Questions about Nesco LT-2SG Set of 2 Add-A-Tray for FD-61/FD-61WHC/FD-75A and FD-75PR Dehydrators, Gray
Q:
Will these fit a FD 60?
Answer: Yes! I just bought a half dozen for my FD-60 and the main difference is that these are speckled grey, hence the LT-2SG in the name. You can get them in white, model LT-2W, but they cost over twice as much
Answer: They will fit into a FD-60 but they are not compatible with the trays that came with the original unit.
Answer: YES, they DO fit. The design is a little different, but they do fit. I ordered them after another customer posted the note that was placed inside the box which stated that they do fit the FD 60.
Answer: No. There is a 1/2 inch difference in size.
Q:
Is it 110v or 220/240 voltage?
Answer: The one offered on Amazon is 110v. That is normal current for the USA.
Answer: The dehydrator itself is 110v
Answer: It's neither - it's not electric, but an add-a-tray accessory for the Nesco FD-61 Dehydrator.
Answer: 110 v
Answer: 110
Q:
Will these trays fit the "old" Gardenmaster where the trays are 13" diameter and 1" high?
Answer: Tray dimensions are: ID - 12 3/4"; OD - 13 3/8"; H - 1 1/8". Fits Nesco American Harvest Models FD-61, FD-61 WHC, FD-75 PR.
Q:
Do these fit the FD-79, and what number is the bottom rack, which is flared!!
Answer: You will need LT-2GP trays for the FD-79 And if you are referring to the bottom base you would have to call our customer service department to place an order. 1-800-288-4545 8:00am-4:00pm Central time, Monday-Friday. Thank you
Q:
would this work in a cosori co165-fd dehydrator?
Answer: No. Too big
Q:
Will this fit the FD-62 model?
Answer: Yes, According to the paper work that came with my trays they will fit "new and older versions of the FD-40, 50, 60 and 70 series dehydrators."
Answer: I would like to help you, but I do not know the answer. My dehydrator is a FD-61.
Answer: Fits NESCO 60 and 70 Series Dehydrators
Answer: They sure will!
Answer: Yes
Q:
What is the difference between the four Nesco food dehydrator models?
Answer: Thank you for your question. Some of the models have a set temperature, others have adjustable temperatures. This is important based on the type of food you wish to dehydrate (herbs would be lower temperature than meat for example). Some of the units have a 13 1/2" diameter tray while others are larger and have a 15 1/2" diameter tray. Some also allow for a larger number of trays as well. If you would like more information, please call our customer service at 800-288-4545.
Answer: While these trays fit a Nesco American Harvest FD60
Q:
Will they fit an american harvester snackmaster fd 50/30 ?
Answer: It fits my American Harvester F050/30 very nicely
Answer: Yes it fits very nicely. I bought 3 additional sets and i am glad that I did. It fits my another dehydrator too.
Answer: Ok, in/above the description you can ask a question. I believe they sent me to a compatibilty page. Good luck.
Q:
What is the wattage
Q:
How do I start a return?
Q:
This is 6 trays, correct?
Answer: Also each box I order of these new trays only came with 2 trays.. so I got a total 2 boxes, 4 extra..
Answer: This is only 2 trays. When added to the original trays that came with the device, you will have 6 trays total.
Answer: The box contains two trays. They are identical to the drier trays that come with the food drier.
Answer: I only received two trays as well. Did you ever get the other four trays?
Answer: No mine came with 5, then I ordered 4 more..
Answer: Only three.
Q:
Will these work in my fd-1022sk dehydrator???
Answer: I do not think that they will, but I am not sure. Contact the company directly to find out.
Q:
My sliced carrots or onions fall through towards the end of dehydrating. Is there a different tray for smaller foods?
Answer: Yes! We do offer what we call a clean a screen. The model number for that part is LM-2.
Q:
Which add on trays fit the fd 78sk?
Answer: It would be best if you called Nesco' customer service. 1-800-288-4545. They are very helpful with answering your questions.
Answer: Sorry but I cannot answer your question. Suggest contacting Nebsco directly who should be able to help you.
Q:
Tray slope pointing up? Or down?
Answer: not sure what slope you might mean but center ring comes up about a 1/4 of an inch . And I face mine up so less falls into the bottom as I fill the tray
Answer: up
Answer: up works best
Q:
Will they fit a 2001 nesco american harvest snackmaster?
Answer: Don't know, but contact Nesco. They listed which trays fit, what models in the item description.
