Answer: No its sewn into the net and helps to throw it easy if you want one with out a frisbee I would just buy a regular cast net for cheaper

I have bought this after using a similar fishing net from a friend however this casting net is a complete joke compared to that. First of all it comes in a cardboard bag with no box of its own so after you use it you just have to figure a way to store it. Second, the wire used for this is 1/10 of what it should be so I can only imagine how casting over an oyster is going to tear the whole mesh apart. I can't even tell if it is all in one piece as the line is too thin to observe. I'll most likely return this piece of junk before it ruins my fishing day

I never want to give a bad review but this cast net is cheaply made. Casted 3 times on first day out and netting was separating from the weights. Weights tangle very easily and tear net up. I don’t buy cast nets to spend 1/2 my time sewing holes... FYI the net never got snagged in anything. Just cheap material

This net doesn't close when retrieving. Cast ok, but that damn ring drives me nuts. Go to retrieve it and half the weights are hanging leaving the fish to escape. I laid it out flat, check all the main lines, looks good. Lift it again on the grass and same thing. Lines are not crossed, not tangles, look the same length I can't see what is going on. Just doesn't retrieve closed. Throws open in a nice circle. Retrieve and its half open. I went to Walmart and bought same size net without the damn hoop and back in business. Suggest passing on this one.
