Answer: Spinning reels handle are interchangeable. You can remove and attached to either right or left.

Is it water proof ?

Answer: No. Not water resitant or water proof if any way.

Answer: The internals are sealed. That said if you submerge it for a long period don't expect to protect the internals forever. The exterior is made to get water on it. Proper maintenance is the key.

Does the reel come with the spare washers for the spool?

Answer: All Daiwa reels come with spacers to adjust the reel pickup in order to level the winding on the spool. Technically they are not "spare washers' but more specifically they are sometimes needed to fine tune your reel depending on rod, drag, line test, and lure weight. Once you have a feeling as to your set up, you should test it in the yard for about a dozen casts, then make any needed adjustments, including removing spacers. Do not try on water or you may regret. This is applicable to almost every spinning reel of quality on the market today. FYI

Had a Daiwa Regal 2500, very good and strong, so bought this Regal 2000. Nice suprise that it is quite compact than 2500 for weight and size. Well meeting my expectation for small fish. Try it already for crappie fishing, very good!

Another good point is the price already includes tax and duty, net price!

Bought this reel to replace a Shakespear reel that had worn out. This one works great. Light and easy to use.

Good reel so far. Its a little bigger than other 2500 reels I have, even Diawa reels. Really smooth and so far the only issue I’ve had is uneven line lay, which I fixed with the spacers in the box. Only weird thing is the color. Get it out in the sun and it’s purple, but like a 1990 low rider with a purple/green hypercolor fade. Weird. Will update with durability/performance.
