ULTRA FLEX The extreme flexibility stands out among its competitors. The sleek, sporty blade cuts precisely for detailing and plucking out bones. | TAPERED FLEX Our most iconic style fillet knife. Perfect for cleaning all types of fish. Flexibility allows for more precise filleting around bones while providing enough rigidity to slice through heavy meat or cut through the bones of fish. Ideal for salt or freshwater fish. | FLEX The semi-flexible blade is more lenient than our Stiff fillet blades and is a great option for cutting through heavier meats such as tuna and/or wahoo. | STIFF The construction of the stiff style fillet knife has little flex, making it controllable and great for any large game fish. It doubles as a great utility knife for meat carvers as the 2mm- wide blade is ideal for precision cutting. |

Q:
Can i recieve this item by saturday march 3rd

Answer: It’s a fish filet knife, I don’t know about steaks

Q:
So the blade is coated.tefloned. sharpened. painted and everything else but it's not stainless?
Answer: 8CR13MOV stainless steel
Answer: The best blades are carbon steel. They are harder and will hold an edge. Stainless blades are softer and the sharp edge rolls and becomes dull.
Answer: Yes, it's a high carbon stainless steel.
Answer: And that's a problem how? I fish offshore Oregon for halibut, lingcod, rockfish, salmon, etc. This knife is sharp, supple, and dies not rust.
Q:
Whats the best way to sharpen this knife?
Answer: I bought a steel from Bubba Blades at the same time as I bought the knife. Just a few strokes after cleaning several fish keeps the blade like a razor.

Answer: As far as I know, it should
Q:
Why does it says free shipping but charges $14.95 at checkout?
Q:
how long does it hold an edge ( stay sharp) ?
Answer: When filleting fish with very small scales like salmon and trout etc. the edge lasts for quite a while. Fish with larger scales like walleyes and northerns I usually sharpen my blade after doing a couple of fish.
Answer: Haven't had it long enough, but are very happy with it so far.
Answer: My husband said it needed to be sharpened after each use but, overall it's a great knife!
Answer: Better than most. Always good practice to touch up with a sharpening steel as you work.

Q:
Which knife would be best for freshwater panfish? I’m guessing the 7in or the 8in?
Answer: Honestly, it is a little big for panfish “In My Opinion “
Answer: It really depends on how big your fish are, but I use my 7” knife for everything including bluegill, crappie, bass, and large catfish. I don’t know that an extra inch would make a big difference either way.
Answer: The 7 inch works great for us.
Q:
Does this blade come with the sheath?

Q:
where are these made from?
Q:
Is it too big for panfish?
Answer: It is a bit big for panfish in my opinion.
Answer: I prefer the 7 inch over the 9 inch for panfish.I own both and like the 7 best especially for filleting steelhead.
Answer: It may be a little bulky but the thinness and flex should allow you to rotate the blade at the backbone for a clean fillet.
Answer: I find the handle gets in the way of smaller fish. Better for a nice walleye or lake trout.
Answer: No. I like it for most all my fishing needs.
Answer: No, perfect for hub cap sized Crappie
Answer: No. Best I have used so far.
Q:

Julie Visconti : Awesome knife ..I use it in my kitchen for a everyday use
Best knife ever
Aniq : Its a ok knife
Not really sure whats the hyper about Bubba, its definitely sharp, but not quite the 50$ tag worth. Built is really good though, so is the grip.
Gianfranco : A product for life
Nice and big handle to make the perfect cuts.
Awesome Dave : Blackfin tuna fillets
Size is Great for preparing blackfin tuna
South Florida home investors : This knife is the bomb. Sturdy. Has non slip handle and pressure points tabs
This knife is the bomb. Sturdy. Has non slip handle and pressure point tabs
Shawn : Not worth the money
Junk will not own another. I expected more for the price I paid.
Grant Hamaker : Great knife
Best knife I have ever used. Very flexible stays very sharp.
CWR : Sharp as a razor, but very controllable with wet hands or gloves, flexible enough for small fillets.
On the water cutting bait or cleaning fish on the fillet table...this one earned its keep.
Amazon Customer : Surgeon in our group loved it!
Used the knife to filet Northern Pike! Worked great.
gator girl : Sharp!
This is one of the best knives I have used for cleaning and slicing my catch. It is very comfortable in the hand and easy to hold. The blade is very sharp. Would highly recommend.
Ted L. : Take this knife anywhere
This knife works great for smaller fish. You can cut as thin as you want and feel the bones as you clean fish. I have an electric fillet knife to and I would rather use this Bubba Blade for smaller fish. The handle fits great in your hand to. Great knife, I would encourage everyone to have one.
OJ : It will cut you just looking at it!
Worth the money
Juan Cavazos : Awesome
Very nice fillet Knife
KG : Best in the business
Simply awesome
Nicholas Troiano : how to use it !
Love the handle and places for thumb, and side of fingers. Used it yesterday, Maybe sides of blade should be polished to glide better thru meat.
OJ : It will cut you just looking at it!
Worth the money
LeRoy Robinson : Wouldn't recommend
This knife has no flexibility at all. Its doesn't stay sharp and wasn't that sharp when I got it. Its not a very good knife at all to use filleting fish.
Peggy of Seattle : My first fillet knife -- good choice!
What do you do when you come home from a day of fishing with a 30" salmon and no idea of how to fillet it and no fillet knife in your kitchen? You hit youtube for instructional videos and then go to Amazon to order the same knife in the video! Thank you, same day delivery!
I like the grip, it felt very secure and safe while I filleted the salmon. The blade was sharp -- enough so that I ended up shredding the towel I had put on the counter under the salmon, oops! The 7" blade was easy to manage (although I probably could have used a longer blade for this size of fish). I ended up with lovely fillets for the freeze, not bad for a newbie. The price point was good, too.
Santiago Ortiz Jr : Poor sewing quality; poor case!
The knife itself is well built and a moderate value for the money. The knife feels sturdy. The thickness of the handle feels good in your hand. The reason for a poor review is the case: it arrived with the Velcro not sewn to handle strap. The knife is too long for the case and does not seat well; therefore will fall out when placed on my belt.
Ernesto L Buenaflor Jr : Very sharp knife
This Bubba fishing knife so sharp and made fillet fish much easy
Grant Hamaker : Great knife
Best knife I have ever used. Very flexible stays very sharp.
Jake Shambre : Excellent handle
Working as a whitetail guide, butchering and deboning 40 some deer a year with this knife it’s safe to say it’s worth the money. Never get cramped hands and holds a edge when used conservatively against bones. Filleted some fish with it also and it works flawlessly!
Top Rock : worth every penny
This is a great product provided it maintains an edge. The one thing that would make it stand out even more than it already is sharpening implement's.
Bryant P. : Good for the price
All in all, good knife. Has a good edge but we’ll see how well it holds up as I’ve only filleted with it once. The sheath absolutely sucks so if you can find a good leather one that will fit, I’d definitely recommend it!
Cajunbowhunter : awesome knife you need to put final hone when it ...
awesome knife you need to put final hone when it arrives but great for filleting fish when its wet knife doesnt slip in youre hand
Amazon Customer : Sharpness
I am not too happy with the sharpness of the blade, I was expecting it to be sharper.
Sjh : Excellent quality
Excellent product! We gave this as a gift to a couple fishermen in our family and they love it!
Jeff : Flexible
Great knife
KDW : Good quality And good pricing
Good quality
Keelie, Justn, TX. : Five Stars
Great blade, easy to work with. I used it on cleaning my Elk meat.
jb III : Disappointed
Very disappointed with this knife. Have only used it 3 times on Mahi fish filleting and had honestly thought it would slice thru the filet better than my 30 year old knives.. Not so.
Amy S. : Five Stars
Loves his new knife.
DDWAT : Great knife
Great feel. The flex is perfect with good sturdiness. The large handle makes it very manageable.
dan manley : Four Stars
great
Gary : I've owned a lot of fillet knives and this one is by far the best I've ever used
I've owned a lot of fillet knives and this one is by far the best I've ever used. Cleaned about 400 Lbs of Mullet for canning back in October and it only needed sharpening a few times.
Choadmaster11 : Sharp as a democratic tongue but gets the job done
Great knife. Putting it to the test and it is continuing to impress. Would definitely recommend. I've purchased another three sizes so I will always have the right tool for the job.
Gianfranco : A product for life
Nice and big handle to make the perfect cuts.
Becca : The best knife for outdoors man.
Awesome knife to use for fish filleting.
rick : Bubba Blade
The 7 inch is the right choice over the longer blades for me. Any fisherman would be happy with this knife. The handle is nice for gripping and the blade is very sharp. Cuts through fish like hot butter. I have carbon knives, SS knives and the only knife that comes close is the KA BAR knives I have. The Bubba Blade cost a little more but has some features the KA BARs do not have, but both are very good filet knives and are VERRRY SHARRRRP!
John Woodcox : Awesome knives
These knives are awesome. I currently have 4 and love them all. Didn't get a Bubba sticker with the last 2 that I bought though. Kinda bummed about that.
Sjh : Excellent quality
Excellent product! We gave this as a gift to a couple fishermen in our family and they love it!
Gary Atkins : Great knife poor scabbard
I love the knife it has great handle and flex able blade. The scabbard is not very good.
Charlie : Never will buy this again, or anything with the same name
Used 1 time, and was full before I finished with 1 bass????????♀️
Vic Marquez : Thank you
Blade is really sharp
Julie Visconti : Awesome knife ..I use it in my kitchen for a everyday use
Best knife ever
steelerscotty : Must buy!
Butter! Thats what its like using this knife! Period
Jennings Turner : Best fillet knife I have ever owned
Remarkable steel. Best fillet knife I have ever owned.
SC : Well built
Knife wasn’t as sharp as I thought it would be outta the box. Gave it 5 stars because it’s tough, well built and I got it at a GREAT price!