Answer: I think so... They seem to be the same size as my old American Harvest one.
Answer: Hello. We're inclined to say these will work, but there's an easy way to know for sure. The diameter of these trays is 13.5 inches. If your dehydrator trays are the same diameter, then these should work for you, as they are all built to work together.
Answer: I believe they are all the same
Q:
Can these dehydrating trays be used in the microwave?
Answer: We do not recommend using them in the microwave as they are built for the less concentrated heat of the dehydrator rather than the microwave.
Answer: Nowhere on the item does it say it is microwave safe, so I would not recommend. The trays are very thin plastic that work extremely well for dehydrating.
Answer: No they can't go in the microwave.
Answer: I don't know. I have not tried to use them in the microwave.
Answer: They are plastic, so I don't see why not.
Answer: Yes
Q:
Will a nesco snackmaster add a tray fit a snachmaster 2200?
Q:
Will they fit the AH 2200?
Answer: My box shows the number 2200 in the corner.
Answer: I'm sorry but I am unable to answer your question as I am unfamiliar with the AH 2200.
Answer: Im not sure. I have a FD 75 and it works.
Answer: I can not locate this model by Nesco. I’ve searched everywhere...sorry.
Answer: Yes they would!
Q:
Will these fit my FD 50/30 Nesco dehydrator?
Answer: These trays will fit your FD-50/30 unit. They are gray speckled in color.
Q:
Will this fit Nesco FD-37?
Answer: I have the FD61. My trays are 13.5” x1 1/8”
Answer: Thank you for your question. The add-a-trays for the NESCO FD-37 are item number WT-2SG.
Q:
Really take 1-2 months to deliver? All other trays normal shipping.
Answer: Got everything in about a week
Q:
Can I dehydrate blueberries or will thy fall through the holes?
Answer: Nesco Clean-A-Screens are round mesh screens that go on top of your dehydrator trays. The screens have smaller holes than the trays to prevent small items from falling through. These are also great for sticky foods. The item number depends on the model of dehydrator you have. The clean-a-screens for the FD-61/75 models is item number LM-2.
Answer: They will probably be ok except for the smallest of blueberries. But ever since I started using the Nesco LM-2 clean-a-screan I use those for everything. Nothing falls through, once things cool a bit just lift and twist the screen and most everything releases. Easy cleanup. Have six racks and six screens that we use together for all the fruit we do
Answer: My blueberries wouldn't fall through. I think it's safe to say you can dehydrate them without your concern.
Answer: yes, you can dehydrate blueberries on these trays
Q:
american harvest model FD 50/30 how many can I stack
Answer: I’ve stacked 13 but ideal is 5-7. I now use a 9-rack rear fan. I have a Gourmia and down Chefman. The Nesco is great for a hobby but not for a hundred pounds.
Answer: I found the machine works well up to 9 total. I bought 6 more so I have 11 with the original 5. After 8 or 9 it is too tall for the drying heat to reach all. Or it will take double the drying time.
Answer: I've done the 8 that I own before. The only thing I do is rotate the top 2 to the bottom every 2-3 hours. So things dry more evenly
Answer: You can use up to 12 trays on this machine!
Q:
Will this fit an fd-20?
Answer: Yes, the trays will fit that model dehydrator. They will be a different color.
Answer: They’re trash and don’t fit well on anything. Except the trash. Better to look for one at a yard sale and expand it that way. These are not like the originals
Answer: Check the NESCO Website. They have a listing for compatible dehydrators & models.
Q:
Are the lt-2sg add-a-tray for fd-75pr dehydrator dishwasher safe?
Answer: We recommend that you hand-wash the trays, however, they are dishwasher safe as long as you remove them before the dry cycle as that can get so hot it melts the trays.
Answer: I hand wash mine, but if you choose to use the dishwasher, I would place them on the top rack for fear of the thinner plastic melting. Hand washing the trays are easy and air dry quickly.
Answer: I never did read wheather they are dish washer safe but I would not try it. The dish washer would get too hot for the plastic tray and most likley damage it. I have a deep well sink in my garage. I let the trays soak over night in soap and bleach
Answer: The box said it was. I have not washed these specifics trays but the originals i have washed several times without issue. These appear to be made from the same material and i would not expect an issue.
Answer: Would not recommend it. They get really pliable with the jerky setting. I put mine in water to soak over night and then hand wash in hot soapy water. Seems to do the best job of cleaning. No problems as of yet.
