Would this be good to take on bike ride to protect from dogs? I have pepper spray, but can't use if it's windy at all.

Answer: No, I'd suggest the upgrade to the "9mm" version, so that you can whack the fish from farther away. Unless you don't believe in that; in that case the walking fish perfer unarmed homes to break into, so go with neither. :)

California considers these weapons so the sporting goods stores no longer sell them. Not the most heavy duty but more than adequate for thumping trout and salmon. Thanks Amazon.

Bought this for my hobie outback. It’s plenty strong to wack some fish! The size is good too. I either have it under my seat, to the side of my seat, or sitting inside my tackle corners.

I was looking for something that could have fit inside my plier holes on the outback, but this is too thick to fit there. Just a heads up for those looking to put one there. Consider something a little less thicker, and a few inches shorter.
