Answer: The tire lines are much tougher and won’t rip as easily if you hit a snag or a tree branch. The mono still works just fine it just won’t last as long. I would say that if you use it more than a few times a year get the tire line, if not go mono.

Answer: I didn’t have problems picking up fish. I would say make sure you are throwing a good pancake on the water and wait until the net almost hits the bottom before you pull it back up.

After using it on 2 different occasions since I bought this a few days ago, it already has rips along the bottom and now the weights are getting hung up in the holes. Please fix or replace or refund. This is a very lightweight cast net... It won't hold up to heavy use or bottom contact. Keep it off the bottom and only thrown it on smaller baits. The horn ring is thin plastic and will break easily. It's a good back up net if you need one. An Ol'Salty is a much better product and can take the abuse better.

After two different trips since purchasing, the line broke near the leaders. The rope is very long and challenging for beginners to use. I used my old 7 foot net to catch freshwater shad for years, this net made me feel like amateur (in the surf), i could only get it to open once every 3 or 4 throws. Not dure why, but the lead sure feel very heavy.

Quite possibly the best cast net I've ever had to stick in my mouth! I bought this net because I was tired of my old one not sinking fast enough. And when I did pull bait fish up with it, I had to spend 10 aching minutes of pulling the ones that are stuck in the net out. I will NEVER have to do pull a fish head off, and shove it through this net to get it clean! All the bait fish roll right out and into the bucket.