Q:
Are these trays dishwasher friendly?
Answer: Top rack only. They melt and warp when placed in the bottom of the dishwasher. You can also air dry with will help.
Answer: Nesco says you can put in dishwasher on top rack, i have done it and they are fine, however you can only fit 2 at a time unless you have an industrial size dishwasher. I find it is easier to wash by hand and hose off outside on our patio table.
Answer: I have never put my in the dishwasher. I don't think I would. If you push on them hard they will break. I soak mine in Dawns and then use a soft brush to clean them.
Answer: You can wash them in the dishwasher, but need to remove them before the drying cycle or you risk warping them.
Answer: If you make sure that any moving parts in the dishwasher make no contact with the grate and if the heated dry is off and nothing else in the dishwasher is able to strike the grate such as utensils, then YES.
Answer: Yes, I only wash them on a light wash though.
Q:
Will these fit the FD-1040?
Answer: In the product description it should state which models these fit.
Answer: Yes it worked with my dehydrator very well.
Q:
Will these fit an FD-62?
Answer: It should fit with no problems. You will find that the tray has changed a little if you have an older version as I do, but I believe it to be an improvement. They only removed the little center piece that moved air in a more downward motion. I found that if I use my newer version trays on the bottom they dry as fast as the upper four trays. I will certainly be adding more before next garden season.
Answer: Pretty sure they will. I have found that most will fit together.
Q:
will these work with presto electric dehydrator?
Answer: I am sorry, I do not have any information regarding the Presto Dehydrator or the dimensions of the trays needed.
Answer: I bought mine specifically for a Nesco dehydrator. I am not familiar with the Presto unit.
Answer: Sorry, I have no experience with the presto electric dehydrator. I really don't know.
Answer: I can’t be sure. Nesco is the only dehydrator like this tha I own. Sorry
Q:
i have the fd-37 and there are two clips that fasten to the top lid and bottom tray. won't they be too short if i add the trays?
Answer: I got the one that was advertised for my model and even though they were not exactly the same, they worked and fit perfectly.
Answer: I got it as a gift so I'm not sure, sorry!
Q:
Will this fit Nesco FD-37?
Answer: I have the FD61. My trays are 13.5” x1 1/8”
Answer: Thank you for your question. The add-a-trays for the NESCO FD-37 are item number WT-2SG.
Q:
Do these fit the ronco model 187-04 dehydrator?
Answer: These trays are only approved to use with the great Nesco FD-75A, or FD-75PR. We cannot guarantee they will fit any other brands. It sounds like it's time for you to upgrade to a Nesco!
Answer: Sorry I own a Nesco dehydrator.
Q:
Will these fit a Nesco FD-37
Answer: I don't think these fit in FD-37. There is another item that may fit. Try http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003I4F7DK/
Answer: I don't have that size so I don't know.
Q:
will it fit the FD-77DT?
Answer: This is a replacement for the FD77GT. There may be a size difference. This is model is 13", the DT model is 13 1/2". I would recommend contacting Nesco to ensure it will fit properly.
Answer: Yes, per information on Nesco website: Add-A-Tray FD-61, 75PR, 77DT, Set of 2 Speckled, 13-1/2''
Answer: Yes it's fits perfectly, made differently than the original trays.
Answer: Pretty sure it will!
Q:
will these fit a pkfd12 food dehdrator?
Q:
I need taller trays for bigger pieces I need to dry. If I cut off the mesh like parts of these trays, will the dehydrator still work?
Answer: So you're thinking of buying these extra trays, cutting out the mesh innards, and using them basically just as spacers? If so, yes. It will still dehydrate.
Answer: never tried that way before, but it should be, just slower due to the size of the pieces... functionally speaking, the dehydrator will still work normally
Answer: I think that it would work fine. As long as the trays you alter still fit with the trays which are above and below them, the warm air will continue to flow. FG
Answer: Yes it'll work but drying large pices like that are very time consuming and may not dry the centers completely
Answer: You can also buy the convert-a-tray kit which will accomplish the same thing (added height), but will allow them to also be used as regular trays with the mesh put back in them. The part number for these is CT2SGP. I believe they can be purchased directly from the Nesco website, if not here on Amazon.
Answer: I don't see why it wouldn't. The heat source is a separate piece.
Q:
Are these trays EXACTLY like the trays that come with my Nesco FD-75A? I see reviews that they are different and not as good. Thanks for the help.
