These are also great for sticky foods. The item number depends on the model of dehydrator you have. The clean-a-screens for the FD-61/75 models is item number LM-2.
Answer: They will probably be ok except for the smallest of blueberries. But ever since I started using the Nesco LM-2 clean-a-screan I use those for everything. Answer: We recommend that you hand-wash the trays, however, they are dishwasher safe as long as you remove them before the dry cycle as that can get so hot it melts the trays.

Answer: I think the question is do they have the raised center hub (kind of a collar an inch high) with the slots in it? There are some of they trays that come without that and are kind of floppy in the middle. The FD-75A comes with the weak, cheapo trays.

Answer: I really can't tell you that. I do not have that model, like I said, my dehydrator is from 1993. I really don't know how someone could say they aren't good. All you do it lay food on them to dry. They worked fine for me, and my trial run with them was jerky. I even used ground meat and didn't have any trouble with it sticking or falling through the slats.

Answer: I rotate my trays. If I can dehydrate something in 10-12 hours versus 18-24 to save energy costs, then I will rotate trays. The way the trays set traps the heat somewhat so it is not necessary. The unit does put out heat into the room so my thought on rotating is it will enable quicker drying and eliminate the heat output into the room.
Answer: I have 7 trays and I always rotate them whether I use them all or only 2. After about 30 minutes of drying time, I take the bottom tray and move it to the top. I do turn the heat up some, when using all the trays. If you are drying fruit and vegetables, if you take too long to dry them, they will mildew. (they will in the south) I dry a lot of herbs fresh from my garden and they always turn out very good. I always try to fill all the trays to save on electricity.

The original nesco trays had much more room, these new ones are the same size but have half the occupancy, I can't imagine how you'd design something so simple so much worse the second time. I still overall like the nesco stackable design, but these new trays are oddly shaped towards the center and have far less capacity. I just use my old trays instead of the ones I ordered. Dissapointng because I bought three????♂️

What is pictured in the photo on Amazon and on the box is NOT what they give you. There is a slip of paper inside the box that says that these have been re-designed to fit several models, but in my FD-61 the only way they fit is by turning them upside down. The problem with that is that the slope of the tray goes upwards instead of downwards like my original trays and they can only be stacked on the top of the old trays because of the opposite angles of the trays. Pretty poor deal all around. Feel like I've been a victim of false advertising. I will make them work, but I'm not very happy. BTW-This is the first one star review I've ever given.

Do not buy this item. It does not fit a DF 51 Nesco dehydrator- well. First of all when I use it I have to finagle with it to fit my dehydrator from Nesco. Meaning I have to twisted it & turn it & flip it upside down to make it fit correctly'ish. Also it's missing the Rings in the middle. Which means it doesn't support the trays above .... I will keep them. But I will never buy them again. The plastic is cheap too.... I've been dehydrating for a long time and I highly recommend do not use these trays find another one... And make sure.. it has the Rings in the middle and it fits the dehydrator correctly. My bad it was.... I did not pull these trays out of the box fast enough and use them right away to know there was a major difference from the trays that I purchased from Nessco.... Had I use them right away I would have returned them!!!!

I have these already and they are great with my food dehydrator. I found them a bit difficult to clean because of the size in the dishwasher so I use parchment paper with or without the mesh screens on top of the racks then soak them in a tub (like they use for horses, with the rope handles which I was able to find on Amazon) of soapy water for a bit with great results. I highly recommend them.

I accidentally ordered this for my FD-60, and was pleasantly surprised to find that they fit. There was even a note in the box mentioning the redesign, but saying that it will fit the 50, 60, and 61. I can't recall what other models were noted.
As mentioned in other reviews, the inner portion of the tray is bowed, so it is not good for liquids, like for making fruit leather. There is also a bit more space between the tines as others have said. I'm a big fan of the silicone mesh sheets for solving that problem. Makes cleanup much easier too.

Trays fit my dehydrator just fine, but were warped upon arrival. I hoped they would flatten out after using them, but they have not. Still works for some things, but can't use these trays with my fruit leather trays.

A few weeks ago I was gifted an early 1990's Snackmaster food dehydrator from a friend. It's basically brand new aside from being almost as old as I am. Even though the model of my dehydrator wasn't listed as being compatible with these trays, I took a chance on them. They are a different style, but the same size. I can place them UNDER my old trays and they fit perfect! Quality of the plastic seems to be comparable to the early 90's ones that came with my dehydrator.

Great to have the ability to add extra trays, but here's a tip: if you go to the Nesco site you can buy trays with removable middle sections. This allows you to dehydrate thicker items, or if you stack enough of them you could use the unit to raise bread dough.
I do find that adding more trays increases the drying time, and I get better results if I rotate the trays. Still, it's worth it to have a few extra.

