The webbing is too wide for holding fish in the center. Stretches and fish slip right through. Had 12-15” trout slip through the net after unhooking the catch.

Beautiful wooden handle with the plastic netting great for trout fishing. Keeps the slime on them and super easy to work with. It’s large enough for good sized fish but not too big that I can carry on a long hike. Has a strap at the end that you can tie to your pack if you don’t want to hold it.

Overall great buy for the money. I was planning on getting a magnetic release, but the strap is elastic and so is easy to maneuver to the water if clipped to a vest/pack. The only forseeable issue is that the rubber net is fixed to the frame by what looks like cotton twine, but as long as you don't abuse it, I can't see any short term practical issues.