Answer: I think the question is do they have the raised center hub (kind of a collar an inch high) with the slots in it? There are some of they trays that come without that and are kind of floppy in the middle. The FD-75A comes with the weak, cheapo trays.
Answer: For me, it's exactly the same. Color, texture, build, etc. All the same. I purchased my dehydrator almost 2 months ago. Maybe those who purchased their dehydrator a long time ago have current style trays.
Answer: I really can't tell you that. I do not have that model, like I said, my dehydrator is from 1993. I really don't know how someone could say they aren't good. All you do it lay food on them to dry. They worked fine for me, and my trial run with them was jerky. I even used ground meat and didn't have any trouble with it sticking or falling through the slats.
Answer: As far as I know they are!! I don't notice any difference between them and the ones that came with the dehydrator!
Answer: Slightly but I haven't had any trouble
Q:
where can I find the convert-a-tray for the FD-61?
Answer: Nesco LT-2SG Add-A-Tray for FD-61/FD-61WHC/FD-75A and FD-75PR Dehydrators, Set of 2
Answer: The part number for the convert-a-tray kit for the FD-61, 75A, 75PR, and 77DT Nesco dehydrators is CT-2SGP. If you can't find them here on Amazon, I'm pretty sure they can be ordered elsewhere or on the Nesco website.
Q:
How many trays can be stacked at one time?
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: This is from the manufactures website for the FD75-PR which is the correct model number of this unit.
Answer: The box actually shows 12 in use. I’d agree with Kevin. However, I’d check temperature at the bottom to ensure 160 degrees as well as swap trays half way for even drying. Temperature is important to kill bacteria and swapping for even airflow and drying time.
Answer: 10 trays.
Q:
i just bought my Nesco dehydrator also ordered 2 trays. Do the screens come with trays?
Answer: Screens came with the dehydrator. But when I ordered more trays, I just got trays. (Which was what I wanted.)
Answer: The screens are built-in, just like the regular trays that come with dehydrator
Answer: No screens come with these extra trays, it is just the trays.
Answer: The screen comes with the dehydrator. A screen and a solid for fruit leathers. I love my machine!
Answer: I am going to say yes. They are a one-piece unit, just like the trays that came with your dehydrator.
Answer: Mine came with the unit
Q:
How do I start a return
Q:
Which add on trays will fit the FD 1040?
Answer: Add-A-Tray FD-1000, 1010, 1020, 1040-Set of 2 White, 15 ...
Answer: FD-1000, FD-1010, FD-1020 and FD-1040
Answer: look at reviews, mine is a fd 75
Answer: T-R 2
Answer: Sorry I. don't know
Q:
I'm planning to purchase four more trays. Will I need to rotate trays now (heat element at the top...more trays cause less heat transference)?
Answer: I rotate my trays. If I can dehydrate something in 10-12 hours versus 18-24 to save energy costs, then I will rotate trays. The way the trays set traps the heat somewhat so it is not necessary. The unit does put out heat into the room so my thought on rotating is it will enable quicker drying and eliminate the heat output into the room.
Answer: I have 7 trays and I always rotate them whether I use them all or only 2. After about 30 minutes of drying time, I take the bottom tray and move it to the top. I do turn the heat up some, when using all the trays. If you are drying fruit and vegetables, if you take too long to dry them, they will mildew. (they will in the south) I dry a lot of herbs fresh from my garden and they always turn out very good. I always try to fill all the trays to save on electricity.
Answer: Nope! I have 11 trays, and have never had to rotate. I live in HI and the relative humidity never drops below 60 %.
Q:
Will these fit the Nesco Jerky express? Thanks
Answer: If you have the Jerky Express with the red top, no these will not fit. You will need WT-2
Answer: I have a Nesco press as well and I use these trays in my Nesco dehydrator. I line the trays in the beginning drying time, to prevent any mess or dripping, and when set, I remove paper and put directly on trays.
Answer: Yes i bought 2 and they work great
Q:
Why are these trays priced at 76.85 when others new are here for 10.99. Please tell me what I am missing so I don't buy the wrong thing?
Answer: 2 months ago I bought 2 extra trays for $13 and 2 clean-a- screen for $6. This was through amazon services
Q:
work on a Ronco round dehydrator?
Answer: I don't think so, probably too big.
Answer: Not sure
Answer: Sure does
Q:
Can these trays be used in an oven?
Answer: I wouldn't try it...they are plastic trays intended for use with a nesco food dehydrator.
Answer: Absolutely not. They are made of some type of durable plastic fine for dehydration but not for the oven.