Purchased these trays to expand the capabilities of my nesco dehydrator. They fit as they should and work very well. They came in protective padding and were adequately boxed for delivery. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking to expand their nesco dehydrator.

I don't get all the bad reviews? I got these the same time I ordered my dehydrator, and they are indistinguishable from the ones that came with the machine. They hold up really well, clean up beautifully and serve their intended purpose perfectly.
I was worried when I had some strawberries and bananas stick to them. It seemed they were stained by the strawberry juice, and I was concerned they were going to break when I cleaned them. But nothing doing... they cleaned up beautifully, and I now know to make my fruit slices thicker (that is why they were sticking so bad... too thin)

These work good but they were warped. I needed them asap so I kept them and didn't return.

I have a Nesco FD-61 that came with 4 of the original trays (the ones with the castle dome in the middle). I extended it to 6 trays and they had a changed design that isn't as convenient. They removed that castle dome, which helped putting the whole thing together with hands covered in Jerky marinade.
This is the 3rd design and in one word: flimsy. Apparently someone who doesn't use a food dehydrator for real figured out how to save some plastic in the manufacturing process.
They still fit my needs because I cut out the inner part to use them as spacer rings to dry 3D printer filament spools. I would not recommend getting these if you intend to go berserk on Jerky production.

I was told that this would fit my model, but they are not the same. YES, technically they do fit together with the trays that come with my machine, but the center part is much higher. Either they are the wrong part, or my brand new machine was sent with outdated parts.
I don't know if the center height will make a difference or not, but I'm ticked off that they don't match. Either way, Nesco screwed me over.

I did try to support a local business to purchase this item first but Amazon totally had them beat by the price. Sorry, not sorry. These were packaged beautifully (the local ones were all a little-worse-for-wear looking) and fit my dehydrator perfectly.

I bought four of these to expand my older Nesco dehydrator (two packs of two). They fit fine into the older dehydrator when initially purchased. They are certainly not the same quality as the original dehydrator rings. All four were put in the dishwasher on a normal cycle following the first use. They warped and never provided a tight seal again in the dehydrator again. Cheap junk. Buyer beware.

Not what I expected. I typed in my make and model and these came up. They stack well on each other but did not fit perfectly to the model my dehydrator is. Putting the lid on these off brand trays it isn’t a closed fit so air leaks out faster that it’s built to. They don’t line up so I’m disappointed they popped up for my model as a match.
Desert Hiker : More volume for favorite fruits and veggies - easy to clean
The best thing about these dehydrator trays is they are the same as what comes with the Nesco Dehydrator and the fruit and veggies do not stick, they are easy to clean, and rotating them during dehydration is a breeze. We bought two to add to our Nesco that came from Amazon with 5 trays. Our tray stack is now 7 high, so we rotate about halfway through the drying process. 7 trays holds a lot of fruit and our favorites, apples, mangos, kiwi, bananas, peaches .... just slice, place them on the rack, and dry. I would buy again. Recommend!

the quality control is very lousy. they seriously cheaped out on designing these items. just like everyone else says, they are NOT the same as OEM. the trays barely line up with each other. they barely fit with the older trays. you must keep the new ones on the bottom or there will be a serious gap between new and old. they are so VERY cheap feeling compared to the OEM ones. the old ones had very little flex in them. these new ones are very warped and bend in the breeze. the box says “made in the USA”. I am very disappointed in that. These would easily pass as something made in some Chinese sweatshop. Shame on Nesco for passing these off as quality replacements.

After reading negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised to receive these in perfect condition in a sealed box. The quality is not the same, but they fit my 20 yr old FD-50 and will work perfectly fine for my needs. They do bow upwards due to the lack of center stem, but this will not impede the drying since the majority of produce lies flat. I still have my old trays for items that must lie perfectly flat. I would recommend these for anyone who still has the FD-50.

There is no "lip" or whatever you want to call it in the center where the hole is. Consequently when I use the yogurt/fruit roll up tray on it, it does not stay in place. My new dehydrator had different style of "lip", but it still had the raised edge around circle; this keeps tray in place much better.

Like everybody else, I soon found out that I needed more trays. I have a fairly recent version of the Nesco dehydrator (FD 75A) sold here on Amazon, and these trays look identical to the ones that came with my dehydrator. Same color, same shape/size, same grey speckling, and the inside part of the tray looks the same where it has the slight incline towards the middle ring.
Owners of older dehydrators that have bought these additional trays have complained that they are different, and I wasn't quite sure what I was going to get, but looks like these trays are identical to the ones that came with the FD-75A.
I'm happy.

I have these already and they are great with my food dehydrator. I found them a bit difficult to clean because of the size in the dishwasher so I use parchment paper with or without the mesh screens on top of the racks then soak them in a tub (like they use for horses, with the rope handles which I was able to find on Amazon) of soapy water for a bit with great results. I highly recommend them.

