Answer: The VM 210 is a chamber vacuum sealer. Although these bags will work it is best and also will save you money by using vacuum chamber pouches. The chamber pouches are "smooth" on both side, not embossed.

Answer: No not exactly. The Olisa model requires a vacuum bag with a closure like a zipper. Product in the bag, zip close the bag and then the Olisa machine will pierce, vacuum and seal the pierced opening. The Olisa machine is designed to use exclusive vacuum bags. However we have some users that will insert food into our vac bag, then heat seal is closed. Then use the Olisa machine. By heat sealing the bag closed vs a zipper, the vacuum is maintained longer especially for food stored in deep freezer. Thanks

TIM LEWIS : Very handy and economical.
I use a Geryon vacuum sealer. These bags worked very well with my sealer for packaging steaks, pork chops, bacon and chicken. They seal up without issue and are a very good value when purchased in the 200 bag quantity. Also, since one end is already heat sealed, packaging is much faster. I can’t speak to durability since most of the items remain frozen at this time, but my impression during packaging was very good. These are very handy and economical.
Amazon Customer : Cannot get a vacum with food saver unless bag is cut.
I could not get a vacuum with these bags in my Food Saver vacuum sealer. I bought some more Food Saver brand bags and they vacuum fine. I cut a inch off the end of one of these and the bag will now vacuum. As a workaround I cut a inch or more off the end of the pre cut bag. Just a heads up if you have a similar problem.

These bags are embossed with a line on each side of the bag going different directions. The lines cross when the sides are held against each other. The embossing is not very deep. These bags don't allow the suction to work very well.

These bags work great with my vacuum sealer! Good suction, pre cut to the quart size, which I love, much cheaper than the ones that go with my sealer. I will definitely order more and will be telling my brother about them. We buy in bulk and divide into portion size and vacuum seal. I'm so happy I bought these bags. Be sure to lay the ridge side down when sealing.???? ???? ????????????
Sunnyside : Don't waste your money.
I was looking for pre-made Foodsaver storage bags and ran across these. The price was definitely great but only about one in four bags actually get air sucked out. At first I thought my Foodsaver was going out but it's almost new. I still had about a dozen of the pre-made bags made by Foodsaver and decided to try them to see if the cheap bags were the problem and yes, they are cheaply made compared to the Foodsaver bags. Most of them don't get the air sucked out. so are useless. Don't waste your money on these!
RB : These bags are defective
I have ordered these bags in the past and was satisfied with their product. Unfortunately, I did not check the new ones I purchased until the older bags previously purchased, (Avid Armor) were used up. I finally tried to use the new ones (2 pkg's of the 200's, 8 x 12's) and found out today that they ALL are defective. The bags will not allow the air to be vacuumed out. After trying numerous bags from the new pkg's without success we then tried our previously purchased bags and the vacuuming worked just fine. The newest, and very expensive, bags from Avid Armor were definitely defective! Unfortunately, since it took time to open them for use, we have passed the time for a return to Amazon. Will not purchase from Avid Armor again since their products can not be trusted.

Had problems making smaller bags. Turns out this order came as 2 packages of 100 bags. First bag I opened had curled sides. When I got to second bag that was nice and flat, I did not have near the problems making smaller bags as I did from first bag. So I would suggest if you order these bags and either set is curled, get replacement. I even had full size bags from first set not seal because of curl best as I can tell. Just check for flatness when ordering.

Bags are used to vacuum seal fish caught during my annual salmon fishing trip to Alaska. Bags must be faulty because the air cannot be vacuumed out. Bags were tried on two different sealers and still didn't work. I also purchased the pint size bags and these smaller bags are great. I am so disappointed in the quart size product and will not order it again. Is there any way to return these useless bags for credit? Why doesn't Amazon reply to my request on returning the faulty or defective bags for credit? Everyone of those complaints are legitimate. Why are you still selling Avid Armor's 8"X12" Quart size Vacuum Sealer Bag's?