Answer: i'm not sure...i only use them in the dehydrator and it's highest temp is 160
Answer: That's not what they're made for, and I'm sure the manufacturer would say NO!! I wouldn't hesitate to do it though, as long as you keep the temperature 190 or below.
Answer: Absolutely Not There made out of Plastic!
Answer: No, they are plastic.
Q:
What are the dimensions of this item?
Q:
I've got a fd20, yes its a zillian years old but it still work perfectly....the trays are 13.5 inches acrosss and 1 1/4 deep. Will these trats fit?
Answer: The current info that comes with these trays does not list the FD-20 series as compatible. Please call NESCO customer service at 1-800-288-4545. They will be able to answer your question authoritatively.
Answer: For the FD-20 you will need LT-2TV, they are white trays now not clear but they do fit correctly. Thanks for asking!
Answer: Sorry but I cannot answer your question with confidence. I know these trays fit my Nesco.
Product reviews of Nesco LT-2SG Set of 2 Add-A-Tray for FD-61/FD-61WHC/FD-75A and FD-75PR Dehydrators, Gray
Pippi : Ok for price
These work good but they were warped. I needed them asap so I kept them and didn't return.
D. N. : Can't have enough trays
Even if you don't use all the trays at the same time, you will find if you do a lot of food prep for drying, you can never have enough trays.
This grouping brings my count up to 20 of them and I'll be adding more when I get the third dryer.
I do tremendous amounts of drying and these dryer systems and the trays make my life SO MUCH EASIER!
Stock up on them, as you can also use them for other things as well. Like if you have delicate sweaters that you need to dry, put out a few trays and lay you sweater on them to let the air circulate. So many uses and possibilities.
Shannon Martin : Fits FD-50
After reading negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised to receive these in perfect condition in a sealed box. The quality is not the same, but they fit my 20 yr old FD-50 and will work perfectly fine for my needs. They do bow upwards due to the lack of center stem, but this will not impede the drying since the majority of produce lies flat. I still have my old trays for items that must lie perfectly flat. I would recommend these for anyone who still has the FD-50.
S. Emery : I love my Nesco dehydrator !!
I love this line of products. I bought the dehydrator to help with building my food storage and was apprehensive because I had never used one before. But the price was VERY good so I decided to take the risk. I'm so glad I did.
Awesome product! I've had so much fun and my food storage is growing very quickly, with entirely different food options. Now I cant wait for my garden to start producing.
Unfortunately the unit only comes with four of the tray screens, so I've had to order more. This order makes twelve in all for me and I will be ordering even more in the near future so that I can keep expanding my food storage. I have zero regrets and highly recommend this product.
Love this dehydrator! Thank you Nesco for making a quality product and thank you amazon for getting it to me cheap and FAST!
J : Works pretty great
I got this dehydrator as a newbie. So far I've used it for maybe 30 hours or so, and love it. It works great, is quiet, and easy to clean. It's not super high quality (it's no excalibur), but for the price, it's a steal!
Pippi : Ok for price
These work good but they were warped. I needed them asap so I kept them and didn't return.
scrap girl : A perfect addition to your dehydrator
I have a Nesco dehydrator that came with five trays. As I have used it, I realized I could dry so much more if I had more trays. The beauty of Nesco is you can add trays as you need them. My dehydrator will expand to 12 trays. I currently have nine, sometimes I will use all of them and sometimes I only use a few. But I like having the option to use see many as I need. They match the dehydrator perfectly and look like they came with it.
cjlizzard : Ok, a little flimsy.
Not very robust and not a perfect fit. Time will tell on how well they stand up. Good price.
John P. : Extra trays
Purchased these trays to expand the capabilities of my nesco dehydrator. They fit as they should and work very well. They came in protective padding and were adequately boxed for delivery. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking to expand their nesco dehydrator.
Yaakov Shlomo : You get your money's worth!
