Answer: Can't remove the allumminum ring, but this ring can help me easy to throw the net, good quality and works great.

Answer: Dont buy it is a terrible net. I say this from experience with it. Poorly tied and very loose leads.

Net broke 2nd use. I have had several of these style nets. It threw great. Control string broke on 2nd use. Net just kept getting tangled on every thow after that. I liked the net OK. Asked for a replacement. Will update upon trying the new one. I really wanted to like this. But2 trows and out?

The mesh holes are to big, if you wait to get to the bottom doesn't pull uniform, and after use it once the weights are rusting, maybe is not for salt water but didn't find that info on the description

I opened the cast net directly out of the box . The mono netting was broken at several of the leads. I am in the process of returning this item
