Anybody know why there is a cigarette filter in the bag this came in? Also, did anybody get instructional directions included?

Answer: Dont think the cigarette butt was supposed to be there. No instructions with mine either. The net quickly rips and falls apart. I've tried sewing the rips but they dont last. It's best not to leave them in the water overnight because turtles rip right thru them and they rot a lot quicker.

Is the mesh holes small enough to catch 2” too 3” minnows

I have used this 4 times in 3 different spots. I feed the baitfish with hot dogs and bread so that what I use as bait. I know there are fish there I can see them. I leave the trap there for overnight or just an afternoon and I can’t catch any fish. All the bait is gone and I have only caught turtles. Buy a cast net if you wanna catch fish

Did great for me at the lake and at the coast off the pier catching bait fish.. I’d advise to purchase a longer and more durable rope to tie the trap to. The one it comes with is about the same thickness as a shoestring

The center opening on bottom has no way of being drawn or conched closed. Bait rolls out of the trap through the access hole quickly. The access hole itself does not seem secure enough to retain trapped fish.

It doesn’t work at least we tried it for a few times and never work. It was better to fish with a pole.

I bought it used it twice and it broke. I used several different types of bait and the fish dont get near it they get up to it and they swim away. It's got plastic pieces that are easy to break.

nice design and worked well, until the third pull from the pond and it collapsed. the wire holding the top ribs to the ring broke. wire twisted into place and it broke in the expected place near the twist. a better wire or solid ring would make me buy another.