There really is a lot to say about this dehydrator....It is very easy to use, the desired temperatures are Fully adjustable to whatever temperature that you want...you are not restricted to the click, click, click thing...you can dial it right in. The handle tucks away down into the top of the unit. The heater / fan unit is extremely well built and the fan design, along with they tray system gives all levels equal flow of heat. The trays can be taken out of the holders and larger items can use that space for drying. The loudness of the fan is low (probably like a small desk fan) and is really non-irritating. The unit is very easy to clean. It is just a very good dehydrator. I have owned one other one of a different brand and it did not compare to this one. It comes with 5 racks, but I purchased 2 more and it accommodated 5 lbs of muscle meat cut into 1/8 + inch strips. The Jerky came out just fantastic. I used Hi Mountain Jerky Seasoning. I was supposed to get three packages of the Nesco brand seasoning with the unit, but only received one. Not the end of the world, but hey... I am not going to die over it. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. It has me smiling :-)

Debra : Great for creating natural dog treats
Purchased this to create jerky treats for our diabetic dog. She loves them and I love that they are healthy all natural treats!
Cindy : All 4 trays were warped
I have used my Nesco food dehydrator for years and have several times added a few extra trays. This time all four of the recently purchased trays were warped and one was totally unusable. Not sure if these were actually Nesco trays. They seen floppier than the rest and not as good of quality as Nesco has produced in the past. Perhaps it's better to order directly from American Harvest in the future. I'd like amazon to replace or refund me for these. Very disappointed.
SmokinJoe : Different design
These aren't as well designed/built as the original ones that came with my dehydrator. Not that the trays are weaker, they just don't lock together with the base or older trays as nice. They still work otherwise.
cjlizzard : Ok, a little flimsy.
Not very robust and not a perfect fit. Time will tell on how well they stand up. Good price.
Dani : I've been dehydrating for a long time and I highly recommend do not use these trays find another one
Do not buy this item. It does not fit a DF 51 Nesco dehydrator- well. First of all when I use it I have to finagle with it to fit my dehydrator from Nesco. Meaning I have to twisted it & turn it & flip it upside down to make it fit correctly'ish. Also it's missing the Rings in the middle. Which means it doesn't support the trays above .... I will keep them. But I will never buy them again. The plastic is cheap too.... I've been dehydrating for a long time and I highly recommend do not use these trays find another one... And make sure.. it has the Rings in the middle and it fits the dehydrator correctly. My bad it was.... I did not pull these trays out of the box fast enough and use them right away to know there was a major difference from the trays that I purchased from Nessco.... Had I use them right away I would have returned them!!!!
WiseCrew : REdesign them AGAIN!! Not so much...
Okay, so these DO fit my VERY VERY VERY old FD-50.
AND they HAVE been REdesigned...sigh...
The GOOD:
They fit my very old FD-50.
The BAD:
The tines are MUCH FURTHER apart than my original trays.
There is NOT the center core with the notches in it, like the original & older replacement trays have; the downside to that is that they made the trays so that they are BOWED up in the center, which I assume is to keep whatever you are dehydrating from rolling through the center tray opening... SO if you are trying to make fruit leather, dry larger fruits (think strawberries, berries, cherries, etc.), etc. they ROLL backwards to the outer edges of the trays, & all cluster together, which INTERFERES with PROPER drying.
Had they just LEFT the center ALONE like the ORIGINAL DESIGN, the rolling would not be an issue... sigh... all to save a few cents in plastic (I assume that was the reason for the design change)?!
-------------------------
Overall assessment:
Do the trays work for dehydrating herbs, flowers, etc?? YES, they DO work for those things.
Do the trays work for things like sliced foods that won't roll like apple slices, etc?? Yes, apples, pears, peaches, tc. work fine, BUT something that is smaller, like bananas is a HUGE HASSLE unless you use the plastic mesh screens to be able to remove them easily.
The tines being further apart makes the smaller, stickier things HARDER to REMOVE from the trays & results in crumbled up food slices, slashes under your fingernails, if you are like me & get so FRUSTRATED trying to remove them that you use your fingernails not realizing how SHARP the banana slices can be... yes, I am a KLUTZ.
So would I recommend these trays if you're like me & don't have the money to replace your ancient dehydrator??
I'd say YES, but only IF you are aware that you may have rolling issues w/fruits, etc... & that making fruit leather will result in the center part of it being THINNER than the OUTER edge due to the trays being TILTED to the outer edges., which also means your drying time will need to be LONGER due to the outer edges being THICKER & that could result in the INSIDE edges being OVER dried depending upon how thick you make them overall. Regardless of how thick you make them, they will still require UNEQUAL drying time to get them COMPLETELY & EQUALLY dry. If you make them thinner, that will take less time, but it will also mean a thinnerfruit roll & less product volume in the end, so BEWARE of that!
If you are only using yours for drying herbs, flower heads, etc. that won't roll, you probably won't have any issues.