I have a dehydrator and don't really have room to put a second one, so adding a couple of trays makes a huge difference in the amount of fruit I can dry. My fuyu persimmons were all ripe at once, at least the ones the bears and foxes didn't eat, and I was able to get them dehydrated before any of them went bad. We have a small orchard in the foothills, and I did apples, pears, and the fuyu persimmons. The extra trays made it go so much faster. They fit perfectly, and though it says not to put them in the dishwasher, they do fine on the top level without using the dry setting. I never use it anyway as everything dries just fine without wasting the electricity.

Product works good in dryer but would be better if there was a lip of some kind around the center hole in the tray similar to the original tray. That would help prevent spillage into the center bottom fan.

I have an old American Harvest Snackmaster that I got when my kids were little over 20 years ago. I recently pulled it out of storage and have been enjoying dehydrating again. I wanted to get more trays to be able to dehydrate more fruit at once. I was pleased that these trays fit my 20 year old model perfectly and I will be getting more to expand my machine.

I have a Nesco dehydrator that came with five trays. As I have used it, I realized I could dry so much more if I had more trays. The beauty of Nesco is you can add trays as you need them. My dehydrator will expand to 12 trays. I currently have nine, sometimes I will use all of them and sometimes I only use a few. But I like having the option to use see many as I need. They match the dehydrator perfectly and look like they came with it.

Do not buy this item. It does not fit a DF 51 Nesco dehydrator- well. First of all when I use it I have to finagle with it to fit my dehydrator from Nesco. Meaning I have to twisted it & turn it & flip it upside down to make it fit correctly'ish. Also it's missing the Rings in the middle. Which means it doesn't support the trays above .... I will keep them. But I will never buy them again. The plastic is cheap too.... I've been dehydrating for a long time and I highly recommend do not use these trays find another one... And make sure.. it has the Rings in the middle and it fits the dehydrator correctly. My bad it was.... I did not pull these trays out of the box fast enough and use them right away to know there was a major difference from the trays that I purchased from Nessco.... Had I use them right away I would have returned them!!!!

Trays fit my dehydrator just fine, but were warped upon arrival. I hoped they would flatten out after using them, but they have not. Still works for some things, but can't use these trays with my fruit leather trays.

These two racks have a centerpiece that the ones that came with it don't have. Therefore, they are a little stronger. Otherwise, they work as they should. Just wish the casting of all of the trays was better so cleaning them wouldn't take so long.

The plastic is warped and flimsy. The attached pictures show a close-up of the tray. The other picture shows the flimsy new tray on the left and a tray I bought a few years ago. Its embarassing that this is what made in the USA has come to. I pray that these are not being exported to other countries.

I ordered these replacement racks to replace two that were accidentally melted in the bottom rack of our dishwasher. The color of the plastic is noticeably different, but they fit our NESCO FD-61WHC perfectly. The other reviewers have already pointed out that the redesigned racks are higher in the center than the old ones, but my husband only uses our dehydrator for jerky, fruit and nuts, so he's not affected by the difference. It was a good purchase for us and I'll order more in the future if we need them.

I ordered two boxes of these trays and was so happy when I opened the first box to find the old design, opened the second box and lost my smile when I found the new design. Not sure what Nesco was thinking when they redesigned these but I hate them. It use to be so easy and fast to dump a bag of veggies like corn or peas on, spread them out and off you go, not now, now you pour them on and watch them roll down the center hole grrrr. It also use to be so fast and easy to take the tray of dried food and tilt it on its side and just brush the food off into a bowl, not now, now it rolls out the hole and all over the counter top before it gets to the bowl. The center raised piece that use to make these trays really sturdy is now gone and what we are left with is a tray that warps upward as soon as they get hot. Give me the good old days when a company made things and didn't mess them up by trying to make them cheaper.

Fits my older Snackmaster 2400 FD-50 perfectly. The center is changed and the plastic might be just a little bit lighter weight than original - but it is still 100% useable and fits perfectly. I bought more trays so I could stack up to the maximum my dehydrator can use (12) I went from 4 trays upto 12. I also bought bulk plastic tray mesh and cut it to fit - the center now is flat so the full capacity of the tray is useable without the center hole. Well worth it.

I've had this dehydrator for over a year and I LOVE IT!!! It does everything I need it for, however, I have just started eating more RAW foods and need it for warming foods, but I find I need "spacer trays" to raise the top so I can get deeper plates of food in the dehydrator. I might just have to "gut" a couple of my trays to achieve this since I'm not finding trays without the middle. I bought it mainly for making beef jerky, but have made apples and other fruits and veggies with it. I like that the heat is on the top and rotates thru a large stack of trays very consistently.