Averaging just over a 2% failure rate with these bags, which is still within acceptable margins given the price.
Compared to name brand, these seem slightly thinner and less pliable.
Suggest that these are perfect for high-volume needs like Sous Vide cooking but less so for freezer storage.

Do not buy these. I tried sooooo many bags before giving up. Our sealer wouldn't suck the air out of them, but it worked just fine with a different brand of bags.

I make my own smoked meats. I make little snack pack size by cutting them way down seal and done to big packs. Always seals and never have problems. Thanks

I package a lot of fish/meat each year, and go through a couple hundred bags. I thought I would try these since the price was right. They are terrible, and will not pull a good vacuum in either a food saver or a much higher quality Weston sealers. Roughly 1 in 3 bags wouldn't vacuum the air out fully (channels clog and won't let air escape), and about 1 in 5 wouldn't hold a seal (usually from a micro hole in the bag). The "micro channel" bags are the best there is, IMO for vacuum sealing bags. I gave up after about 25 bags, and went the store to get better ones. I'm at a total loss how these bags have such high marks.

These bags are coarsly textured on the outside and that prevented us from getting a consistent air tight seal with our Cabelas commercial grade vac packer. Result is air in your package. I sent them back for a refund.

They easily suck (out air) for a very effective vacuum for food storage. The price-to-value is terrific compared to the brand ‘saver’ bags we used, and these seem to be more efficient according to our testing. I give this product my ‘buy’ recommendation!

After the Fall harvest of several deer we packaged up the meat and sealed the bags with no failures. I would say they are every bit as good as the original manufacturers bag at a fraction of the cost.

Price is unbeatable, quality on par with leading name brand, overall a GREAT value. Shipping was quick.
I used these to vacuum seal sliced smoked pork lions and they work great for both freezing and Sous-vide reheating. I also used them to vacuum seal T-bone steaks just used a piece of parchment paper over the bone to protect the bag, so far I've seen no signs of bag or seal failure.
I will definitely buy these from this retailer in the future.

4194chey : Great value and durability.
Even though these bags are quart size, it is very easy to cut and seal for smaller bags if i choose to. Also these bags are about 14 cents each and name brand bags are about 75 cents each. Great value and in comparison these bags actually feel thicker than the name brand bags.
Keith : An Excellent Product at an Excellent Price
I purchased these bags to freeze meat and to use with a Sous Vide Supreme Demi Water Oven. I own a FoodSaver v2244 and have used almost 50 bags without issue. The bags are very sturdy and seal perfectly. I have used them for ground beef, rib eye steaks, chicken thighs and breasts, pork loin, etc. The quart bags are spacious and can easily hold a 2 lb rib eye steak. If you are looking for a very competitively priced product that does the job just as you expect, this is an excellent choice that I highly recommend. I will definitely be re-ordering these bags when needed.

These are the perfect size for freezing meat of all kinds. It is just my husband and I so we portion the meat to suite our needs, I love these things...we ordered 200 this time and will be fine for quite some time, but when we get low will definitely reorder!!!

I always get these over the name brand. I have better luck with them sealing and I have never had any issues with sharp bones puncturing the bag. Why pay more for a worse product?

I was a bit apprehensive buying bags that were not the name brand I have been using for years ...but after using the first bag I was really impressed. Not only did the pre-cut bags seal perfectly, they are about 2 inches longer than the pre-cut name brand ones. The quality and thickness of these bags is comparable to my old favorites and they were a lot less expensive. I will definitely buy these again when it's time to restock!

Perhapsi I received a bad batch, bought these before. After 10-15 bags that were seal leaked I found that I had to reseal the product seal. Since then they’ve worked fine. Double the work. Will by another brand after these are gone

I bought these type of bags before and I just finished up that lot. I don’t know what’s wrong with the quality of these bags, but they don’t seal. It’s like they’re stored all rolled up or crammed in boxes so that distorted and you can’t get them to go flat again. I even tried putting bricks to flatten them but it doesn’t work. I end up cutting 1/4 of the bag to get them to give a seal. I won’t buy from this company again I’ll probably use these for daily lunches. It’s not just the size it’s the other size I bought too.