Overall I am going with 1 star because I think that the trays should be REdesigned AGAIN to bring back the center stem. One should not have to use a product in a different way, such as making fruit rolls thinner which results in A HASSLE of uneven drying, less product, etc., just to use the "NEWLY" designed product. It is doable for leaves, flowers, etc., but I think that this product is supposed to be for fruit rolls, jerky, etc. & no extra hassle should be required of the user to make their product function properly as it once did.
IMO these are DEFECTIVE & need a ANOTHER REDESIGN. I am forced to keep using mine until I can afford to replace my 20+ year old dehydrator though. I have a few original trays left & I also have some of the older model "replacemenr trays" which actually weren't raised in the center, so I can make fruit leather on those still, but the new ones NOT SO MUCH!
Cally : Fits super old Snackmasters.
A few weeks ago I was gifted an early 1990's Snackmaster food dehydrator from a friend. It's basically brand new aside from being almost as old as I am. Even though the model of my dehydrator wasn't listed as being compatible with these trays, I took a chance on them. They are a different style, but the same size. I can place them UNDER my old trays and they fit perfect! Quality of the plastic seems to be comparable to the early 90's ones that came with my dehydrator.

Tammy Peterson : Great product!
I've had this dehydrator for over a year and I LOVE IT!!! It does everything I need it for, however, I have just started eating more RAW foods and need it for warming foods, but I find I need "spacer trays" to raise the top so I can get deeper plates of food in the dehydrator. I might just have to "gut" a couple of my trays to achieve this since I'm not finding trays without the middle. I bought it mainly for making beef jerky, but have made apples and other fruits and veggies with it. I like that the heat is on the top and rotates thru a large stack of trays very consistently.
Dan : not too good.
the quality control is very lousy. they seriously cheaped out on designing these items. just like everyone else says, they are NOT the same as OEM. the trays barely line up with each other. they barely fit with the older trays. you must keep the new ones on the bottom or there will be a serious gap between new and old. they are so VERY cheap feeling compared to the OEM ones. the old ones had very little flex in them. these new ones are very warped and bend in the breeze. the box says “made in the USA”. I am very disappointed in that. These would easily pass as something made in some Chinese sweatshop. Shame on Nesco for passing these off as quality replacements.
Sherryl york : Replacement trays
I already had the dehydrator but needed more trays for making apple chips. They added to my old machine perfect. I spray them w cooking oil first and they are very easy to clean!
Mandy Bee : Works for Jerky
I ordered these replacement racks to replace two that were accidentally melted in the bottom rack of our dishwasher. The color of the plastic is noticeably different, but they fit our NESCO FD-61WHC perfectly. The other reviewers have already pointed out that the redesigned racks are higher in the center than the old ones, but my husband only uses our dehydrator for jerky, fruit and nuts, so he's not affected by the difference. It was a good purchase for us and I'll order more in the future if we need them.

JoArDar : Not a good replacement, it barely passes.
The plastic is warped and flimsy. The attached pictures show a close-up of the tray. The other picture shows the flimsy new tray on the left and a tray I bought a few years ago. Its embarassing that this is what made in the USA has come to. I pray that these are not being exported to other countries.
Web Shopper : 50% of the pieces are warped in the 1st order and replacement order.
With 2 pc's per box, I'm going to have to return 5 boxes in order to get 10 good trays.
I think the mfgr. had a bad batch and they are mixing them with a properly formed trays in order to get rid of the ones that should have been scrapped.
Frustrating.......

Do not really fit well. Slightest bump will cause trays to separate and fall.
dmendez : Good product
Good expansion to the main unit. Cleaning is a little problematic, just soak in warm soapy water and scrub.
J : Works pretty great
I got this dehydrator as a newbie. So far I've used it for maybe 30 hours or so, and love it. It works great, is quiet, and easy to clean. It's not super high quality (it's no excalibur), but for the price, it's a steal!
The Random Repairman : Not the same as in my new 75-a snackmaster
Not the same as the ones that came with the new 75-a. These are opposite angled and habe A cone thing in the middle. You will lose 1 tray in expansion because no room to use it since tray Sloaps almost touch. Assenine design change that isn’t backwards comparable.
Jax D : Soak to clean
We make a lot of jerky and these have worked great! I hate cleaning the trays though. I have to soak them over night and they take a lot of scrubbing to clean the grates. I love the jerky though!
