagged it on my boat the first day and ripped a hole about 6 inches. I had and old salt net for 2 years stronger and mono. Old Betts nets are great also. Friend has one 1/4 12 foot. 5 years no holes.

It is the best net I have every put in my hand the 7ft. Net was. The 6ft. Came with different weights and nothing like the 7ft. Big long weights on the net that tangle up when you try to throw it. I returned it charged me 15.00 restocking fee and didn't pay shipping cost.

Lee Fisher nets are of the best quality. I do prefer the old style lead line that had torpedo shaped lead rather than the new style of round shaped lead. The older style kept a better seal on the bottom in shallow water allowing less fish to escape.

Monte : love this cast net

love this cast net. my 5th net. only one buy lee fisher nets. all other nets have broke, none from snags. this one has held up for over a year and still looks new. throws perfect and does not tangle up on itself. i have a 1/4 in one that i use on the flats in the south east. i plan on getting one more in 1/2 for when im looking for green backs in deeper water. the 1/2 will sink faster to get more bait in in one throw. lee fisher is great to deal with and offer tons of nets in any price range.
