Why is the origin in the description China, when the reel is made in the Missouri?

Answer: Yup, false advertising really. Amazon should provide country of origin data. I guess they like returns? I'm not keeping anything made in a communist country.

Answer: The product has a pamphlet in the box explaining this. The reel was only designed in the USA and then manufactured in China to keep the cost down to consumers. I was upset by this when I received the reel, as I thought I was supporting a "MADE IN AMERICA" company, but after using it I do not care where it was made it's an awesome reel.

phillip : Great looking lightweight reel very smooth.

I recently received 2 bolt 2000 reels. I haven't been able to put them to use yet but they appear to be well built,lightweight and very smooth. Had a issue with one of the reels drag but Ardent quickly fixed the problem and was very easy to work with. I will update this review after I've caught some fish and put some hours on the reels.