Kate Douglas : Perfect for the job
I have a dehydrator and don't really have room to put a second one, so adding a couple of trays makes a huge difference in the amount of fruit I can dry. My fuyu persimmons were all ripe at once, at least the ones the bears and foxes didn't eat, and I was able to get them dehydrated before any of them went bad. We have a small orchard in the foothills, and I did apples, pears, and the fuyu persimmons. The extra trays made it go so much faster. They fit perfectly, and though it says not to put them in the dishwasher, they do fine on the top level without using the dry setting. I never use it anyway as everything dries just fine without wasting the electricity.

Eugene : Compatible with older Nesco dehydrator and good for drying 3d printing filament
Older reviews complain about the product photos not matching the trays, but the photos have since been updated and the trays I received did match the photos, so I am happy with what I received. The box still has pictures of the old trays, and there's still a note inside saying the trays don't match the box. Manufacturers should not be changing their product without changing the model number and SKU.
Even though the manufacturer acted poorly in the past, I got what I expected, and I'm completely satisfied with it. The trays are light gray with a darker speckle texture. The trays are dished in the middle and support plenty of weight. Unlike the older trays, these do not have the "pizza box table" support rings in the middle. These perfectly match my ~15 year old Nesco dehydrator mechanically, and they're the same height, although the color doesn't match the older white trays. These are a great value, and I'll be ordering more. I also want to note that with the mesh cut out, two trays provide enough space for a 1kg spool of 3d printing filament.
Cally : Fits super old Snackmasters.

Cortney : They Shipped me a visibly damaged product
These trays would be working great. I ordered 3 sets (6trays total) they came in boxes of 2 inside a larger box. The shipping box was completely Undamaged. Not so much as a scuff. Inside 1 of the 3 boxes was ripped open. Upon removing the trays from the damaged box I found that the tray it’s self was damaged. Due to the fact that the shipping box was undamaged that means they were shipped from the warehouse in the condition I received them. Hopefully they will make it right. Other than the damaged trays they fit great and work well. I made fruit roll ups today and just started a batch of jerky.
JimTexK : Nesco American Harvest LT-2SG Add-A-Tray
These trays match my model FD-61 perfectly! At first I thought maybe I made a mistake in ordering these trays and that I would never need them. Wrong!! I found out real quick that the FD-61 will handle the extra trays and you will need them as soon as you find out all the things you can do with the FD-61. I dry fruits, vegetables and make beef jerky (including some made from lean ground beef with a jerky-gun). Originally, I bought the FD-61 to make chicken jerky treats for our dog because the Chinese-made chicken jerky treats we were giving him, were making him itchy and he was butt-scooting all the time. With the chicken jerky treats we make with the FD-61, he no long itches or butt-scoots. And, the treats are so easy to make with cheap frozen chicken breasts from Wal Mart and this dehydrator. I know I kind of got off subject here but you will not regret getting these extra trays as they fit and work perfectly with the FD-61 as well as some other models of Nesco dehydrators. You will find you need them and they are worth buying, trust me.
GuyD : this is the 2nd order of these, and they ...
this is the 2nd order of these, and they are not the same as the dehydrator they were bought for, FD-61, even thou the box said they were the right ones. not happy right now
cjlizzard : Ok, a little flimsy.
Not very robust and not a perfect fit. Time will tell on how well they stand up. Good price.
MLM461 : It'll slide if not seated properly
I love my dehydrator and needed the extra shelves for some time. The only problem with the replacement shelves is that the little "pins" and the center circle that hold the shelf onto the other shelf are not as large as the ones that came with the dehydrator. This makes the shelves not as sturdy and kinda wobbly. The seal isn't as good and the shelf slides a bit and you really have to make sure it is set correctly or it'll slide when moved or bumped. It doesn't seem to affect the drying / air circulation if you make sure to settle the shelves onto the other shelves. If not, I can assume that you lose some of the heat / air...but not drastically. It's just a little inconvenience but worth mentioning.
KDA : Convenient way to add more drying space.
Great to have the ability to add extra trays, but here's a tip: if you go to the Nesco site you can buy trays with removable middle sections. This allows you to dehydrate thicker items, or if you stack enough of them you could use the unit to raise bread dough.
I do find that adding more trays increases the drying time, and I get better results if I rotate the trays. Still, it's worth it to have a few extra.

Purchased this to create jerky treats for our diabetic dog. She loves them and I love that they are healthy all natural treats!
Farm-girl : Recommend
I have the older model Nesco and these fit perfectly. I’d buy a newer model but mine is still working wonderfully after 20 years.
